He grabbed the chair and Jeremy, my friend and I watched as the chair fit like a glove right in the car. It was perfect! We were obviously happy! I would tell them my budget was $7k and requested that they help me out with what I would like at the wedding for centerpieces, etc.- and they would write me up an estimate for $10 to $12k. First thing I would notice is that when you're talking to a Florist, they take a good look at the size of your diamond ring (no joke). From there, they estimate what you can afford, not by what is coming out of your mouth. I hated that. Juan Carlos at Tierra Floral was the one who stood out to me- he never glanced at my ring and he was very straight forward if something I was dreaming for was not in my budget- BUT he would provide what I wanted with perhaps a lower cost flower to give me the same look but for less. In the end, he provided THAT SAME LOOK that the other florists were giving me... but for MUCH LESS. As a business owner myself, I can tell you that Juan Carlos is a true business owner. He's not there to rip you off. He is truly in this industry to create that memorable look for you, so that even he can look back and say, "I did that beautiful look." This guy stands behind his work. He was always available for me to stop by and discuss anything I needed. I kept changing my ideas left and right and he was on top of it. He would update my estimate, change my colors, anything at my discretion - I mean, at some point I asked him to use his own judgment when he was at the wedding setting up and if something didn't work, I trusted he would either remove it from the setup or place it elsewhere. This guy is THE ONE. My centerpieces were over 7 ft tall and people walked in just in awe! It was ENCHANTING! After the wedding, people were sending me personal messages about how beautiful my flowers were! I looked back at photos from the wedding.... and I saw Juan Carlos had put flower petals and roses in places I never requested or expected... he felt in his experience it would be a nicer look.... and my goodness, how lucky am I to have chosen him?! WOW! It was just PERFECT. All GLAM! He really hit the nail on the head when he designed it so that it was beautiful in the end, even if you didn't ask for it or pay for it. That is a true florist. Someone who didn't walk away when your funds were up, but continued to do the service because he believed in his work!!! You are the BEST Juan Carlos, truly!
