He gave me my docket and said I could either pick it up in the afternoon or next day. I pick them up following day and all were in immaculate condition, as if brand new again. I was thrilled with the great service and quality cleaning they do, that I brought it many other items the next day. I…read morewanted to get it cleaned to prep for this winter, and not fully understanding dry cleaning, I figured if I got the poncho dry cleaned (instead of throwing it in the machine myself), it'd still retain its lovely fluffiness. So I googled E Laundry. The website had this deal, three items for $25.95, so I was like - awesome! I'll throw in another couple of items to get fancypants drycleaned. I phoned up, told them I was a first-time customer, mentioned the three-piece deal, was super excited. I even got my items picked up by the valet service. Long story short, my card ended up getting charged almost three times as much as I was expecting, because the poncho didn't count as "standard dry cleaning" - in fact, they chucked it through the wash like I would have done anyway, and the dirt mark I was hoping would have been removed by professionals still remained. The website has a little asterisk next to "standard dry cleaning" and yet I've been through the site with a fine-tooth comb and can't find the fine print for that asterisk. I sent off a sadface email, got no reply for a week, sent another email, and finally engaged in some dialogue. I wasn't really happy at all with the response but they tried their best to stop me whinging by offering to clean the garment again, free of charge. Sure, that's really nice of them, but I couldn't notice a difference the second time around.

In my case it was time to take the suit in. I haven't heard about them before but it was the closest to my house and to be honest i did like the way the outside looked with the big light bulbs around the sign and the black and white exterior. The staff were helpful and friendly and and asked if i wanted anything special or if the suit needed altering which is not normally done by the dry cleaners. It was a pretty standard order of just dry cleaning the suit and it cost just over 20 dollars which i thought was not too bad. They also offered to deliver it when it was ready but i opted out because its walking distance from my house. As well as altering clothes they also do fixes and embroidery. Along with all this they clean pet products like pet beds and blankets too. I also quite like the little cafe that is attached to E Laundry and is a good place to wait if you are early picking up your clothes.

CBD Dry Cleaners is absolutely ideal if you live in the big tower blocks by the river and they provide exceptional service. Super convenient and speedy - drop your cleaning off before 9am and get it back at 4pm. Service is great - there is a super friendly young guy who often works on the reception desk and knows all the regulars and makes a very mundane cleaning drop off and pick up experience fun. Cannot be bothered to clean your shoes? No problem, these guys will polish up your shoes for $10. I gave in a really battered pair of shoes and they came back a treat. They were even kind enough to have replaced my blue shoe laces which were frayed and broken which I thought was a super brilliant touch. I have also used their alteration and repair service. Suit trousers are always too long for me and they pin them up and get them cut just right. They can also do those really annoying jobs like popping buttons back on and mending seams that have come undone. Overall these guys offer a quality job at very reasonable prices.

Dropped shirts in Monday morning, told available Wednesday afternoon (I needed them for Thursday), finally managed to get them back on Friday. And the quality? Crap. They're the worst pressed shirts I've ever had from a dry cleaner. These guys are more expensive, take too long, and do a rubbish job. You can get your dry cleaning done cheaper, back the next day, and a far superior job. Avoid.
