I found Amara before moving to Iowa on Instagram by doing a hashtag search- I've been going to this salon for almost two years! Piper has been my stylist from the beginning- she is wonderful and everything you could want in a stylist- friendly, explains every service well, answers all my questions and great At conversation. I also love how collaborative this team is, if a stylist can't get you in they work really well with their team to get you in. They share formulas and it's truly collaborative at Amara. Complimentary beverages upon arrival. They discuss every service and price point before starting to make sure you are comfortable and they also work around your budget too. I've personally had my hair done by both Piper and Addison who are wonderful but the whole team is super friendly. I have also had my daughter's hair cut here by Piper and she is wonderful and patient with kids as well. This salon is also very beautiful and just did an expansion and remodel of their beautiful space to welcome more stylists to the team. Michelle the owner is wonderful and you can tell she really cares about her team! read more

Michelle has built an awesome team and no matter what stylist you see at Amara you know you will be leaving feeling refreshed, looking SO beautiful and feeling more confident than ever with amazing healthy hair! I went into Amara for Prom and was amazed when I walked in! The place is so bright and happy and everyone was so friendly. I had a girl named Piper and she talked to me the whole time and was very kind! She did amazing on my hair and it stayed put all night. She also did my make-up and I told her I wanted it pretty simple and she listened. She made it so simple yet classy! The nail tech in there is also amazing!
