Gilbert has installed two fences for us, The first one was smaller and he did a good job. The second fence (90 Feet) with the Schoolyard behind with plenty of room to work on both sides. They in my opinion didn't set post correctly and they knew this as they had to cut the fence pieces closest to the post and mound of cement inches above the ground. I'm not a fence installer but I could tell something was not right, within two months the post was loose and the fence was leaning. The cost was $1,800.00, we contacted Gilbert and he and his helper came by the next day, they compacted the dirt around some of the posts and said it was because of the drought, I want to explain a month before that we received a phone call from the city notifying us we had already used 18,000 gallons of water and we were about halfway threw billing cycle so I assured him it was not lacking water and pointed out to him all the green grass surrounding the post. He insisted it was the drought, the bottom line is if the post were set correctly they would have not lifted the way they did. There were a few that were set correctly and they were fine. He assured me they would be back by this week and poor more cement around the post. Gilbert never came back, we called him several times, my mom and I both left messages. Several weeks went by and I finally blocked my number and called him and he answered, he said he went on vacation and explained to me he didn't feel like he should pay to fix the fence post. It was not his fault. because of the drought. The fence is now swaying in the wind and less than 2 months we paid him $1,800.00 on a fence that is now leaning and several posts are loose. He kept repeating the drought was not his fault etc. My opinion is If it was done right it would not be loose. You can tell just by looking at the first fence he did. We just want it done correctly. I am not happy with his Customer Service and he should be embarrassed to leave a fence like that. I want to add I ran it by my neighbor who is a contractor to see what his opinion was on the problem. He confirmed the posts were not set correctly. The hole for the post was dug at a slant and cement was unable to cc around the post. I took pictures of the fence boards he had originally cut to fit over the mound of cement and sent him a message letting him know I will have to contact the Better Bussiness Bureau if he wouldn't fix the problem he replied and said his helper would be by next week. It has now been 5 months and no response and no show.

However, I never received any payment, and after seeking legal advice, I've been instructed not to sign anything from him. I've also been advised to file criminal charges for theft of service, which will affect his record. Here's the update: In September 2024, I paid $8,000 for a roofing project that was never completed. Despite multiple delays and broken promises, I was assured that additional services (exterior painting and fence staining) would be provided at no charge due to the delays. However, none of the work was finished, and I still have not been refunded. Even though Yahir showed me he had $83,000 in his bank account, he is unable or unwilling to pay me back. I've had enough and am posting again to warn others about his lack of professionalism and unfulfilled promises. After numerous failed attempts to resolve this, I filed a small claims case, and the sheriff in Victoria has already served him the papers. On Tuesday, I reached out to him one last time asking for my money back, but as usual, he gave me the runaround and ignored my request. I want to make sure others are aware of his practices, so I'm sharing not only his current address but also other addresses he may be associated with. Please be cautious if you're considering working with Yahir Arangua or Level Up Building Solutions, and share this post to warn others. As many of you know, I recently lost my son Jay, and I've been going through an incredibly difficult time.
