One of my therapists was just a few years out of school and I felt like he was trying to fit me into a case study formula. Another one I liked better because he was smart and seemed kind, but after months of sessions I still didn't feel that he understood me. None of the psychiatrists helped at all. Maybe a felt better on the medicines, but I couldn't be sure. One of the doctors told me that "I know the perfect medicine to help you", and after three months I just felt worse. I stopped all that, but after a year or so my old dark feeling started creeping back over me, and I thought I had to try therapy again. One of my friends had heard about Dr. Anderson, and I was desperate to get out from that constant cloud. Dr. Anderson is great! She made me feel comfortable pretty soon, even though I was feeling skeptical because of my previous frustrating attempts at getting help. Dr. Anderson listened to me carefully and when she spoke, I had a sense that she knew what I was feeling. I knew she had lots of experience and it showed. I knew that I was in good hands. She also had a comfortable attitude which helped me relax. I knew that I was talking to a professional person, but she also felt like a real person. It felt like I had known her for a long time, even after a few meetings. She helped me more than anyone I had gone to before. I'm now optimistic about my future. We were fighting all the time and not doing well. We went to Suzanne for 6 months and now we fight soooo much less and are in a good place with our relationship.
