I went in to get my winter tires changed out for summer tires. After they're finished they call me…read moreback to show me they somehow managed to rip out the side of one of my tires and it was completely ruined. So I have them order a new tire, and they put the snow tire back on for that wheel. I wound up with a slow leak in a different tire. A week later I go in to get my new tire put on, and the slow leak fixed, turns out the slow leak was a damaged tire from last time. Ripped the same exact way the second time they took it off. They didn't break one, but *two* of my summer tires. I had to get ANOTHER tire through them and have another visit scheduled. I don't think it was intentional, just really sloppy work. Somebody I knew took a look at the tires and said they didn't use any lubricant when putting the tires on, and that's how they ripped. I will never be going back here, l spent way too much money on their mistakes.

(car came from Hawaii 3 yrs ago) Then the big issue: Russel, Lightning Lube owner said both CV axles were damaged and it was dangerous to drive car or use 4 wheel drive. I had a trip to Seattle scheduled next dau so said fix the axles. Raymond had a hell of a time working till 8:30 PM Sat when he was foiled by a brake line. Went home, and then I remembered LES SCHWAB did all 4 new brakes, calipers, rotors on 10/23/24 costing $2224. Raymond showed me there were not 4 new calipers on the car and we realized perhaps Les Schwab mechanic caused problem. The RF caliper was rusted, old one. The brake line had been misthreaded. I googled " CV axle damaged by brake job and it said that it is a big possibility. I requested the Les Schwab manager come to Lighting Lube and view the brake job, He agreed to pay Lightning Lube to fix the brake job right and said he would bring over a new Caliper for RF. While I was at the Lightening shop another customer had his truck in the shop due to Les Schwab not fixing his truck right! The Les Schwab Manager also agreed to pay for his work to get it done right. If it hadn't been for the great mechanic at Lightning Lube I could have had a huge problem going over the pass with damaged cv axles. The one axle was so bad the boot was torn completely and filled with mud and rocks and fell apart when mechanic removed it. Russel had a loaner car for me. The crew at Lightening Lube is awesome, caring, skilled and efficient. I highly recommend them. (Here's a picture of the 'NEW' caliper Les Shwab charged me for in October 20245. Does this look NEW)

The young man checking me in had me sign a waiver so I could have the 2 tires I bought( from walmart) installed in the front. But after 2.5 hours of waiting they came back and told me they couldn't install only 2 tires on my truck cause it is 4x4. I don't understand why,but ok, that's their policy. But they could have told me that right away, not after I had been sitting and waiting for 2.5 hours!!! They need to have that on their app and have their employees trained better. I learned a lesson today. No more walmart for car service!!!

When I told him just an oil and filter change he asked if I had an appointment. When I said no, he requested I drive around to an empty service lane where he would take my info. I could tell he was motivated to work so I just drove off. Sorry but I'm used to 15 minute drive up oil changes where they rotate you tires and check battery, differential, and filters. Next shop was booked 2 weeks out and the Rapid Lube had no cars but a call suggested they could maybe get to it on a few hours! So much for rapid. I ended up finding Blackstone and they were awesome! By far the worst experience I have had with an auto repair shop…read more What it has going for it: - decent location - nothing else What it has going against it: - lazy staff - dirty customer areas - no customer service skills So I went in to this shop because I was had leak coming from my truck. Was looking to have someone to quickly look at it to see if it was safe to continue to get home. First guy I talked to, I explained what was going.... he just sat there and stared at me and finally said he handled electrical work.... said to check one of the other bays and ask the mechanic. Finally found the mechanic who was sitting there drinking something. Had a look on his face that I was bothering him. I explained the situation and he tells me "I have a bad back and I'm not bending over to check" and went back to drinking.... so with a bad back how is he a mechanic? Even it was so.... what was with the I can careless if you have an issue, your disturbing my drinking. So fast forward, I brought my truck across the street to Dyke's.... totally different experience. Owner was nice, took the 2 minutes to look at the leak and said we were fine. Noticed that the tire on our trailer was running really low and changed the spare for us.... in the end he only wanted $10. Avoid this other place like the plague.... based on how nasty they keep the place, I can only guess they don't do the greatest work either.
