Pick this company for moving, the other Yelpers were correct! Tiam is quick in response and easy to correspond with. His team mates were all very friendly, courteous and polite. They are punctual and work non stop even though I kept asking if they need to break for lunch and offered water and snacks! I thought I packed well(proper bins and HD boxes) and the move would take 5 hours but 7 hours later was normal for a 2 bedroom, 1.5 detached house. I blame the garage/shed but these guys kept moving everything out and playing Tetris with the boxes until the truck fit everything in neatly, safely to the very very top. For some items they wrapped the blanket all around and taped it secure without us needing to request it. Really appreciate that attention to detail and care, despite some being IKEA furniture, they treated everything with care. They made it to new house first as we still had to tidy before leaving ourselves and we found they had started unloading the garage items already, without us having to instruct them, wow awesome! They unrolled sturdy foam rubber like mats on the hallways and stairs to protect the hardwood floor and asked for directions to move items I forgot to label or map. They even offered to stay and help us unpack or assemble if needed. Only downside which isn't a biggie was - he forgot the tablet to process the bill so it got emailed next day but I paid him all cash (credit has 3% processing fee) which makes anyone nervous there was no proof - one long tv shelf got scratched (ikea) it didn't get wrapped completely but Tiam was very apologetic and offered compensation which was appreciated I will be using this company again this year as we are doing renos and need to move stuff around one more time. I could not recommend Let's Get Moving. My experience with this company was unpleasant to say the least. Almost every piece of furniture had some damage to it when it arrived. For example, my solid walnut dining table that I carefully looked after for many years was damaged because an inexperienced mover flipped it onto its sides against the hard floor to remove the legs with nothing to protect it from getting scratched and dented. They also left behind a few pieces in the moving room that I luckily was able to find since no one had taken them. Even though I was clear about the number of boxes and items I had to move (they sold the boxes and supplies to me), there were staffing issues that jeopardized completing the move on time due to the number of hours they can work in a day and no other staff available to complete the job. This was very stressful. I had to replace some of the larger furniture pieces because they were damaged or broken. The call centre was also not helpful and I felt did not take my concerns seriously. This ended up being a very expensive ordeal. To this day, when I see their trucks or ads, I feel a negative emotional reaction. read more

This is the worst company to deal with. Totally dishonest and unprofessional. 7 months later we are still dealing with scratched furniture, screws missing from bedframes. Our bedroom dresser collapsed on the floor as the legs were broken on one side. We were asked to pay extra in cash for heavy furniture. We were also asked NOT to contact anyone concerning the extra charge. Recently someone claiming to be from the company offered us $175 refund in order to remove the review. They also asked for our credit card in order to deposit the refund which we refused. Haven't heard from them since, definitely a scammer! This is my second time using Let's Get Moving and I have to say it was an easy and smooth experience. Amardeep and Kiranbeerpal showed up the morning of my move and they did great work moving my 2 bedroom apartment. They navigated their truck through some tight spaces, they were extremely polite, and they were very careful with my stuff. We ran into some hiccups with the elevator but the team managed things quickly and professionally. I was extremely happy with these two guys. When we got to the new place, I hadn't done the best job of labeling my boxes, but the movers were very patient with me and asked me where to place everything. Helped a family member move - met them at the new house so I can't speak to the service packing the old house up. What I witnessed from here: -Movers wore their dirty shoes in the house with no protective mats or tarps placed prior. -None of the movers wore the uniform that is typically pictured; it seems they were new hires or the reviews you see with pictures are part of some sort of planned photo shoot -No plan in moving bigger items; movers would reach an impasse then start yelling at each other in how to proceed. -A specific occurrence of the above situation: Movers had ALREADY DAMAGED THE WALLS then yelled out to proceed with an item they would need a signed release to further damage the wall; proceeded to further damage the wall, stairs, door frames and ceiling -Unpreparedness: No tools for assembly, cutting their wrappings, carpets or protective items beyond wrapping some more fragile items -Placing a box marked "fragile" upside down -Balancing boxes marked fragile on other smaller, fragile-marked boxes -Dirty shoe prints on new carpets -Instead of asking one of the 5 members of the moving team to assist moving a couch, enlisted family members to assist in the moving team's job to move a couch If this was my move I would've done everything myself rather than spend money to have this moving team damage my property then charge for it, and take 12 hours to do. read more

