Can't be more frustrated than I am with this store. I bought a portable AC in 2023, and it only lasted two summers before it broke down. After going through the warranty process, I was told the unit couldn't be repaired and was given store credit because I purchased the extended warranty. What a fucking scam. I was credited $450, but after shipping fees, environmental fees, and other bullshit charges that the warranty apparently doesn't cover, I could only use about $370 of it. The rest just vanished. So much for "full coverage." To make things worse, they didn't even have the replacement model available. I had to choose the only model they carried, and then they ran out of stock. Their solution? Pull one from Ontario. I placed the order in mid-May, and I STILL haven't received it. They tell me it takes 4-6 weeks to get to BC. Are you shipping this thing from a fucking third-world country? This is an absolutely fucking terrible way to run a business. The extended warranty is a joke, the replacement process is a nightmare, and the customer experience is complete garbage. AVOID THIS PLACE. DO NOT BUY THE FUCKING STORE WARRANTY. Ultra fucking shit. read more

This couch broke after only a couple months of moderate use. Upon opening the couch from the bottom, we found that the entire front board of the couch was dry rotted and filled with wood glue. It was basically crumbling. Since the couch frame seemed to be compromised from the very beginning, we decided to reach out to Leon's since their website says it has lifetime warranty for the frame of the couch. After spending 20 minutes trying to convince customer service that this couch did in fact have lifetime warranty included for the frame, they eventually agreed to get us a new wood frame free of charge. And we were expected to pick up the "frame" (all they gave us was a single board that probably cost about $4) from the Leon's store ourselves and put the couch back together ourselves (mind you, we live in an apartment). In the end, we were forced to spend hundreds of dollars on building supplies and the car rental (since we don't own a car), as well as over a day of time trying to replace the rotted board in this slapped-together couch, all because of a major manufacturing defect that shouldn't have been there in the first place. Long story short, Leon's is clearly not above selling you garbage, and if you figure it out, they'll do the least amount possible to accommodate you. For the price that this couch retails, you'd be much better off shopping somewhere else, or, honestly, building a couch yourself. Also, while I'm writing this review, I might as well mention that none of the covers are removable, every crumb or piece of dust sticks to the fabric, and after breaking the couch in (no pun intended) you'll sink into the middle and not be able to sit on the sides. Overall, huge disappointment and massive waste of money. We will not be shopping here ever again, and neither will our family or friends. read more

Purchased the extended warranty for recliner chair but when I contacted them because of fabric staining (dirt and wear) I was told that material wasn't covered and no suggestions were offered. When the chair wouldn't recline I was told that neither motor nor switch were covered (only fabric???!!!) So then I asked them to get me pricing and availability to replace the motor or switch and it's been 3 weeks now and they haven't responded, other than to tell me to wait for their phone call when I've called them for an update- and I haven't ordered it - I bought a new switch from Amazon, watched a YouTube video and changed it out myself. The Salesperson are working here are liars they can easily trap the customers saying that it will take 2-3 weeks only for furniture to arrive . Then they will call you after every two weeks that your furniture is still on the way from Edmonton. I am not sure if they get their furniture from India or China . Otherwise it won't take months . If you're unlucky enough to get sucked into buying Leon's L2 Platinum Coverage fabric protection program, considered that 100+ dollars as a write-off and a lesson learned. it's basically a scam. We were told by the salesman that the package included having someone come to your house to apply fabric protection on the sofa. Received a phone call shortly after saying they didn't have a technician in Richmond and we had to wait until one became available. I then called Zucora Home, a company whose name appeared on the brochure. I was told that applying the fabric protection was supposed to be done at Leon's warehouse, not in my house. If I could give zero stars I would to Leon's Richmond. I bought a couch and love seat on January 2 (paid in full) and was told they would arrive in 2-3 months as a special order. Leon's called February to tell me there was a manufacturer delay until May which is 60% more time than the original timeline. I called late April and they now have August as the new arrival date. If I had not called I would not have been aware of the delay again. Leon's has been holding onto my money and will not deliver the goods in the time they told me.... Or at all. He has helped to straighten out a couple of problems that occurred along the way in a very efficient & more than satisfactory manner. He is very diplomatic & professional. Throughout COVID-19 protocols & extended trucking/supply delays, he has maneuvered things to the best of his ability in an attempt to provide the best service possible in spite of the hurdles. Terrible service. Bought a new dresser to use as my baby change table and the website said it would be ready for collection within 1 week. After paying the money, I get a call to say the dresser will be ready for collection hopefully in 4 weeks !!! Baby is due in 3 weeks, so I canceled and asked for my money back. I am told the money will be back in my account in 5 business days !! So now my credit card is maxed until it is refunded, so I cannot even get another until then !! Decent prices they had the only chair with the dimensions and style I was looking for but they're computer system seems finicky. Trying to enter my address didn't seem to work in their system? Weird and then I have to wait two more days to pickup because they just have weekly deliveries from their warehouse to the store?? After a few days I was able to pick up my order and loaded them into my SUV. At first I wasn't sure if it would fit because it's not a big car. But they came dissembled in a box with screws and tools to put it together. They do look lovely after I had to reassemble them Ikea style. Still a very good price for what I got. The customer service to purchase our kitchen stools was very good but when we tried to claim our rebate for price reduction everything went wrong. They have a policy that if you see the exact same item at a lower price within 3 months that you can ask to have your price adjusted. The salesperson even told us to look out for Black Friday which was coming up. So we did and made the request. Nothing happened. Two months later we called to see what was up and they had NO record of our request. So we put in another request, this time based on the Boxing Day sales. 6 weeks later, no action. So, I called and again NO record of our request. What happens here? Finally 4 months later we received the refund. They really don't seem to care about customer service. read more

