I am reviewing Tiffany Allen, Hair Stylist, from Studio 9, in Des Moines, Iowa. If I could give a zero, I would. Here is why. My daughter got married a month ago at a destination resort. I had an updo for the wedding that I loved. I wanted to duplicate the same style for the reception in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend. I visited with Tiffany Allen from Studio 9, in Des Moines, multiple times. I sent her my picture I wanted to duplicate. She said she could do it. I asked her if she was confident in this updo style, to which her response was "yes". On the day of the reception, we discussed the style with the picture again. Once again, I asked her if she was confident, to which she replied, "yes". Midway through the appointment, I thought to myself that it wasn't looking like the first time. I showed her the picture again and asked for a few adjustments. She still was unable to make the changes. At this point, I knew I was in trouble. I really do not feel like I need to explain any more. I think the pictures will speak for them selves. I will share the picture I modeled my request off of as well as the picture of my first updo for the wedding out of the country, and then my updo I received from Tiffany Allen, Studio 9. I would also like to add, I told her I wasn't happy about her services to give her a chance to apologize. She did not. I asked for a partial refund, and she did not respond. VERY POOR WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!

Quick and easy to book an appointment online…read more Checked in for my appointment and was seen with less than 2 minutes of arriving, so very quick service I like the options they offered to upgrade my experience which was simple but very nice. Ended up buying a hair oil since I needed one already but it also turned out to be the same one the stylist used on my hair. Spacious area and the stylists were very nice and accommodating. Price was very good as well - cheaper than I thought it would be.

Piper has been my stylist from the beginning- she is wonderful and everything you could want in a stylist- friendly, explains every service well, answers all my questions and great At conversation. I also love how collaborative this team is, if a stylist can't get you in they work really well with their team to get you in. They share formulas and it's truly collaborative at Amara. Complimentary beverages upon arrival. They discuss every service and price point before starting to make sure you are comfortable and they also work around your budget too. I've personally had my hair done by both Piper and Addison who are wonderful but the whole team is super friendly. I have also had my daughter's hair cut here by Piper and she is wonderful and patient with kids as well. This salon is also very beautiful and just did an expansion and remodel of their beautiful space to welcome more stylists to the team. I believe it is run by Lao individuals. I've been visiting since I was in high school to get good hair cuts and styling. Whenever I go, they usually do things pretty quickly. I came here for my high school prom several years ago, and I was pleased with how they curled my hair. Staff are personable, friendly, and attentive to your desires. Pricing is good. A haircut can average to be about 13 bucks. I got my hair styled for about $25 for a formal event. I highly recommend this local salon!

Believe me, they think their time is way more valuable than yours. And not just because they do this to you but also because they cancel all the time but when you do? Oh no, they expect you to pay. How about a credit for me when my stylist cancels then? Seems fair to me.
