I just happened to look up Dominican Republic, which is our destination, day before flight and learned that you have to submit an application for an e-ticket to get into the country. Must be done in advance and country approval for travelers. Called the travel agent and she was clueless. Had I not happen to come across this, we would have been in trouble. Travel agent also got us zero perks with hotel. What's the point? Travel agent did absolutely nothing for us.

We loved the laid-back style of the resort and never felt the need to get dressed up or rush. We had dinner at lemongrass and it was really yummy! Not tipping was weird at first - but after being there...I understand why tipping is not allowed, and that made the trip truly all-inclusive. We had people tell us we would not like Jamaica....but WE LOVED IT. I personally loved the low key, relaxing and humble nature of the people.
