My hubby and friends attended a paint event recently. It was our first time with LPT and for our husbands- their first time painting ever! The venue for this particular class was a bar in Chino Hills. Before the class we had the chance to get drinks and a bite to eat. Service here was slow but friendly. Room size was huge for our class and there were maybe 40 to 50 students to 1 instructor. She uses a microphone and speakers but being a bar it was sometimes hard to hear. Our instructor did a great job at explaining the techniques to novices like us. Five stars for the 1st visit and 2 stars for the 2nd visit. I have used a living social deal twice for Lets Paint Tonight, which was a great deal and a really fun, local activity for my husband and I. We have tried other companies but this is so close to home. The first time we went to Let's Paint it was great! They had a large projector screen in the back of the room so no matter where you sat you had a clear view of the instructor's painting. This is the first paint class I've been to where they had that and I loved it! There were also three ladies working it. So there was plenty of help. The second time I had a family medical emergency and they were sooo understanding. Despite my 5 hour notice they allowed me to reschedule. However, when we did get to go it didn't go as smoothly as the first time. The check in was a bit slow and chaotic, the projector wasn't working and the ONE helper was more occupied with her cell phone than with helping the people taking the class. If you needed paint, paper towels or help it was difficult and slow. The poor instructor was basically trying to run the whole thing on her own. The class ran 45 minutes over because of that. I've never had that happen either. I did notice that there were a lot more couples in this class then any other paint class we have been to. That meant more men, which made my husband more comfortable. I would love to go again, but I really hope it will be like the first visit because if it's like the second visit then I would, sadly, not return. Fingers crossed for next time! read more

Such a fun idea! My girlfriends and I did this to celebrate two birthdays in our group. Kathleen goes through the whole painting process step by step even tells you which brush to use. Paint, canvas, and paint brush were provided. This was held at the Tilted kilt pub in Chino hills. The plus for this was drinking while we paint. I was invited to this event at Lucille's by my Mother in law. You are given an apron, canvas and paint and the fun is on! I have zero painting skills but Kathleen the instructor was ever so patient and kind. The painting part was very therapeutic and I was taught some techniques. It was such a great Girl's night out!!!
