I was surprised since the library in Houston all close at 6:00PM. Library is a place where we can being indoor with the AC and a restroom to use if need to. There are plenty of parking space here and there are some steps to go up to the main door and there is a ramp near the handicap parking space. My only complain is there is not enough tree planted area here for some shaded parking space. The first floor is the kids section. and downstairs is the adult section, they have stairs and elevators. There are pretty of chairs and table. There is a puzzle table where anyone can work on the puzzle and that was where we spend our time there. The staff here are very friendly by helping me to pronounce the name of the library was named after properly.

I give them back the books I've read so they can be sold to others. I can't afford the prices of new books, so I wait until they are used and buy them.

The Richardson Public Library has been a staple in my life almost all of my life. I remember…read morecoming to here to research papers I was writing all the way back to my young school days. While the library is all the things a library should be and you would think it would be, the Richardson Public Library is SO much more... For example this past weekend they held "Eggstravaganza" which was essentially fun, games, and of course, an Easter egg hunt, for the kids. They also hold Mah Jongg lessons and host a Mah Jongg League, host computer classes, AI lessons, teach Excel, host job clinics, as well as several other events (check out my photo of the current and upcoming events calendar). These activities have been a great way for me to not only support them, but also re-connect with the community. The library is SO good in fact, last week they won the Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association. Wgat's more is that this is their 20th year in a row of winning this honor...Congratulations Richardson Public Library and thank you to all the staff and volunteers for doing what you all do!!!

And I have lived in 6 states, visited several and been to plenty of libraries all over the place. My mouse for my laptop clicks so I don't want to use it, I'm sticking with the touch pad on my laptop. I am going to do everything in my power not to sneeze, cough or breathe too loud. I'm in libraries and coffee shops quite a lot and have grown accustomed to hearing children's chatter, music or phone conversations. Not here though, it's old school quiet like libraries of yesteryear. There is a large, wonderful area for children but on this side of the library you don't hear them. I love libraries this size. There are chairs, desks, tables, love seats, study rooms, media rooms, meeting rooms and even vending machines for your snack break. The restroom is nice, big and clean. And books, of course, they have a huge selection and if I moved to Collin County, which I probably won't, I would likely frequent this location. I don't know anything about this neighborhood but this library is really nice.

Really happy I discovered reading books again. Not sure why I ever slowed down. Harrington Library is awesome! Simply need to go in person to apply for the card. It's so simple! It gives you access to ALL libraries in Collin county. Everyone should have a library card! They use the Libby app. The most wonderful app at that too! Easy to use and people friendly. Links you to all libraries. They offer 3d images of mapping plans for children to make their on designs. How cool is that! It's all in house. I think that's awesome to get kids interested in technology at an early age. I wish more people would be interested in being part of a library. It's so cool to have access to knowledge. It's free! Went to visit my new home library today! I LOVE reading real books, holding a book in my hands is…read moresomething that hasn't ever been lost on me although I do love podcasts and audible I primarily utilize those during times where I'm moving and can't hold a book (walks, hikes, etc.). I came in to get my library card and put a hold on a certain title I'd been waiting on before relocating, which to my surprise will arrive tomorrow! I checked out a couple other titles to read around the pool this week. Service at the front counter was the absolute sweetest and most helpful! I'll definitely be stopping in monthly and look forward to checking out some of their events and book clubs.

Stopped halfway and ruined experience completely. Also the Children's area is very crowded at times with oblivious or unfit parents either clogging or letting their little ones clog up the aisle-way. The one thing I loved about the library is a cute gardening section right next to the staircase (as of 4/24/26). There's a lot of cute gardening books and even a seed donation box. It's a clean environment overall and lots of books. There are some open areas that can be quite chatty so I would recommend being in a study room if you need to study. They have a variety of books, programming, and areas to relax and find a pocket of space. They also have computers, airy spaces, and clean facilities. The parking is ample. One thing to note is that on the way there, it can be hard to locate because a small road brings you to the library and there's quite a few trees around so it's nestled away from the highway.

Beautiful state of the art library right next to the city hall of Wylie. I've been here a few…read moretimes, but never physically checked out any books. The women at the front desks were so nice if you have any questions though. I attended the "Pumpkin with Pizzaz" event at the Smith Public Library. It was such a well organized free event (everything was provided). I had a good time putting together and designing my little fall pumpkin. Thank you to the ladies who organized and orchestrated such a fantastic event!!