Perhaps the best movers to those who dont get their stuff broken. Paid about $1700 for a 2-hr move. Movers broke the gate to the complex. No decency to even report that they broke something. Confronted with video evidence, the drivers admitted that they were the ones on the video. But, Let's Get Moving refused to pay even for the immediate fix, let alone the replacement. So for everyone out there, even if the stuff you are moving is worth little, it might cost you, big time, in the end if you hire this company and they end up breaking something else - say doors, gates, structures. That's not a way to run a business like this. Yes, accept compensation when you render a service (the $1,700 that I paid), but pay up when you break stuff. It's moral, and its good business. Most of the things I noticed were at best nuisances, except for the scratches and wall dings - see below. [It's worth noting that I emailed this feedback to them within two days of the move, and never received a reply.] More detail: Pricing Reasonable/ competitive. They charge by the hour, with a two-hour minimum and drive time to the first pickup and a fixed estimate from the departure point. They also charge you per item over 100 lbs that goes up or down a flight of stairs. The Back office Team After I confirmed the move, I was called four times by three of your colleagues: two people once each, one guy twice. The guy's call was the most memorable, because he had the address wrong both times, meaning he didn't actually fix the mistake the first time. Full disclosure of our failings: We weren't quite ready - we were still packing boxes when they arrived. We also didn't do a stellar job in sealing our boxes: we bought a lot of packing tape, but only a few rolls were good quality paper tape, and we didn't use enough of it. Their team was diligent in re-sealing boxes/ fixing our mistakes in that regard. (Perhaps add that to your customer's prep list: "use paper tape, and lots of it, so your boxes won't pop open".) The Moving team: The were all friendly, courteous, and hard-working. The team lead, Ian, recommended a change in plans (do the storage pickup as a second trip), as a time-saver, so clearly he was thinking about my needs. That said, all of them could do with some training and greater focus on the job, perhaps with management providing them a detailed checklist. They did not use moving blankets or lift harnesses. Perhaps as a result, at the new house there are three 3" scratches on the hardwood floor (which I showed to Ian at the time), and a few wall dings at the basement stairs as they moved the freezer unit into the basement. They brute-forced/ squeezed the king-size mattress up the stairs (scraping some stippling off the ceiling in the process), when a moment's reflection would have noted that the staircase was open to the adjoining halls, meaning they could have flipped the mattress over the bannisters. They moved the washer/ dryer to the laundry area in the basement, great, but simply left them in the general area/ didn't actually push the machines closer into place until I brought it up. They could have paid more attention to the labels on the boxes: * I called them out on one instance were a box marked "fragile" was at the bottom of a stack on a dolly * Many boxes labelled "Living Room" went to the basement or the Family Room Finally, they need to do a complete walkthrough of the pickup and dropoff locations before leaving * They left the starting point without half of my disassembled office desk. Fortunately, I noticed it in time to call them back to get it. * They also left some of their recycling/garbage on my driveway. I moved Sept 1st with Let's Get Moving. You can see their truck in the attached pictures. For context, I have been living in 2 bedroom apartments for 20 years and have booked with moving companies during that period. The service I received from the 2 of the 3 Let's Get Moving movers is on the terrible end of the spectrum. Why? - The movers arrived on the outside end of their "arrival window" due to "traffic" from their North York location for our move at 7:30a.m.. last week, a friend and I drove from this location all the way up to Woodbridge (north of Weston Road and Hwy 7) in 45 mins and with plenty of traffic and during afternoon rush hour. Thats why the move was booked for early in the morning. - They sat at the top of our driveway on arrival and were paused. Amid pending move and much to do -- we had to go out of the apartment and up to the top of driveway to look for them. We had to give same directions that were provided to office by email the day previous --- once truck was positioned, head guy and two others came in without wardrobe boxes or dollies just "to see" if it was a safe space...all on our time. I told him that he could both see and make effective use of the time by bringing wardrobe boxes in with him. What would be "unsafe" during a move? There are boxes everywhere which is not safe under normal circumstances but generally acceptable for moving. This was a poor excuse to delay working. Third bad sign of the day... ---- the apartment was ground level right beside the outside door. It took their 3 guys 3.5 hours to load the truck with dollies etc...they did not at each circumstance make use of their equipment (dollies) to load up multiple things