You will have to wait a year for an appointment with a doctor you can only see and NP look for another provider

We have been waiting over an hour for an EKG. The front desk refuses to go to the back to check. This is unacceptable for a business.

This strains the resources and the nurses are always having to deal with exceptional patients. While we were there, they had a racist prisoner who was belligerent, an overdose who required actions for over an hour, several patients who kept yelling for help over and over after each time the nurse had helped them and left, and more. It is amazing how many people go through there. And people complain about their own little minor inconveniences. My only issue is that when I arrived after the ambulance brought my wife in, I had no idea if she was still alive. I waited awhile and had to go ask just to find out. I was in a terrible mess. The people at the desk aren't running around like the nurses. They should be in touch with who is brought in and have a standard to let family know the patient's status after a short time. They don't seem to be aware of what a person goes through once their loved one is put into the ambulance. Some of us are in bad shape because the last we saw of that person, they were in very bad shape and we have to just sit and wait. I'm sure they would understand if it were their family member.

After moving to Columbia, I needed to resume care with a cardiologist and found Dr Khoury. I had…read morebeen seeing cardiologists for years and no one was as concerned or as thorough as Dr Khoury. He uncovered an issue that was the cause of the symptoms that I had for years! My carotids were 80% blocked on both sides. No other Dr had thought to check that!! I thank God for Dr Khoury. Not only was he thorough but he showed genuine care about me as a person. He talked and listened to me to the extent that I felt valued as a patient. My concerns mattered to him! His staff was also kind and considerate. Overall I had a great experience with him. Unfortunately, He has retired and I have yet to find a replacement of his caliber!

My next appt. with Khoury was set five-six weeks later to give that time to happen. However, they forgot to handle that, and no hematology consult was scheduled. I called a week before the second appt. with Khoury and pointed this out, and they had records on all this, but could not explain why they dropped the ball. 2. He wanted me on Crestor, after I told him I'd had trouble with Pravastatin. I get to the pharmacy not 90 minutes later, and they called in Pravastatin anyhow. Had to get that corrected. 3. He wanted to run a monitor. That also got missed and not set up. Again, I did call a week before the second appt. and pointed this out as well, and suddenly they wanted me to run all over town to get the bloodwork done (and in their desperation to keep that next appt. on track they completely forgot it had to be done after fasting; I had to correct them on that as well) and get a monitor, and suddenly a hematologist apparently was not need after all, but the most important thing seemed to be getting me to keep the appointment next week. I've lost all confidence in this practice: wrong meds, missed consult, dropped the ball on the monitor he seemed to think was essential. Guess I'm looking for a new doctor. All I got was sorry sorry sorry and "no one's perfect." No, no one is. But grown-ups learn how to handle mistakes. Frankly, I'd be concerned for any patient not educated enough and experienced enough with cardiologists to be on the lookout for rookie errors.

The coding included "management of conditions" and another prescription, though the visit was solely for a routine refill. After challenging the charge, the practice terminated me as a patient, limited my prescription to one month, and left me scrambling to find another doctor before my prescription ran out. My insurer reduced the billed amount to $224, confirming the charge was excessive. In a call with billing staff, they admitted self-pay patients would be charged "much lower," demonstrating intentional inflation. This office also ignores pharmacy refill requests, forcing patients to intervene unnecessarily. The termination letter cited "loss of mutual respect," yet billing $356 for a routine refill hardly shows respect for long-standing patients. This practice's behavior is exploitative and harmful - and I see from the other reviews, this is not the first time Lexington Family Practice has treated its patients with such disregard. My family and I are not sad that we will be finding another practice.
