My first time was the repositioning cruise from San Juan to Cape Liberty, the second was to Bar Harbor & Halifax, and this time I went to Bermuda. Accommodations: The rooms are older because the ship dates back to 2001. The inside rooms are small, the balcony rooms aren't all that much bigger. I really enjoyed that first cruise because there was so much to do, but since the pandemic, there's been a lot less to enjoy on board. This most recent trip featured family karaoke, a truly awful comedian, a music show called "Don't Stop the Rock" and movies on deck. The biggest problem is that they recycle older entertainment so that nothing ever changes. I think the newest song I heard on board was Uptown Funk, which is 8 years old. They still heavily market the 70s with 70s music, a 70s dance party and 70s dress up night. Meh. Food: In 2018 we ate in a couple of the specialty restaurants but I haven't since then. On this most recent trip we stuck with the main dining room. Food was hit or miss. They have a good selection each night but food was better in the past. I am not sure if they're buying cheaper cuts of meat or if they're having trouble getting stuff. This week I had some good prime rib, lamb loin chops and various soups. Other items weren't as good, but all in all it was ok. They offered brunch on our fist sea day and I ordered Eggs Benedict, something that's always been good on board, but this time it was terrible. The English muffins were old and hard, the meat didn't resemble Canadian bacon, and it was awful. The pool area is nice, the bars are good, they solarium is good except that the chair hogs never take their crap off of the chairs. The Love & Marriage game show is always a hoot. The AotS orchestra is good, and the Latin band is excellent. I'm glad they are transferring the ship to Galveston and bringing Liberty of the Seas back to Bayonne. Liberty is a little bigger and I prefer it. Service, no matter where we were, was excellent. Our cabin steward was fantastic, our waiter and assistant waiter were great, and we always had good bar service. For a first time cruiser it's not as overwhelming as the megaships, so give it a try. You can get great deals.

The security team was quick and polite, and as for the consular staff upstairs, we got the documents we needed in about 30 minutes on a Friday, which was far faster than I expected. On the downside, minus one star for never answering the phone with a live agent and for an infuriatingly confusing automated phone dialog. I realize the consulate staff gets busy, but they're only open to the public for like 3 hours a day. Answering some phone calls would be a big help to people who are coming into town and need to make sure they have all of their paperwork in order and are following the correct procedures.

Stayed at the famous newly renovated Caesars .....Centurion Tower...44th Floor facing the ocean......what a view!!!! It's all I need...after unpacking....freshen up...went to the boardwalk and walked to Showboat..... to the Tropicana....that's a good long walk......stopping and taking a rest on the benches along the way. Stopped at the Bikini Bar along the ocean for a drink and continued my leisurely walk until i got tired ...went back to the hotel ....watch TV then tried my luck at the machines........... Woke up early at 6:00 ...freshen up and did my walk again...this time took another route to Borgata......that famous newest "kid" on the block.....a very imposing facade.......what a place it was.....Whew !!!!It's beautiful.....check out the casino lobby....very impressive....You'll also find 2 of the most famous chefs restaurant in house......Wolfgang Puck and Bobby Flay.....whipping out their culinary expertise in every recipe they create....then there is Isakaya...a modern Japanese pub that defies comparison...Extrordinary sushi, sake & robatayaki served in a sendual yet comtemporary atmosphere....there were alot of eateries and high end shops around....... After having dinner at a PHO Sydney...Vietnamese restaurant (review coming up) went to the casino floor at Caesars and tried my luck again on the slot machines.....My $20.00 became 40....then 60....then 80...$200.00....time to cash in......just got my money back and some from a day before.....walked around watched people lost money on the poker tables....boy...I tell you these people are gamblers....i was on the 25 cents machine....but most of the older ones are on the dollar machines....and $5.00 machines...I nearly fainted when I saw a $100.00 machine...Whoa!! am I seeing it correctly...Excuse me but is this a $100.00 machine? Yes Ma'am....unbelievable....These people are high rollers!!!!.Well....I work hard for my money and I am not about to throw it now that way.....I have no problem with spending it on good food....well........everybody is different... Went for dinner at the casinos famous buffet.....it was Bleh!!!!Big disappointment....Steak was as hard as my head....most of the food are either over cooked or bland....too much oil....just feasted on the shrimps...and mussels....at least their desserts was yummy..... The main entrance / hotel lobby of Caesar's is actually in the back facing Pacific Avenue..... although there are 2 entrances facing the boardwalk...it is actually the back of the casino........A block down from the main entrance are Designer Outlet stores.......so if you get lucky and win a lot of money....stop and shop before heading home.......it was an unwinding trip.......I am good as new....... .
