Parking is very close to the gate and once you enter the main gate you have a decision of either going to the big park or the small dog park. The big dog park is ginormous with two big sunken fields for the dogs to run and play in. There are some agility items in them and also a nice covered gazebo with benches and picnic tables underneath it. There is a nice wide walking path all the way around the top outside of the dog park with seating and concrete areas with pools on them for the dogs to play in. You can park fairly close and there is a very nice walking trail in case you want to take your dog for a walk read more

This park is awesome it is attached to a larger recreational park that is probably over 100 acres. As previous review were's I do not believe there's anything wrong with this park all the owners and the dogs were well behaved ....my imagination is telling me the person that complained was not a good owner and their dog was not behaved. I have yet to find a better dog park. My family thoroughly enjoys visiting this park. The area is well maintained and there is plenty for you and your pups to enjoy. The park offers an area for the small dogs to play safely with one another and a larger section for the big dogs to roam around together. We have a Dachshund and an Australian Shepherd. Both of our dogs find themselves running around the larger area. The park offers plenty of space for your pup to play as desired. There are several obstacles available and plenty of tennis balls and other toys that they can play with. There is a large pavilion area that the pet parents can sit under while the dogs are out playing. One of my favorite parts is that there is a well beaten path that follows the perimeter of the park so you can walk with your pups. Water has always been available in multiple spots for the dogs. The dog park is a section of the overall park with play area for children and other activity areas. There are restrooms close by that have always been well maintained. read more

Great Dog park with divided sections for Fur Babies of all sizes to be safe and play. We have both size technically our bigger fits in both sides. Speaking to the people, you will find some inconsiderate individuals. We spoke with the park rangers and have ones the size of our bigger dog and was even watched how his demeanor was of just play with his ball and ignore all others. Our boy was attached by regulars and we decided just to ignore. However our 2 smaller dogs that can't be with the bigger dogs now are constantly attacked by the "chihuahua gang" and we can't bring our dogs in if these individuals are here. Simple advise. Watch out for typical trash talking and neglectful owners sadly in the small dog side. read more

The only dog park in the city, it is obvious this was well thought out ahead of time. It's set off of the main drag and on the back side of Jervey Gantt Park, but separate to itself. Double gated, it's divided into 2 dog parks - one for pooches under 15 lbs. and the other for the bigger guys. Both are an extremely large area filled with Pine trees for perfect shade. A few large toys and 2 faucets with plastic pools make for a happy fur baby. For the parents there are several benches set up in a circle for them to chat and visit but inevitably, the furry kids end up congregating in that area. The park is closed Wednesdays and Thursdays to give the grass a chance to breathe and grow. read more

I enjoyed this park. It has a very large parking lot that can accommodate my 25' RV. The lot is next to soccer fields so it looks like it can get full. It has public rest rooms. Plenty of garage cans around. Sadly there is no separate small dog area. I noticed a few hawks so definitely keep your dog on a leash. There is an overgrown pond with an alligator sign so definitely obey the leash ordinance. There are poop bags for your convenience. They recycle here. Unfortunately there was a bit of litter. read more

Letty Towles Dog Park is definitely a great place for socializing your puppy. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were about 6-8 dogs at any given time. Everyone there seemed really friendly and their dogs were too. You definitely have to keep an eye on your pup in the event there is a skiddish dog. The park is separated into two sections, one for big dogs and one for smaller dogs. I had the pleasure of using the big dog section. There is plenty of room for your dog to run and play fetch. The park is clean and well maintained. There is a sprinkler and baby pools for your pups if it's too warm. There is water bowls with fresh and clean water. Plenty of shade (pavilion & trees) as well so you're not completely exposed to the sun. There are sitting areas that are spread apart throughout the park so you aren't on top of other people. Definitely a must go, if you are a dog parent! read more

WARNING - Beware of middle aged (white) female dog owner with 2 german shepherds!!!! One german shepherd is all black and the other is older with norman brown coloration. The older dog is aggressive and bit my dog as she ran by... it happened so quick. The owner was sitting on far bench reading a book not paying attention. Please do not let your dog in this park if that lady is there!!!! She seemed like a regular. That was our first and LAST time at the dog park. I told her what happened as I was in the middle of giving first aid, but she left without giving me any form of contact info.... even after seeing the bloody gauze in my hand. Many stitches were needed and a hefty vet bill followed..... besides that, the dog park was well kept and large with plenty of water. I just wish responsible dog owners would occupy the benches, rather than those oblivious to their older dog's protective tendencies. I do not live in Ocala and did not pursue it on a legal level. read more

Ive been bitched at about my collar here and yelled at about having my 1 year old shepherd who bumped into someone playing with a bigger dog to get mine under control not the othe dogs. Some r nice some r mean. Some ppl bring violent dogs. It isnt monitered at all. I cant bring my big and little dog at the same time. Hardly any shade. Basically just a place to let ur dog run off energy and watch the okder clicks sqwalk. read more

We take our dogs there every chance we get. All the dogs are well behaved and their humans too. It is so exciting to see the dogs at play and intermingling with other dogs as well. We get to run, sit on the benches, the dogs even have their own water source. Clean water too. They even have doggie bags for convenience. It is a clean park with beautiful green grass. It is very safe. It has double gates so it is very safe for our doggies. They have one big area for the little dogs and a larger area for the big dogs. We totally feel safe taking our dogs there. Would recommend it to doggies and their humans hands down. Bravo!!!! read more
