I want to give this shop 5 stars but we were followed throughout the entire store which made us super uncomfortable. Everything was super cool to look at but having someone constantly staring at us made us both ready to leave. I fell in love with a dress that I wanted as a wedding dress but we weren't allowed to take photos. I'll probably be back next year but the experience was unsettling. read more

While wandering through Old Quebec we decided to stop in at this boutique selling a variety of Medieval attire and accessories. This shop has a very strict no photos rule which I can understand, but what was frustrating for us as customers was the fact that we were followed throughout the store by an employee who continuously asked us questions as we looked at their merchandise. We thought about purchasing a few different handmade journals, but after being followed we walked out empty handed. Moral of the story, this shop had a great selection of merchandise (which is reasonably priced), but the customer service killed it for us here. read more

My husband and I were leisurely exploring Quebec City on our honeymoon and this storefront immediately caught our eye with its medieval-styled clothing, weaponry, and armor. We thought that we would pop in and be out of the door quite quickly, but we enjoyed examining all of the store's wares and spent some time walking through. The clothing in the store is handmade and I found some beautiful garments. One of the women who worked in the store, Virginia, was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. We chatted with her quite a bit and left with a wonderful restaurant recommendation. Overall, I think we were surprised at how much fun we would have in this store and how friendly and warm the staff are. I highly recommend a visit and will be back the next time we're in Old Quebec! read more

Very cool store with a vast array of Medieval inspired items. They have figurines, clothing, weapons, jewelry, tapestries - just a huge variety. It's a great store to browse, and obviously the place to go if you're looking for harder to find items like authentic Medieval clothing. When I visited they had a really unique display of elves. The woman working was kind enough to explain and really sold me on the product. Whenever I go away I always try to buy one unique and/or weird item and these elves were perfect. They're handmade wooden elves imported from Spain and each brings a different kind of good luck. They had a really big selection and she knew all about the product which I appreciated. I also loved her explanation of their various tapestries and pillow cases. A bit out of my price range but nice quality and really interesting themes represented on the various pieces. Prices aren't cheap but I do believe everything is very high quality. I recommend stopping in if for no other reason than to browse and be entertained by the displays. read more

This store is a gem. They have a variety of masks, detailed swords/rapiers, pistols, tapestries, beautifully crafted chess sets, and elegant clothing. At the back wall, there is an impressive display of various well known swords, including the movie replicas of Aragorn's sword and Legolas' knives! They also have a large collection of clothing which we were told are handmade in Quebec. The materials are high quality and definitely not like your typical costume store, so the higher prices are understandable. Absolutely recommend visiting this place if you're ever in the vicinity. read more

My friends and I visited this store on a field trip to Quebec, and man we wish we could find more stores like these. I'm no medieval expert, but the clothing there have elaborate detailing that made the shirts and dresses have a classic touch to them. If we weren't wearing too many layers of clothing for the below zero weather and we didn't have a time limit, I'm sure my friends and i would have tried some pieces on. (Possibly have set sights for prom dresses?) There was also an impressive display of swords, chess sets, and just wonderful decorations. The only thing I'm going to call out on them were the fake Japanese books that you can find on the left side of the store once you walk in and are standing by the checkout counter. Why? The world may never know. The cashier was nice to let us know that as students we had a 10% discount-didn't even have to show ID once they asked if we were on a school trip. (Must have been our English, or poor French. Oops.) They also told us both times were there. Yup, we went twice because the first time we just had to take everything in. When we were told in our trip we were allowed to explore the same place, we all knew we had to go back. I bought a ring there, along with 2 of my friends. Mine was the cheapest you could buy -$18. My friends took the other rings, which were around $30. So when the Yelp page says it's expensive, it is. The ring is at least twice as much as you would pay for at Forever 21, but considering how much I love the design on my ring and there are no signs of tarnishing even after a week, it's worth it. The shirt I had my eye on that was for $60? Maybe not so much. The employees there do kinda trail behind you, but it makes sense why they would. You're around pretty expensive wares, some of them possibly dangerous too. (I had a friend who bought a knife for her father there. Decorative of course, but still possibly lethal.) All the employees there spoke English (thank goodness) and were really helpful. Even told us stories about the rings! Definitely worth a look around guys. read more

Staff were friendly and helpful. No problems with English. Clothing is not cheap, but is made in Canada (at least the blouse I bought is labelled Made in Canada) and isn't the standard, mass-produced stuff you'll find everywhere. There is a wonderful variety of clothing, masks, swords/daggers, jewelry. Worth a few minutes to look around. I'll go back next time we are there, and hope to buy more. I wish they had a website so that I could order online. read more
