My happy place! Love the vibes, the collection of books, and the friendly staff. The library has two book sales a year where amazing titles are available for great prices! There are many volunteering opportunities with the library such as helping with the book sales, helping shelve books or watering the plants. The library has a bunch of activities for various age groups. Whenever I've visited, I see a ton of people working, studying or sleeping here. Love this place! read more

I feel very lucky to have a library like this one in my city. Previous libraries I've been to are nowhere near as active or well stocked with books. You can find just about anything you want here. They always have events and classes at this location that you can do. I especially love that they offer boardgame nights and all of the kid programs. I need to take advantage of those! I haven't used it yet but they have things like a 3D printer you can use, too. When I search for a newer book they almost always have many many copies so the waitlist goes by pretty quickly. The website is convenient to use and I love being able to add books to a to-read list. I can easily open the website in the library to find my books from the list. It will tell you if the book is available or not, too. Using the website to put books on a waitlist or check them out to pick-up is also effortless. Very clean, very quiet. Love love love this place! Such great programs, places to study, cute playing area for kids, selection of books and dvds! This place is HUGE! There's basically a kids' side and an adults' side. There's a second floor on the adults side. I like that there are two sides because it gives an area for kids to play and be kids, while also giving space for those coming to study, work, or read. There are so many different programs. I would highly suggest that any one who lives in Lewisville to check out the library. read more

Could go on and on about how wonderful the Lewisville Library is! It's seriously one of the best libraries I've visited. I lived right up the road so I came by a lot. The downstairs has an AMAZING children's area and the staff members that work in there are all super sweet. They have a huge selection of kids books that range from the board books for the really little kids all the way up to chapter books for the older ones, and they are all cataloged well so it's easy to find what you're looking for. There is also a great selection of movies to choose from. The play area is spacious and is always kept together so it's not chaotic. I love that they have little mini "lesson plans" that come in clear back packs and they list everything that comes with it which normally includes a few books, and typically some kind of game and flash cards. So cool! On top of all of this they have story time for different ages throughout the week which normally has one to two books and a few songs/activities. There are story time options for infants (0-15months),toddlers (15-36months), pre-schoolers(3-6y/o), and each of these are also done in Spanish, then there is family story time on Saturday(all ages). I used to sit for two kids and they both looked forward to it every week. Not to mention they have activity nights all the time! Downstairs there is also a computer lab, selection of movies and books to choose from. There is also a charging station for your smart device if needed. They just opened the HIVE recently after I moved so I didn't get the chance to use it but it looks awesome. The description online says, "The Hive features two 3D printers, a laser cutter, a Carvey CNC milling machine, two sewing machines, a serger and an embroidery machine." And it looks like they have a digital media lab as well to work on video, audio, and graphic design. I hate that I didn't get to utilize The Hive before moving. Will have to come back and visit. Upstairs there are even more books to choose from with great little reading nooks, computers and even an elliptical machine to use while reading if that's your thing. The classes they offer for adults are pretty great too! There are computer classes, help during tax time, bee keeping classes, gardening classes, and so much more just check online to see what they have going on. I'm sure there are even more resources offered that I'm forgetting, but check it out yourself and you'll see. I cannot stress this enough, VISIT THIS LIBRARY you will love it!! read more

After a year and a half of moving to Lewisville, I finally made it to the local Library. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and was met with a friendly librarian who signed me up for my library card. She handed me brochures, pointed out the different areas of the library, they even have a 3D printer! I was very impressed with the comfortable and super clean work stations as well. read more

I love Public Libraries. Lewisville Public Library is awesome. It's huge, it has a ton of books, its clean, its got a ton of parking, and it has a ton of space with lots of tables to work at and comfy chairs to sit in and read. If they don't have what you want in their stock, they can get it for you with interlibrary loan. Also, they have a ton of electronic books and audiobooks that you can download to your digital divice such as an iPhone, iPad, iPod, Nook, Kindle, ect. LIBRARIES ARE THE COOOOOOOLEST! read more

Such an awesome library! The Lewisville Public Library is huge and has everything anybody would need, whether you're a student who needs a (sound proof) study room, someone looking for a job, or further education from one of their classes, a parent looking for a great place for children (the children's area is massive), a retiree wanting to join a social club, this place has it all. It's two stories tall and the shelves are broken up into clearly marked sections that you can read from yards away. The staff have multiple desks and are easy to find if you need assistance. I could spend all day here. There were a variety of people taking advantage of the table space and computers and all seemed satisfied and comfortable. read more

the renovations are much better than the old library although i have a childhood of fond memories of the old one. computers are slow speed. least they were when i used them. the tables all have outlets to plug in your electronics which is cool. the staff is very helpful dont ever hesitate to ask help finding a book. ive discovered librarians LOVE when someone needs their help or want an opinion a new book to read. they know their books! read more

Story time Tuesday's at 4:00 and 7:00 for preschool children. This is a great place to take kids for free. Throughout the summer they have various incentive programs to get kids to read. The library also offers family storytime, crafts, and lego time. The librarians are always helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. The facility is clean and orderly. There is a childrens area so the remainder of the library is pretty quiet. There are study rooms on the second level, but you have to arrive early if you want to get a room. The library also provides free WiFi. This is a great place. read more

Great place to study. There are two levels.First level has a separate kids area. Which is GREAT! The second level is pretty quiet! Enough seating (tables and sofas). Plenty of study rooms (usually occupied by one person in each room - not cool). It does get slightly loud after school lets out around the area. So plan ahead and stay away from the teen area. But other than that, I have studied there through out college and loved it! read more

Can't say enough good things about this library. They have several storytimes which are all great. The ladies at the children's desk and main desk are all helpful and friendly. I just started using the "hold" selection on the catalog website. I like the holds options and window pick up. Only con is that the computers are either slow or unavailable. For several months they were "Out of Order". But, it's all FREE. My closest library is Denton but I can't see paying $50 to use a library. read more

Frustrated with the help desk right now. I had set up an account awhile ago, then a few months ago started going again and paid the $1.25 for a replacement card because I had misplaced the first. Of course a couple weeks after I bought a new card, I found the old card. Then confused the two. I called and asked which card was current. The lady on the phone told me the numbers for the current card, so I threw away the card she said was labeled as "lost." Today, I tried to check out a few books and the card I had came up as "reported lost." After telling the girl at the help desk the situation, she still wanted to charge me $1.25 to replace the card they told me was the correct one. I don't think it's right to charge me for the mistakes of your employees. I walked away and had my fiancé use his card. Then I decided I wanted the card for when I went in and talk to a supervisor and the girl had already cut it up. Not cool. I will be calling tomorrow read more

I love my library!! There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit on. It's a really great place to focus and study.

This library is so good with my children. It's a quite place that offers great classes and activities for the kids. The staff is so pleasant! Highly recommend. read more
