Came here for a brake service and replacement of my power steering line and pump…read more Car came back running rough, spewing a lot of black smoke and could not reliably reach highway speeds. After two visits back at LP Europe Motorsport to try to correct the issue, they told me the problem was most likely not a result of their work. Frustrated, I took the car to another mechanic who put it on the hoist and found the issue within 10 minutes. When LP Europe Motorsport was replacing the power steering pump they damaged the turbo outlet hose which resulted in incorrect boost when the engine was calling for it. This caused the poor performance I was experiencing. In addition, the replacement of my parking brake cable resulted in lots of scratches and damage to the interior of my car. Missing plastic pieces of trim, cracked center console and plastic around the shifter that was visibly damaged. When I showed Luis this damage, he just looked at me and shrugged. I'll never go back to LP Europe Motorsport and I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism and quality of work. They simply do not care about your vehicle or your safety. I would recommend that anyone planning to take their vehicle here to seriously reconsider. Edit: Vehicle is a 2003 VW Golf TDI.

Maybe it was a mistake, but the response was to refund my credit card for the service?? It's not a refund if there was no service performed. I called the last shop to verify the make an model of the filter that they had installed and it's the one still installed (ACDelco). I called Midas and asked what filter they had installed and their records showed Purolator. I wanted more than a refund this is ridiculous, and possibly fraudulent. If it was a mistake then the fact that they overbook so much that this can happen is ridiculous. I have and sent them the pictures clearly showing this is not a new filter, but I got a refund on services not provided.

They've recently changed hands, and the new management is unorganized and terrible. I made an appointment online and no one confirmed. I went in and confirmed in person and mentioned I had selected the "inspection" option on my appointment, and that I wanted to "wait for my vehicle". When I dropped it off they told me they couldn't do it while I waited (so it took ALL DAY). I had my tires swapped and they didn't do the inspection. When I asked about it they said to bring it back in a few weeks when it was less busy. When I called back to arrange, the lady on the phone was only interested in telling me they don't do inspections, even though it had been acknowledged by management already. She finally conceded and I was given a time to come. When I arrived I couldn't even get on the lot it was so packed, even though they told me to come at that time. While I was parked on the side of Danforth with my hazards on, waiting, the same lady came out to talk to me, so I said "I'd rather not argue with you" as I had no interest in going over it again. She then walked back to the lot and audibly called me an asshole to the manager, who was moving cars. When I confronted him about it he said he'd "talk to her". I asked for an apology and was told "I can't make another adult apologize". That goes for employees too I guess. He said he would call me back about the inspection and didn't. Wow is all I can say. Zero stars.

Save your money and go somewhere else. I initially brought my car in for a significant scraping and grinding noise. To their credit, they scanned it, the diagnostic tool flagged the actuator, and they replaced it, which fixed that specific initial issue. However, the real frustration started when I picked up the car. I immediately noticed a subtle, metal-on-metal scraping sensation right under the driver's side floorboards. I brought it right back. They confidently assured me the issue was just that the front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. I trusted their expertise and gave them the go-ahead. $900 later, the scrapping under the floorboards are still completely there. It turns out the pads and rotors didn't even need replacing, and they were ultimately unable to diagnose or fix the actual mechanical problem. I am left with the belief that they rely on the "parts cannon" approach--throwing expensive new components at a problem and hoping something sticks when a computer screen isn't giving them step-by-step instructions. Bottom line: If your issue triggers a clear error code on a diagnostic computer, they can swap the part. If your issue requires actual manual inspection, mechanical intuition, or real troubleshooting, I recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere.

He looked at the car relatively quickly (within the hour) and had it safe to drive again within another hour.... and then charged us way less than we were expecting!! When does THAT happen in an emergency car-broke-down situation?? It was awesome. If I lived locally, this place would be my go-to shop. Their staff are the sweetest people, always making sure you are taken care of. They are also super transparent, keeping you updated throughout the process and ensuring that everything is within budget (without sacrificing quality ofc) On top of all that, the shop's guest area is always kept neat and tidy with some nice performance parts on display, there is also abundant seating area. They can do pretty much all mods and services, I would 100% recommend them to my friends and come back again when my car needs servicing. You'd expect that when you purchase something so expensive, and bring it to a pretty high end exhaust shop, you would get service that is appropriate to the price. These guys essentially destroyed the y-pipe and my stock catalytic converters by welding them together instead of taking the harder (but paid for job) and mounting them together by the flanges. after they are finished with this pathetic work they call high quality, they charged me $550. not only that, they took the gaskets I had provided them with, not a huge deal but always scheming for just a bit more right? Say goodbye to the resale or reusability value of my 400$ ypipe and $1000 cats. Welding might have been okay if it was mentioned and confirmed by me before doing it but they just went right ahead without my consent. I will never be coming back and will recommend EVERYONE I know to never set foot in your "store". If you want exhaust work done, do not come here. So many places will do it cheaper and properly.
