They get most of their business through all the surrounding industry workplaces in the Geebung area, and they have a huge factory out the back for all the dry cleaning and heavy-duty washing. But the lady who does the repairs and sewing is very good, and has helped me alter and repair some delicate dresses over the years. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other dressmakers I've visited. They are open early on weekdays at 7am, so you can drop in before work. They are also not too far from the Geebung train station around the corner, so they are very conveniently located.

I've come here with split seams, holes, hemming disasters and more. The nice asian ladies here seem very understanding of my fashion woes and manage to perform small miracles. I'll never forget the advice my design teacher told me as well, If you tailor a garment well you are able to drop dress sizes. (And Looksmart promises just that.) Aside from their expert tailoring, they offer a vast range of services from Shortening, resizing, repairing and dry cleaning to hand embroidering, Beading, invisible mending and lengthening. With a handy location in Westfield Chermside (as well as their big sister store in the Myer Centre) This place should be your port of all for all fashion emergencies.

We get almost all of our pet suppliers from the Albany Creek Pet Café. They have everything you need to pamper, feed and exercise your pet be it a dog, cat, bird, fish, mouse, rat, guinea pig, duck, chicken or reptile! Best of all, it is all in one central location. They do NOT sell animals here - just pet supplies. The staff are very knowledgeable and always very friendly and willing to answer any questions you can throw their way. They stock good quality pet foods including Eukanuba and Science Diet. The pricing on the products available are quite reasonable, I don't believe they are overpriced, just good value for money.

The table is always set nicely and if there needs to be an adjustment in the schedule, the staff will gladly coordinate with the kitchen to delay or speed up the meals. The tavern has two private rooms that can be booked (Griffin or Petrie Room) for any type of private function. I have seen the room set up in different ways and they also have a podium, television, etc. I've had several meals here and would say that some day are better than others. The bread rolls are delicious. I could eat several of them. Then, the entrees and desserts vary week by week. When it's a steak and chips with salad, it's going to be a good night. The barramundi I had last week was horrible. It was WAY too chewy and rubbery. I couldn't even swallow part of it . I do not recommend getting fish there. Tonight, I had the mixed grill (pork sausage, lamb shank, and beef steak) with broccoli, corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. The mixed grill was pretty tasty and corn on the cob was sweet. The steamed broccoli was OK with nothing else added. The mashed potatoes were so bland though. They were the worst part of the meal and even adding salt and pepper didn't help. Their chips are great so had it been in place of the mashed potatoes, it would have been a pretty good meal. Desserts with ice cream and carrot cake with a strawberry on top is great. I like those nights. I don't really like the donut-like dessert filled with creme with chocolate on top. I would say that most nights, the food is pretty good but some nights are definitely better than others. The full bar has a decent collection and I love that they have Rekorderlig. I've also had their white wines and sparkling wines which are nothing too fancy but does the job. The public dining area is spacious with high ceilings. You can see into the kitchen which is always good. Nice place if you're driving through, taking the family out or going out with friends to watch sports.

As soon as you pay, the machine is active and ready to run. The wifi worked well, and there are outlets for your laptop next to a desk at the window. There's also a big table for folding laundry, and a clever gadget to help you fold your sheets. You don't have to guess about dryer heats -- a sign above the dryers tells you the temperature of each setting. Washers are $4 each. Dryers are $1 for 8 minutes. There's one large washer -- I forget the price. Discounted prices are available certain hours, which are advertised on the notice board. The only problem I had was quickly resolved. I had tried to use the vending machine to buy detergent, but the coin slot was jammed. I was able to pay with a bill and get coins as change, but the coins I put in got stuck. I phoned the two help numbers -- the landline went to voicemail and I left a message, but the mobile number was answered right away. He said he'd come by in 15 minutes to look into the problem, and he did. Shortly thereafter, a lady returned my call to the landline. When the owner arrived, he cleared the jam (caused by a sticky 20 cent coin in the slot), gave me my lost coins back, and offered me anything I'd like from the machine. The laundromat is in a small shopping center with its own small parking lot -- a few spaces are available for laundromat customers. I never had trouble getting a spot. It's near enough to the Gabba that I was able to walk down and watch a few overs of a Sheffield Shield match while waiting for my clothes to dry. The owner told me that they hope to add a location near the CBD, if they can find a spot with reasonable rent. Spring Hill is a possibility. I hope they do, as there is a dearth of laundry options in the CBD other than overpriced hotel laundry service.

But what really dampened my experience was the lack of customer service. To cut a long story short we didn't pick it up until Monday. I say it often: it's the little things that make a difference and it was just a little too "we don't care" for me. Perfect for the drop in/pick up drive through service and for a busy professional these guys would be a decent choice.

This isn't one of those fancy jobs with an internet cafe, you can simply wash and dry your clothes.