in order to expedite it and this made them more tired early on. ----- 3.75 hours later they arrived and parked a bit further away behind a car closest to our door. Why would they not move up behind the car? I repeatedly asked the driver/head guy to move closer to behind that car and he delayed. He had a huge attitude problem and didnt want to be "told" what to do. Obviously he was working for me so this was a really terribly characteristic to work with. ------ this same guy (the driver whose name I think is Anand although he only told me once on the phone and it was cutting out) told members was going to come to apartment and waste another 15 mins. to "check it out" and go back to his truck. The apartment is up two stories and he was so upset about it...as though we lived up on the 5th floor. Two stories is not a lot and I have previously lived on top floors before and have never heard a mover complain so much about it. It was so unprofessional. He called the office from my apartment making the 15 mins process take even longer. All under my time. ------- from there on in, only 1 guy did 75% of the work. His name is Jay. I gave him a cash tip on one of his many trips. He loaded his dollies and bumped it up the stairs. I heard Anand counting the stairs for him for safety purposes which is fine but he would not bring in some things from the ground too so when he finished counting he would turn around and go back to truck and disappear. He wouldnt always show up after Jay and we saw Jay several times in a row with full loads without seeing Anand and the other guy. Although Anand was the lead guy he was the biggest mis-manager of time. --------- when my friends (who were also helping so it wasnt like these 3 guys were totally on their own) arrived they told me the guys were eating, smoking and lying on the grass ----------- Anand tried to plea with me for sympathy that it's such a hard job. Due to packing and other moving duties/requirements, I had no sleep for two days with a chronic health condition that causes me pain but generally accept and know that moving would be work (like it or not). If you are THE MOVER and trying to play games by getting sympathy for not working efficiently and being super slow because "it's so hard" then why did you take the job? It's generally known that it's a physical job and a demanding one. Asking for sympathy for your slowness, ineffieciency, mismanagement of time and terrible attitude is a new level of poor service. --------- we were billed the highest amount we have ever paid for a move by a company with very poor if not the poorest service. $1871for a two bedroom. That was supposedly with a 30 min discount and one hour "discount" for poor service which was then brought back up because if you pay cash you get one fee but it's not guaranteed or applied if you pay by credit card. Obviously with such high and surprise bills after a long day with movers with a terrible attitude and work ethic, you arent prepared with cash because the move costs so much more than you expected. Overall, I say thumbs down to Let's Get Moving. We overpaid and were overbilled even with small and inappropriate discount offered. Overall I was very satisfied with this moving company. The movers were great, relatively careful, and very professional and arrived on time on the site. The movers also had the appropriate material to transport our furniture and belongings successfully to our new building. The level of organization and customer service we received was also excellent. The only downsides were that the service was on the more expensive end and sometimes I felt that the movers could have moved our furniture a bit faster to save time. Let's Get Moving (LGM) is AWESOME！I tried a few others before but none of them is comparable to LGM. They tried their best to do the detailed and careful work at a fast pace. The moving service is of good quality as well as fast speed. All I needed to do was just to relax and sometimes told them how I wanted it packed or placed. My boyfriend and I have a lot of furniture clothes and other stuff. But they packed and moved everything pretty quickly. Both of the staff helped us were very nice, polite and friendly. I definitely will recommend to my friends! Thanks to their careful and fast work, all my furniture and personal belongings are as good condition as before, well, even better. this is our first time using mover.2 years ago when we move from 1Br to 2Br, we hire Uhaul and move it ourself and this time because we have accumulated enough stuff, we decided to hire mover. we were moving 2 bedroom stuff to 3 BR townhouse and we sure didn't want to carry anything heavy by ourself. the process of booking was easy even when I have to change the date due to elevator time and also when I called, the salesman keep saying if you want the date, you have to send deposit before someone snatch the date.so we decided to move on Tuesday 15th. after transfer the deposit, Kieran call me back to make sure that date we want still available (sept 14) but we already book elevator for 15th and he said Ok and the time will be morning 7.30 which I reminding him that I can't do that early because we have a toddler who sleep until 9. and we requested that the mover came after 8.30 which they did arrive around 9 (under our dime of course). Kieran email me back with the correct detail and that's it. one day before moving day, One of the sales called me back