This beautiful wine shop, nestled right in the cave of the rock, is a curious and inviting store that is a joy to shop in. Being in a cave, it seems naturally cool inside to protect the wine, and has a terrific atmosphere. The selection is large and interesting, and besides wines from Provence, the Var, the Vaucluse, there are wines from all over. The young proprietor was helpful but also hands-off, he gave me time and space to look at the wonderful bottles on offer. Only later did I discover that he spoke English fluently, on account of living in the SF Bay Area for a few years. I walked away with a bottle of Château Simone red, at the same price as other wine shops sell it for, and he gave me helpful advice about serving and decanting this young wine.
