So last minute I was running around trying to find a chair for the mother to be to sit in for the shower. I found this place and they had a very reasonable price for a peacock chair, it was perfect. So I was able to get a friend with a SUV to come with me to this party rental place (they do not deliver items to your destination you are responsible for everything). At first no one was answering the phone at the rental but I kept calling because it was the day of the baby shower and I had no other choice. We get there and was talking to the owner Jeremy and the manager. Jeremy offered us Dunkin' Donuts while he was assisting another customer. We asked to see the chair because I was mainly afraid it wouldn't fit inside the SUV. So the manager told us it wouldn't fit and if it did he would give us a dollar each because he has done this before. So we knew we had to try since this was my last chance. He grabbed the chair and Jeremy, my friend and I watched as the chair fit like a glove right in the car. It was perfect! We were obviously happy! We also got our dollar each, lol which was actually funny! Jeremey processed our payment and of course yelp came through and offered 5% off for our first rental! It was great & worked out perfectly!! The chair was great and the mother-to-be loved it. The chair did not come with the cushion so we had to improvise and had our own, but it was perfect and made the room look even better!! At some points it felt like they were a part of our party which i loved. The were on time and quickly set up. Unfortunately it rained before we could watch our outdoor movie. After having two large (seats 8-10) tables and a few chairs collapse after setup, we called Jeremy at We're Having A Party and was taken aback at his and Shannon's response to our complaint. The tables and chairs delivered were significantly distressed and after setup (with decor) collapsed on us. When we called to complain/request 2/10 of the tables we rented to be replaced, we were met with hostile responses from both Shannon and Jeremy; as you can see in the photos and contrary to Shannon's statement, "we've never received any complaints like this" I find her statement highly unlikely. When we asked to have a replacement set of chairs sent not only were we told they don't have any in stock, but we were also told there were no additional styles available. We even requested for management or staff with discretionary authority come out to see everything in person (given their rebuttals). Jeremy is quite honestly one of the most unprofessional attitudinal business managers I've encountered. After explaining that the attending guests were older mature persons, pregnant women (we we're hosting a baby shower) and individuals with highly intolerant to allergens (including children,) Jeremy was not only defensive, but apathetic. He states, "Well, all 80 of y'all can eat on the floor if you don't stop talking over me." Keep in mind, the "talking over him" was after a series of dismissive comments inferring that we caused the damage. IF YOU CAN, AVOID RENTING FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL SET OF SCAMMERS, do. Nothing was offered to quell our anxiety or remedy the physically evident scuffs, cracks, and literal dirt/mud on the chairs. In the end, the kind delivery staff wiped down the chairs (to no avail) and here I am on Yelp, hours later, writing an angry, lengthy review because I'm still fuming from the exchange. Decorum is key and they (excluding delivery staff) have none. I'm following up with the BBB next, and then the local municipality to file a formal complaint against their business license. I had a spectacular experience with WHAP! For my 10/5 wedding with 160 guests. We reserved a large amount of chairs and tables, a giant connect 4, and linens. Shannon helped me out from start to finish with planning and setup, giving suggestions and coordination. The staff members were incredibly sweet and FAST! I found out on Thursday that I needed 16 tables and 100 chairs for a company picnic on Sunday. I called Party Warehouse with very low expectations given that this event was 5 days away. Jeremy, the owner picked up and told me that We're Having a Party is who they rent through, and though they were closed that day, he would take down my info and have someone send me over a contract. Jeremy went above and beyond and TEXTED me that night to confirm that I was able to get all of my chairs and tables. I was thrilled with how easy the process was. On Friday I received a confirmation call from Shannon who simply wanted to make sure that everything went smoothly on Sunday! On Sunday right when the drop off window started, I got a call from Alex and Reuben letting me know they were running late but they were on their way. I was really impressed and appreciated the heads up. When they got there they went above and beyond to ensure tables and chairs were dropped off in convenient locations for us, since we were going to be setting up ourselves. They even let us keep the furniture dolly so we could stack the chairs easily when the party was over. They were great guys, who although exhausted after what I can only imagine as an awfully long day in the DC heat, that went above and beyond to make sure everything was cleaned up and we could go home. Very professional and efficient! My phone calls and questions were answered quickly--everyone is very kind and knowledgeable. The moon bounce was scheduled to be here one hour before the party. We got a phone call 10 minutes before the scheduled delivery time to inform us that the delivery would be a few minutes late. However, professionalism and communication are key components to ensure customer satisfaction and returning clients. This was my first foray into party planning and these guys helped me every step of the way - Lesvi was extremely patient and helpful as I wavered back and forth on my color choices. Although I was initially skeptical, she made a recommendation for a pipe and drape design and she was right- it was absolutely gorgeous! Shannon was nice enough to accommodate my last minute delivery and pick up requests and Brian (and I think the other person's name was Jason or Josh?) were kind enough to help me set up my tables even though that work was not included in the original estimate. On top of that, they were just about the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure to work with- I would hands down use this service again if I ever plan another event. read more

Totally a first class operation! I just needed a couple of tables and a bunch of chairs for a smaller party I was throwing for my daughter before she went off to college. Since I was not renting $300 worth of things, everything kept telling me I needed to pick and bring back stuff -- which would have been multiple trips out to the suburbs. Who has time for that? These guys were great -- they treated me like i was getting a $1000 dollars worth of things! I got a confirmation call the night before, a call the day of the party with a window for delivery, and Alex, Frank, and Devon were great about unloading the day of the party and picking up the next day at a time that worked for us. I wish I could give it ZERO stars. Party was supposed to start at 3. I had originally set up for them to come around 1 but the guy called and said it'll be better if they come set up at noon sharp so I agreed. Makes sense to make sure everything is good to go. The day came and they arrived around 12:20. The guys arrive and as soon as they get off the truck they start talking about how "I don't want to set this tent up man" and stuff like that. Didn't pay it any mind. Just wanted everything set up. Didn't even acknowledge me until 15 minutes in. Half an hour into setting up, I see the frame built for the tent and everything, I'm thinking they're finished. Then they start taking everything down. When I asked why they said because they put the wrong tent size in the truck. REALLY?! By the way they were acting and talking, I'm pretty sure they did not double check because that wouldn't have happened. So one of the guys left to go get it in a separate car. Then for some reason the other two guys left in the truck to go get it. As if one person can't do it they needed 3. It is now 2:15 and NO TENT IS SET UP. I keep calling the store and no answer. They finally get there around 2:30 and they were the SLOWEST AND LAZY PEOPLE ON EARTH. LAZY AS CRAP. MIND YOU THE GUEST ARE ABOUT TO ARRIVE AND NOTHING IS SET UP. They started putting the frame for the tent up again and they kept on stopping in between to BE ON THEIR PHONES AND START TEXTING. These guys were NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. It is now 3:00pm. The guest are starting to arrive and NOTHING IS SET UP UNDER THE TENT WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FINISHED BY 2:00pm. Oh did I mention this was a SURPRISE PARTY. These people made my party start late that I couldn't get everything I wanted set up under the tent before the guest started to arrive and before the guest of honor arrived. IT WAS A DISASTER. NEVER AGAIN. This company sucks. Or at least its employees. They need to have better CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Franklin and Alex were prompt and professional. Greeted us and explained the setup process. They quickly assembled the bounce house and explained the rules. Most importantly, they explained HAVE FUN. Before signing the papers and leaving, Franklin and Alex confirmed what time they would return to pick up the bounce house. They showed up on time and quickly took down the bounce house.
