There's a few blocks of cafes and shops in this neighborhood and I discovered them days before realizing that Saint-Roch, with its onslaught of cafes and shops, was down the same road only a short walk away. Regardless, this seemed like a place the hip young locals love and I could get behind what they were offering. A wide array of craft beer was offered and though I'm generally not much of a beer fan, I really got into the one I chose: Blanche au Citron Meyer et aux Poivres (aka #Patelle, 4.8% alcohol). I don't know French but correctly deduced that this beer contained Meyer Lemon and on a humid, hot afternoon that was enough to sell me. IPAs also received high marks. My boyfriend literally said, "if I wanted to eat a burnt burger from Costco, I could have done it at home".
