Les Salons Hoche - Inside the bridal party suites where we got ready. There was a ton of space for bride, groom, and a wedding party of 18!

My wife and I got married at Les Salons Hoche in October 2019. We selected the venue without having…read morevisited in person, and instead relied on photos/reviews and the help of our main contact, Guiliana. The venue was absolutely beautiful. We had the Haussman apartments for the bridal parties to get ready hours before the ceremony which were large and well decorated, perfect for pictures. Our first look took place in a beautiful Parisian courtyard with our bridal party looking on from balconies above us. Les Salons Hoche provided us with a 1950's Rolls Royce and a driver to take us around Paris for photos (Bir-Hakeim overlooking the Eiffel Tower, and a side road with the Arc de Triomphe in the background). When we returned, our wedding took place on the rooftop, enclosed in glass and beautifully decorated. After the ceremony, we moved downstairs to another room for the cocktail hour with extra space in the courtyard. The reception took place in a beautiful, marble-floored room called Etoile. Every little detail, whether we discussed it or not, was perfectly done. They host a lot of events there, so when you visit before the wedding (we were there 4 days before ours) there is lots of work going on. On the day of the wedding though, the location is completely transformed with tasteful details (white curtains, flowers, candles, etc.). The food was amazing. We upgraded our food package (to "Prestige") and it exceeded expectations. Our guests, who mainly come from New York City and attend lots of weddings, raved about the quality/flavor/abundance of food during cocktail hour and during dinner. For dinner, we had the salad with lobster and mango (excellent), Beef Tenderloin (very well cooked unlike most wedding food), and Assortment of Cheeses (you're in France, of course, this is good :) ) , and the Cake (American style with strawberry inside - this was a huge hit with our guests). This was all made possible because of the hard work and excellent communication of Guiliana. She was amazing to work with and spent hours with us discussing the venue, food, timing, and all the small details. We worked with her across multiple time zones (9 hour time difference) and she always made herself available to work with us. Wedding planning can be stressful, especially from afar, but Guiliana made this an enjoyable experience for us. The true test of the success of a wedding comes after it's all over. When I asked my wife "what would you change about the wedding day", her response was "not a single thing",

Perfectly located just blocks away from Champs-Élysées and next to several chic hotels, the space is a fabulous. The décor is classically Parisian chic with polished marble and glittering chandeliers. But what really sets it apart is the food and the service. It's a family-run business and you can really tell they're on top of things. I can still remember the steak with foie gras and the lemon tart...to die for!! All the waiting staff was super professional and warm--definitely different than the rest of Paris. Hopefully I'll get invited back to some other celebration!

You receive a mobile ticket which ensures no loss of paper - and with their free wifi inside the museum, it's easy to produce your entry pass The museum itself is lovely in setup an very easy to get around - nice signage and the rooms are very easy to maneuver And their cafe is awesome - lattes are strong and evenly balanced and their croissants are on par with my alltime favorites, Eric Kayser. They were tender, flaky and fresh as could be - do not pass up the cafe!! The exhibit was interesting in that it did not really showcase works by Picasso but of the variety of artists who were influenced by Picasso. Interesting indeed Would look very forward to another exhibit during our next visit in the City of Lights

It's stunning, though you'll soon realize that the part you most wanted to see - the glass enclosed space - might not be open to you. Visiting in May, the glass-domed space was locked tight, opened only for special shows and events. I've looked at the calendar now, in June, and see that they open it for many summer activities and were I there now I'd certainly try to get tickets for one of those events. Otherwise? This is still a worthy investment of time, not just to look around and peer into the glass-domed space, but to view the exhibits (individually priced, tickets available at the door). I noticed 3 special exhibits during my visit and paid for entry to 2 (Matisse and Nan Golden). Based on this experience, I'd recommend paying for entry to the exhibits of artists you're least familiar with under the assumption that they'll be less crowded. The Matissse exhibit was crowded enough to render the experience almost unpleasant. The Nan Golden show? Perfect. Though I'd recommend paying to see some exhibits, even if all you do is enter to walk around and explore the space you'll be nicely rewarded. The Grand Palais has some pleasant, quiet seating areas inside and the space is lovely.

Heated mirror in the restroom and the HVAC was good. Comfortable bed. Service was friendly - excellent welcome by Floridita (I may have her name wrong) but she gave us a tour of the important areas of the hotel when we arrived and consistently greeted us every day when she saw us. Maid service and turn down services were also friendly as were the bellmen. Only negatives: our room faced the direction of the Louvre and on Friday night there were street performers singing until close to 1am. Wasn't a problem on the other nights. Also, Brasserie du Louvre, the fancy restaurant in the hotel, was a disappointment. Overall though we would stay there again next trip.

Our bedroom was spacious, the bed nice and perfectly made, the bathroom was also beautifully decorated, and comfortable with good products. We stayed a week, the room rates are steep, but for the lovely rooms, amenities and location it receives 3 full marks, the 4th star was the service team at L'officine that single-handedly made me reconsider and ultimately saved them from a lower " grade ". We had an unfortunate incident with the concierge service, whose staff member was not interested in giving us specific instructions. They were dismissive of my husband (who doesn't speak French) when he asked for directions to the bank for foreign exchange. I had to return to the hotel and speak to her directly in French to get results. We were, for the most part, impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the staff at their bar, as I mentioned above they were the reason I found all their front of the house redeeming qualities I'm not sure if I will stay here or try a different hotel- jury is out. For certain, I'll go back to their lovely bar.