Quite possibly the worst experience ever, and will never go back. The delivery drivers dropped the boxes more than 6 feet, inches in front of me, and when saying I wanted to inspect for the very obvious damage, they started yelling at me (literally yelling) saying I was lying and they never dropped it and the damage was always there, and that's how the product comes (yes I can't even tell you how silly that sounds). They then bolted out of the house within 90 seconds of that, not even bothering to get my signature for delivery. They refused to take the old mattress which they were supposed to, I had to find a place to keep it for 2 days while they figured out the pick-up, had to stay in a hotel, they did not pay for this mistake either. They promised a refund on the price difference when I bought the product in Mid-November and it went on sale at the end of November 2020. The refund was $1000. After following up more than a dozen times I finally got it on February 1st 202. Throughout the whole process, I was promised calls back from the manager who would deal with the situation, who never did call and I had to keep chasing them. I found out later that the delivery drivers forged my signature for the delivery - this is still an outstanding issue with them for this criminal act. This is the short version, there were a dozen other things that happened and despite constant follow-ups and promises to hear back from the managers for the situation I never have, so I've decided I will keep sharing posts about this experience until I do. read more

I wish I read the bad reviews of Leon's before spending $1000 here. The reviews are accurate. These people are are not to be trusted. The sales woman "Gureen" or "Gurpreet K" promised the air conditioner I ordered would be delivered within a few weeks from the date of purchase at most. That was several weeks ago. Today I've been informed the delivery will be postponed by an additional month or more. So potentially I could be without an AC for the entire summer due to the false guarantees I received at Leon's. read more

The customer service at this Leon's location is fantastic! We got a really comfortable leather recliner, but sadly the reclining mechanism wasn't working. The store sent for a repair team, who determined some parts to order. Since the order time for the parts was well over a few months, Leon's just exchanged the sofa. With some more bad luck, the replacement sofa had a similar issue with the reclining mechanism. Leon's offered to replace the sofa. Third time's the charm, we finally have the couch we wanted, with the reclining mechanism working as it should! Throughout the whole ordeal, we had fantastic communication from this Leon's store. They called me regularly to provide updates, and did everything they could to give us a working couch! read more

I ordered a grey couch there on September 18th from VICKY. I waited 3 weeks. I called there and she had put the wrong colour of couch (java) in. I specifically said i wanted the grey one because i did not want to wait til november to receive it. Vicky told me that we would have the grey one in ONE month. Now 3 weeks later i have to now wait another 3 weeks. I spent 1300$ there and they are ONLY refunding me a deliver fee of 90$. I am about ready to cancel my order. We will never shop there again. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM LEON'S....We purchased furniture from Leon's Richmond, B.C. store and the sales person recommended to apply for a Flexity card. We took his advice and got the Flexity card and bought furniture for the payment due after 90 days. However, after paying everything in full before the 90 days. We were told that the payment has been cleared and nothing owing. After few months, we received a statement from Flexity stating that they received the payment late and requesting us to pay $59.99. I objected but to no luck. I contacted the Offices in Richmond, B.C. and Coquitlam, B.C. stores (payments were made at these two locations. According to the Richmond Leon's the payments were posted to the wrong account and Flexity never received the money. Now Richmond Leon's said that Flexity requires us to get the bank letter and few other financial documents and send it to Flexity. I am trying to solve this problem but getting no response and no luck. The staff and the manager (Chetna) are useless......... read more

