HIS OFFICE STAFF IS DOING THIS ON PURPOSE BECAUSE I LEFT AND TRIED TO TELL HIM HOW BAD SOME OF HIS STAFF IS. They were super rude about the whole thing. I asked that if they want to be payed anything from me, have the Dr. Call me himself. I guarantee they never gave him the message. Dr. Abella really is a good doctor. I would not have gone to him for almost half my life if he wasn't. But some of his nurses and staff are unbelievably terrible people. I so wish he could see this as I think he, himself is a great Doctor and an even nicer person. I will NEVER ,EVER PAY THIS BILL, I DONT CARE WHAT THE COST. ITS NOT THE MONEY, ITS $45.00 FOR GOD SAKES, BUT I WILL NEVER STAND FOR SOME MAD LACKEY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ME BRCAUSE IM NOW OLD , SICK AND TERMINALLY ILL. I've seen over 5 doctors in the last 5 years to discuss my fatigue and pain only to be told it was nothing. Dr B has listened to my concerns and orders lab work regularly. Thankfully he is in network with health insurance plan. I've stuck with him longer than I've stuck with any doctor before. He listens to my symptoms more than the labwork and is willing to hear me out and work together. I am also regularly meeting with the Nutritionist, Karla, in his office who is fantastic. They understand that healing your body isn't only about the medication. It is about eating right for your body and health issues. I am taking quite a few supplements that they recommend for me specifically, but none have they pushed me to purchase from them. I buy them directly on Amazon and on Vitacost to save money. So please don't feel that they are prescribing supplements to make money on that - because I've been a patient for about 7 months now and have yet to buy anything from them. And the thyroid medication costs me $10 per month (and insurance doesn't pay anything on that) - that is really the cost of Armour Thyroid. He is a quality doctor who LISTENS to you and TOGETHER we put together a plan.

Dr. Robert Sargis is that combo. The real-life McDreamy/McSteamy that everyone wants. Dr. Sargis is not my doctor, he is my dad's doctor. I found him after my dad started exhibiting some of the ill-effects of Type-2 diabetes, and we could not get adequate assistance from his primary care physician. I took my dad's health into my own hands and sought a specialist, an endocrinologist who could give dad a full work-up, and proper assessment and follow up. We hit the jackpot with Dr. Sargis. First, the Kovler Diabetes Center at University of Chicago is second-to-none. The level of skill and care for diabetics in all stages of the disease is exemplary at Kovler. But Dr. Sargis is special. There was a time last year when I thought we were going to lose my dad -- Dr. Sargis' skill and care is definitely a *huge* part of what helped get dad back on track and, indeed, to be thriving today. Once, at the office of my dad's primary care physician at a medical center I won't name (yet), we waited 4 hours to see his doctor. Just like we were at a free clinic. Four hours. Despite Dr. Sargis' heavy case load (it took awhile to get the first appointment), he sees dad at the EXACT time of his appointment. He doesn't rush. He asks thoughtful questions. His analysis of bloodwork and creating a specialized plan for his patients that includes not only medication but also diet & exercise is some of the best I've seen in all the years I've been helping my dad with his condition. Dad's primary care physician was reluctant to switch his meds or try a different combination of his meds even after he was exhibiting some of the worst side effects from them. Dr. Sargis recommended a different combination of meds and it has exponentially improved the quality of my dad's life. He follows up promptly with suggestions and to find out how dad is doing, and gives dad the tools to empower himself as much as he can. You really cannot ask for much more from a specialist. He's a pro who goes above and beyond. I've learned a lot from watching dad's condition and I certainly hope that I can avoid T2 diabetes altogether (gotta lay off those cupcakes!) But in the unlikely event I have to deal with it one day, I would not hesitate to utilize Dr. Sargis. Cannot recommend him highly enough to anybody who is diabetic and seeking detailed, specialized and innovative care.

My first day to see Dr. Jones was on Thursday, his staff got me in when I asked. He had openings well before the day I requested and they went through each thoroughly on the phone with me ever before meeting me. They never rushed me off of the phone and never was I told I would see someone else instead of the good doc himself. Upon arrival I pulled into the parking lot, which was a little hard to find if you aren't from this area. Sad thing is you all well know I'm a transplant, but I've been here for about 7 years. (Shame shame) the second time was a breeze. Which was today and I'll talk about that later. I walked into the facility expecting the absolute longest wait time in the world because there was a few people in the front. To my surprise, things flowed as smooth as butter on a fat juicy steak seared to perfection! Mmm mmm. Everyone was all smiles and they weren't fake in the slightest! These were genuine. Soothing and refreshing as southern sweet tea! I'm liking this doctor even before I met him. From the receptionist, to the secretary, the M.A.s, the nurses, medical student/resident, then oh my goodness!!! The doctor. As fine as a gently aged wine. Perfection at its best. Served up strait. This guy! I admire already. I fell to a million pieces with the first handshake. Baffled! You all don't understand the absolute importance of not only having a great doctor, but to have his whole staff to be knowledgeable and kind at the same time. This is truly a unicorn in the medical profession. It shouldn't be, but it is. And to actually see one in person and to be a patient here it's made me feel 10 times better by just being abled to know, I'm SAFE. The good doc has no idea. But I plan to have my family to transfer to his and his staffs care. I hope they are as happy to receive us as I was to receive them. A small overview of services. I went in first time visit and was seen within 10 minutes of walking through the door. Let me explain "seen". I was walked back by the M.A. Weight, vitals, previous surgeries, medications. The doctor and medical student/resident (please forgive me if this title is wrong) I felt dreadful that day which is why I didn't write it then. If I had it would have been 5 stars and the explanation would have just been a smiley face. Anyway they came in introducing the doctor and she stayed. She was very kind and professional and very thorough. We chatted it up and then came the doc. By the time he got to me I was feeling really horrible. But he and his staff assured me and made the most of the time I was in there. For a first time visit, it was a lengthy one, but if you are ever rushed through a first time visit with a doctor, please be very weary or their practices. Most of us who care about practicing in years to come DONT rush. He told me I would need to have labs drawn and I could come back next week or even on SATURDAY, yes I said the forbidden word, SATURDAY. They do labs in the clinic. And the nurse was soooooo kind. I really liked her. And I didn't even feel the "pinch". :) Now you may understand why I compared his facility and services to a fine steak dinner. Have you had a steak dinner that was presented very beautifully and it turned out to taste like nothing and it was tough and chewy. And the wine was bitter and wasn't even good enough to stain a white carpet. Well I have. And that's the same thing you get with a lot of CORPORATE doctors. I didn't say all! But I've found a hidden gem right here in town and I'm proud to say I'm his patient!
