I called to set an appointment and the owner/president, Leon Clayberger, came out to my house the next day to explain in detail everything involved with installing a tankless water heater. The brand they recommend is Rinnai. Leon was very detailed and thorough in his presentation to me and guaranteed the quoted price. He would not even take a down payment!! That is how confident he was in his product. We then proceeded downstairs to my basement so that I could show him where my current water heater is and where I would like my new tankless water heater to go. My current water heater took up a lot of space in the small closet that it was in, which was an unusual position for it to be placed. It was put there when the house was built, so I really had no choice in the matter. I wanted the new tankless water heater to be placed in a hidden corner of my basement, which is exactly where Leon said it would have to go!! Worked out perfectly. We set up a date for the following week to have the unit installed. Come installation day, Leon and his crew arrived a bit early, which was fine by me. I was impressed to see that the owner/president came with his crew to oversee the entire installation process. He informed me that he went out on every job his company did. This to me is the mark of an owner who truly cares about his customers. It took about four (4) hours to install the tankless water heater. The entire crew was courteous and neat. They also removed my old water heater free of charge!! The little closet where it was located is now a usable storage spot!! After the installation was over, the crew cleaned up everything very nicely and Leon took the time to explain to me how to maintain it and what to check for. The tankless water heater works like a charm!! You never run out of hot water and you do not have to constantly adjust the temperature during a shower when your hot water is getting low. Yes, it does take just a few more seconds for the water to heat up, but that is inherent with all tankless water heaters. Also, I cannot hear a thing when I turn on my faucet or shower. I have read where some tankless water heaters make quite a bit of noise when in operation, but this one is very quiet. Overall, I could not be happier with the entire process. Also, there is a twenty (20) year guarantee with the tankless water heater!! Now that is impressive. Noel Enterprises' reputation and good reviews are well deserved. I plan on using them whenever I need service.

BUYER BEWARE -- Heat went out in the middle of the night, and I could not get my regular HVAC guy…read more Called M&T Mechanical in the morning (8am) and they agreed to come and look at the problem which I believed to be a clogged fuel line. They arrived as indicated and looked at the oil furnace and ended saying that I had a "blown" motor. They'd be back after getting one from Ace Hardware. Got everything working again, which was good. When I got the bill ($700), I was more than surprised at the expense. Later, I checked the Ace Hardware website (and at the store ) which said the motor (Beckett 21805) was listed at $124.99 (Home Depot has it for @$87). I was willing to pay more for the emergency call but to get almost a 300% markup on the motor ($125 marked up to $350) and an oil filter (marked up to $100) is GOUGING. Normal industry rate is 50% markup. So, the long and short of it is: BUYER BEWARE when it comes to M&T Mechanical. You will DEFINITELY pay more than fair market and more likely be scammed by a company that's more interested in a big payoff that will cost consumers. Again, BUYER BEWARE when it comes to M&T Mechanical--it will work but will leave a hole in your pocket and bad taste in your mouth. If desperate for service, call elsewhere.

He knows geothermal inside and out and he saved me from getting muscled by another company that didn't know how to work on geothermal but claimed they did, and bottom line didn't really care about trying to fix it. They just wanted to sell me a new furnace. John, said he would come and take a look to see if he could do anything. Do anything???? He literally fixed it in less than 10 minutes!! His experience and knowledge was impressive to say the least. My unit is fixed, and yes I'm going to need a new one soon. And I'll be going to John to do it. Good honest man who does an amazing job, doesn't want to price gouge you or pressure you, when you are already stressed at having no heat in your home. I now have peace of mind, till I'm ready and able to replace.

I contacted John from JBN Mechanical and he came around the next day. He identified what he thought was the problem and came back the next day. The new part didn't fix the problem, and things were looking grim. But John went looking again and found a wire that had either been chewed by a mouse or scraped up against the unit's casing. He fixed this and recharged the system and everything is working very well. And I didn't have to buy a whole new system!! John was professional and very courteous and I would trust him to do an honest job for you, if you need HVAC solutions. I have no problem giving a 5-star review.

Several months later we needed two flush mount ceiling fixtures switched that were in the wrong places...not J&N's fault....they had to follow Berks instructions. We also had purchased a ceiling fan that needed to be hung. We told them no rush, just when they were in the neighborhood again. When J&N came (not Nick) they sent 3 people to do the job. All three were very nice. Actually there was 1 tech and 2 that were introduced as being in training, which was true as I observed. They noticed that we did not have a surge protector at our electric box. They wanted to me authorize them to put a surge protector on the electric box for $1300 since they were already in my home that day. I said I did not know enough to authorize them to do that. THE TECH AND 2 TRAINEES WERE HERE LESS THAN 1 HOUR. THE CHARGE WAS $750. THANKFULLY THEY GAVE US A COUPON FOR $50 OFF THEIR SERVICE. WE WERE CHARGED $275 TO ASSEMBLE AND INSTALL THE CEILING FAN AND FAN BOX AND FOR THEM TO CHECK THE SWITCH AND WIRING BEHIND THE SWITCH. THEY HAD JUST WIRING SEVERAL MONTHS PRIOR. THEY CHARGED US $475 TO SWITCH THE LOCATIONS OF TWO FLUSH MOUNT LIGHT FIXTURES. Within 30 minutes after they left Jeremie (co-owner) called trying to sell me a generator for our home. After speaking with other folks in the neighborhood that used other companies, I am sorry, I can't justify using J&N. For a homeowner to pay $750 an hour for 1 tech to be training 2 new employees is outrageous.
