It was cold and rainy during my visit to Vieux Lyon and I needed a place to warm up for a minute…read more I was in the area on a Sunday, when apparently most people in France are in hibernation; it was a mild inconvenience not having access to Uber drivers, but overall it was quite nice to not be battling tourists in the street or at restaurants!
Anyways, diverging from my typically purposeful pre-selected restaurant visits, I stopped by Le Francois Villon for a drink and snack. I'm so glad I did! The restaurant was cute and cozy, a perfect place to shelter from the rain.

Friendly service, great bread, good times. Definitely recommended!
