I really liked that the menu indicated that they sourced some of the ingredients from local farms, butchers etc. The serving size of the main meals was large and for those who can't fit it all in, they will pack it up for you to take home. Finally it was nice to finish the night off with a tea. The drinks menu is extensive, they served coffees and had a range of "T2" teas available. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a causal but nice dining experience.

Luckily they found a table for us and we sat down to browse the menu. There's a pretty huge selection to choose from. I picked an Asian wok noodle dish, and my husband decided on a pulled pork pizza. Both meals were pretty good (I'd give them 3 stars each) and very filling. With drinks our order totaled to about $55 AUD which is considered pretty affordable/average here. The vibe in the restaurant was lively and family-friendly. As we got set to leave, there was even live music starting. Not sure what else is in the area, but as far as food goes, Spotted Dog Tavern is a decent choice for dinner if you're passing through.

Breakfast seems a particular favourite among the locals. I had the scrambled eggs with chives, double smoked bacon and roasted vine tomatoes with 2 of the biggest slices of toast I had ever seen. They offer a surprisingly sophisticated menu which had my mouth watering and me wanting to try everything on offer. They also make their own cakes and Macarons. I can't wait to go back and sample more of their delicious food. Btw they also source their ingredients locally or as close as possible, so that in turn helps the whole community.