If I could give zero star rating I would. I orderd furniture online in September and the delivery was in February. Everything but one item was delivered. The final item is said to be coming in May. The chest of drawers was delivered already assembled and it had a broken piece that makes it unusable. I requested new and or refund. Still waiting. Back and forth emails seems the left doesn't talk to the right. Also need to return a brand new box spring and I received confirmation that the item can be returned. I have waited and yet nothing. Then call comes in that the chest can be picked up, no mention of the boxspring. Apparently nothing in the computer about it. Absolute waste of time and money. Leon's delivered a wall unit and they were supposed to unpack it and take the packing, styrofoam and boxes with them. They just dropped the shipment on the living room floor and left. I assembled the unit and took all the boxes, styrofoam to the dump. That was not our agreement......if you shop here and I would be cautious in doing that get everything in writing and don't trust a word they tell you they are going to do. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE WITH LEONS ONLINE/RICHMOND BC. I ordered on April 29, 2020, the Holland Dining Table. It was not in stock in BC, so had to wait until May 22 for delivery. It was delayed, finally delivered May 26. Once it was assembled, we quickly realized the table was defective - it does not extend, the 3rd leaflet would not fit into the table. LEONS sold us a defective product. It took me many calls with the Richmond store, as they didn't respond to my voice msg's, so I had to keep calling. We had to wait 2 weeks until a technician can confirm it's defective, before they would give a refund. Finally the technician came, confirmed it's defective, waited another week for the table to be picked up. Again many phone calls later, I was told the $ amount would be refunded in 3-5 days. That was June 16, it is now June 28 and I am still waiting for a refund. On the phone, the staff are nice enough, spoke to multiple staff multiple times (Stewart, Nancy, Fran, Ashleen), but they don't follow through, they are just so ineffective, they said they would "check" and "expedite the refund", then nothing got done... They said the online store is responsible for the refund.... LEONS SOLD A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, I'M STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND 2 MONTHS LATER. read more

I walked into the store in Guelph Ontario back in April looking for a quote for my new construction home in progress, the sales man came very gently and introduced himself as Jaweed, he wasn't forceful so i felt comfortable with him. he helped me with all the quote and measurement needed for my builder and when I was ready to make the decision 7 mths later, I didn't remember his name, i went back to the store 2x until i was able to find him. i bought all my appliances and mattress, he educated me a lot on what to chose etc. I have never been so impressed with a sales person ever before, I have been shopping at Leon's for years with my family, this is the first time i can say i am truly blessed to have a sales person like Jaweed Aziz, even after the sales, he kept me informed with the availability and with delivery process, he invited me back to the store b4 the delivery and he showed me how to operate the new appliances which i hate reading the instructions, he also gave me a free plastic to cover my old mattresses. I will recommend this guy to anyone who appreciates an A1 customer service! read more

They would have kept 2 stars but on their website they removed my review and kept the stars, wish I never even bothered reviewing the item on their website. They only received 2 stars because the look of the headboard was alright. Called Leon's to inquire if the colour of the buttons on the Sunset queen charcoal headboard were lighter as shown in the online photo. Sales woman said, "No they are the same colour as the headboard". Well of course when I went into the store, the buttons are lighter than the headboard. I considered the grey, but unfortunately the dimensions online state Width: 64'' Height: 28'' Depth: 4'' (copied directly from their website) but the true dimensions once measured by the sales woman and I are W 61.5" x 23" H (not including legs) x 2.5" D. The headboard itself is only 23"H, at it's tallest height with legs, a gap would show between the bottom of the headboard and the mattress. I recently ordered a sofa from www.leons.ca. I did the guest checkout which required an email address, but I did not receive an email order confirmation or invoice. At the time of the purchase, there was no customer support phone number listed anywhere on the website. So I had no choice but to call my nearest store, the Richmond BC store. The person who answered the phone was super helpful, returning all my calls promptly and personally emailed me an invoice for my purchase. A few days later, due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my order. Again I called the Richmond store and again their customer service was spectacular. Even though my order had passed the cancellation deadline, they listened to my situation and helped me cancel my order. Despite their website's shortcomings (missing customer support phone number and no order confirmation email), I am very impressed by the service I received with my experience with Leon's. When the time comes and I can order my sofa again, or any other furniture, I will definitely consider Leon's. read more