to ask whether we want additional insurance which I reject and also ask whether we need bedcover which we ask them to bring it if we needed it at the end (which we are) but I also ask what is my expectation of travel time between our old place to new place which they didn't tell me that their lunch time also included in our time but they will said that travel time for truck will take twice much longer like if we can arrive in 35-45 minute surely they can took 2hours to arrive (which is bullshit if there are no traffic due to covid). On the moving day, Pierre and Jay arrive at our place. we already pack our stuff (90% pack) except furniture. and I can see who is the one who work harder and I would have to say that I like Jay because he is the muscle and the driver here but Pierre was the brain because he know how to cover the furniture with blankets. 30 minute into work, Pierre were asking for water and because we already pack everything, my partner have to go to the car to bring some water bottle which is fine but once the boxes are inside the truck, Pierre start to slow down on packing furniture which took 1,5 hour for wrapping and cover with blankets with none of disassembled furniture. we didn't have bedframe (toddler reason) and I feel like they are slowing down because they want to finish later. my partner know that they almost finish so he bought pizza from near our place for them and also buy lunch for us to eat inside our car because we were thinking to save our time but it didn't because Jay is vegetarian so he can't eat pizza so once Pierre done his lunch, they have reroute to buy some food for Jay which on our dime (again.. everything counted on our final bill). we finish our lunch at parking lot and after we finish, we drive to our new place and waited for 20 minute before they arrive (it took us 35min and it took the truck 1 hour 20 min to arrive at our new place) and the moving in process were quicker then before because this time Pierre decided he want to finish early and He help to carry some of our boxes inside and we also help unwrap the blanket from furniture so we can finish earlier too. 45 minute into 4.30PM, Pierre start to ask for payment because he said he estimated that they will finish and arrive at office around 4.30 and he count it took 8 hours with 1 queen bed cover. Pierre called me at 8.20 that they will heading out and he said he gave us 10min discount to be fair. he also ask what estimated hour that sales gave us and we told him it was 6-8 hours. Update: In discussing my experience with the company I stressed that I wanted to know how they planned to avoid these issues for customers. Instead of answering that question they raised to compensation offer. Every time I restated my questions I got no answer, just a higher compensation offer and a request to remove my negative review. So, they're more interested in their image than in actually doing a good job. That says a lot about the company, I won't be recommending them to anyone. We had a bad experience with Let's Get Moving, we were not informed when booking the move that we would have to prove our TV was working before the move. As we weren't informed of the need to prove it was functional we didn't have a power cable accessible to prove it. So, as we couldn't prove the TV was working it is excluded from damage claims. They also broke a carpet cleaner and damaged our dining room table and one of the chairs. If you use these movers make sure they tell you everything up front. They seem to like leaving out details that will put a customer at a disadvantage if anything is damaged. read more

Our biggest issue was that the team was running late, and they were a bit slow getting to us from the LGM office (I checked the trip in Google Maps, and they took about 30 mins longer than Google's estimate). Otherwise things went quite smoothly and the team was friendly and efficient. Beware of Let's Get Moving. Their "service" is HORRIBLE. I hired them for a move on December 31, 2023 from a 2 bedroom plus den condo in Markham to a 3 bedroom condo in Scarborough, which is an 11 minute drive away. Three men took nearly 12 hours for a slow, incompetent, sloppy unprofessional "service" that wasn't even completed. It took them over 6 hours to disassemble our furniture and transport our property from my former condo to my new condo. The manager had the audacity to send a fourth guy to "assist" with the move after nearly 8 hours. They charged $2,500 for 11.5 hours of stress and wasted time. They refused to unload the truck with the rest of my belongings, even though I was intimidated into arranging payment. The manager claimed the job would be complete by 8pm (mind you they started at 10am). The movers returned to the truck and drove off even though the manager assured me someone was coming to collect payment. Not only did they refuse to release the rest of my belongings, they demanded a payment of $2,500 and pressured me into signing a stupidly written unenforceable "settlement agreement". They lied about refunding the charge as well. They have no problem extorting young women out of their hard working money in order to have our own property returned. This company has good reviews because they PAY CUSTOMERS to take down bad reviews! They have harassed me to remove my bad review in return for a payout. They first offered $100, then increased the offer to $150. We posted the bad review and they increased the offer to $500 and then $750. During the 'negotiation' they pretended like the first offer ($100) was a mistake. I actually removed the reviews and was going to take the payout, however, a prominent review platform sent me a 5 paragraph email making it pretty clear this is a recurring theme. I realized that I rely on open and honest reviews in every day life, so didn't want to sell my soul for a few bucks. Moving is stressful enough, so if I can help even one family, that is worthwhile in my eyes. I have moved 4 times in the last 3 years and this was by far the worst experience and most expensive move to date. First of all, it's important that you realize that the reason this company has good reviews is because if you have a claim settled with them due to damage, they require a signed waiver indicating you will NOT leave a negative review, otherwise they will sue you for damages of $5,000. The irony is staggering. A bad review is worth $5,000 to Let's Get Moving, but to them, $750 was fair compensation for $6,800 worth of damage and a 30% overcharge ($700) due to two of their movers being mostly incompetent. Here is a summary of our experience: 1. We were pressured to use 4 movers rather than 3 which would have been fine if they did their job. 2 of the 4 movers stood around and looked lost for most of the move. Given you pay by the hour, and the mover, the extra two movers did nothing other than run up the meter. I personally easily loaded more on the truck than the two of them combined. 2. They had an abundance of moving blankets in the truck which they indicated they would use to wrap our furniture. We wrapped up 95% our furniture very carefully (bubble wrap on all corners, cardboard to protect finishes etc.) before they arrived, but they seemed like they would be careful so we left the remaining pieces of furniture. Maybe 3 blankets were used. 3. The truck was packed so poorly that items were flying all over the truck causing damage 4. They used a dolly to unload our wood dressers, side tables etc, directly onto the paved driveway which scratched the sides/tops of several pieces 5. They dragged furniture across the hardwood floors in our new house creating several deep scratches. 6. Huge dents/gouges were taken out of stairs. 7. Several times we asked them to bring furniture into the basement and we found several of these items in the garage after they left 8. They spent over 20 minutes going from House A to House B, being 1.2Km away. We checked the cameras which showed the truck sitting in the driveway. It took us under 5 minutes to go from A to B. 9. The quotes to repair the furniture and floor totaled $6,800. After the move, I followed up several times with customer service using the forms they required and left several messages before hearing back with an excuse that the photos I sent were too large and didn't go through. Seems they only care once a bad review is posted, so if you have a problem, you have your solution. If you use this company, buy the MOST comprehensive insurance as there will undoubtedly be significant damage to your personal belongings/property. read more

The movers who worked on my move were excellent. Prompt, professional, careful and hard working. I had a glitch and required a second move of more items. Emilio & Daniel; Pierre & Jay were the two teams facilitating the moves. Booking the second move was harder to book because of the short time frame. I had more success going thru sales because that agent had the whole calendar and schedule and was able to fit me in. Even when the fist team (for the second move) became unavailable, the agent Daycota found me another time. I do wish that on my initial order I had been told it required 3 men to move my 2 bed condo. That would have eliminated the need for second move. Perhaps an in home estimate would have facilitated that decision. read more

Their movers put a hole in my wall. They claim they'll send you Amazon gift cards via their referral system, which isn't true. They don't respond to your inquiries when you email them. I highly recommend using Let's Get Moving after our recent move from a 4 bed house to a larger 4 bed house with basement at the weekend. Movers were prompt, polite and speedy with attention to detail. Wish all movers were as reliable! The movers themselves weren't bad, a little slower than expected, likely because they are paid by the hour, but the negative review is for all of the hidden fees that were never communicated to me ahead of time. I was told that the clock would start once the movers left the office and I would then pay once the move was finished. The movers called me to say they were on their way at 10:15, but the invoice shows payment started as of 10:00. Then once we finished, they said I have to pay them for the ride home as well. We were about half an hour from their office, but they claimed it would take a full hour due to traffic. This was around 3:30, but the invoice says I was charged until 4:45. Then, once I did attempt to pay, I was told that there is a 3% fee for using a credit card, which I was never told about beforehand and obviously do not carry that much cash with me everyday. All in all, the move itself wasn't bad and the movers were very nice, but it came at a much higher cost than expected. I'm sure you can get the exact same level of service for a much better price elsewhere, even though the initial rates with this company seem good on the surface. read more

I've never moved before but I had an overall pleasant experience with Let's Get Moving. The owner responded to me on Yelp messages very quickly and answered all of my questions. The best part about them is that the disassemble and reassemble your furniture. I was happy about that because my bed is complicated and I didn't want to deal with it myself. Everything is always great with these movers except the end. Top notch service, quick efficient and friendly movers. Then just before they are finished, they come up at you in a hurry for payment while your items are still on truck. They are friendly but pushy about getting you to pay. They estimate the amount of time it will take them to finish and get back to their office which is always a very exaggerated estimate, in this case 1.5 hours. If you have a coupon, you are often in such a rush to pay invoice that its forgotten and then they are unable to apply. I've used this company twice and it's always such as off-putting tactic at the end that catches you off guard. Anyway in the end, it's fine but it's frustrating that they rush you to pay and things are missed. No complaints about the actual move itself. I will use again in future but this time insist they wait until the end for payment like every other company. Thanks!! The workers are fantastic so again no complaints there. read more

Tiam was excellent to deal with and my last minute booking of my move was made very easy and problem free. Haroom and Angus were my movers and they were a real pleasure to deal with. They were very careful with all my items while being very quick and efficient. The truck and their packing materials were clean and everything arrived at my destination in perfect condition. Payment was easy with a credit card. Like everyone says, moving is no fun, but Haroom and Angus were a big help and really relieved the stress of moving. I recently had to move last minute, and saw that "Let's Get Moving" had great reviews on Yelp so decided to try them out. I was impressed! Service was done in a timely manner. Everyone on the team was friendly and I felt comfortable letting these guys move my stuff. I felt there was extra care with my belongings and they took the time to make sure everything was packed securely. I've used other moving companies in the past, and they have been kind of sketchy. Very happy with this company. I moved a whole house from downtown Toronto up to Markham, with no problems. The 3 guys were on time, polite, and took great care wrapping my furniture. They expertly disassembled an antique table and sofa bed, and put them back together. Everything was put in place, boxes in the right room, and they were careful to check each room with me before they left. I had one problem- a mark on the carpet, but it was taken care of the next week. No hidden costs or expenses. I would highly recommend them. read more

Horrible moving company, I do not recommend them at all. They were late and when the movers did show up they were inexperienced and used a moving dolly that had wheels that were flat. Not only did they damage our belongings but also our hardwood floor. Trying to call for customer service was a joke as the owner doesn't care. The only response when I did get one was they would pay for half of the insurance deductible. So I have to pay extra for the damage they incurred. Would use this service?? This moving company is very professional and makes the effort to get things done efficiently. They call to make sure you have everything you need and to confirm the move. The movers were great. I had a complicated office move with desks going to a home office, a storage unit, and another office in an adjacent building. I described it all just once and the movers had no problems with getting it done. My only word of advice is to check how far their head office is from your location. The moving charge starts from when they leave their office to your place and then there is a charge from your place back to their head office. read more

The move went well! I would definitely recommend Let's Get Moving. Two movers was definitely not enough for the move, and would have been a lot faster with more - previous moving companies have sent at least 4 people for a move of this size, and additional movers could have helped cut down on the amount of time and therefore the cost. The biggest hiccups were with furniture disassembly and reassembly. They took apart our bed no problem and seemed to be taking pictures during the process to make sure they could rebuild it. Low and behold they built the bed with the headboard on backwards (very odd considering this is something you can tell is wrong just by looking at it). This added another hour at least on to their time to disassemble and reassemble the bed again. And when they were done, there was leftover screws and bolts. read more

Efficient, on time, pleasant, proffesional and accommodating. They really helped take the stress out of moving. We had them come out and take a look at our place for the estimate, which was almost exactly the final price...and also the cheapest estimate I received out of 4 different companies. They showed up right on time, and diligently packed up all our stuff (not a thing arrived broken). They packed and transported our stuff from Toronto to Ottawa and unloaded it all in the same day! Highly recommend these guys. They live up to the good Yelp reviews. read more
