They advertise open MRI. but they don't have it. They say that broke down sever years ago and it was too expensive to repair. Doctors are recommending patients for an open MRI, patients go there or an MRI, and don't find out until they get there and given a gown that they don't have it. They ask the patient if they are claustrophobic and then tell them they don't have an open MRI. They have two machines - on that is smaller than a coffin, and a larger so they ask if you want to be put in feet first. I had a MRI and my doctor wanted one with contrast. He ordered it immediately and they kept making excuses about how it would take 28 days to get another one. My doctor faxed them, and finally called them; my insurance company contacted them and I called them. They said doctors depended too much on faxes and I know my doctor called because I kept tell them they wouldn't do it. I discovered that when 28 days had passed they could charge you again and they wouldn't do just the MRI with contrast but they did the other one first. They were able to charge $200 even thought I had paid $170 just 27 days earlier. They were waiting until they could charge for another MRI without out contrast (which I didn't need) and add the with contrast to it. I was very upset and would have walked out but I needed to get the one with contrast and my doctor had been waiting a month. I came away with the feeling of false advertising and feeling cheated because of the scheme to get paid twice. read more

I had to get an MRI and I was very apprehensive about it, I'm extremely claustrophobic and I was dreading the process of being confined in the MRI tube. Fortunately, Lexington Diagnostic has options for patients like myself. I experienced "open MRI" that allowed me to have three sides unobstructed while I was in the machine. My technician was Meagan and she was extremely professional and even though the diagnostic center is very busy, she did not rush me or overlook my concerns about the process. I did have to wait past my appointment time, but not excessively long. Like I said, they are very busy but they seem to keep the flow of patients moving pretty well. I highly recommend them and if I have medical imaging needs in the future I will no doubt go here again. read more

This center over-books, so you will definitely have to wait. I waited over an hour past my appointment time to get in for an open MRI. Other patients were going up to ask how much longer they would have to wait for other services. Once in, the technician didn't explain anything, just start clipping things over my head and moving me into the machine. I'm extremely claustrophobic, so asked them to tell me what they were going to do and when. This mildly helped. They had to re-take one of the images (I didn't think I moved at all, but they said their image was blurry), which took ~3 minutes. As the tech assistant was walking me back to the changing room, she literally said to me, "It's because of people like you that we run so far behind. People move and then we have to take time to redo the images." If there are so many people like me that they run "so far behind," they should work that into their schedule versus overbooking. read more

Great experience from start to finish! I was involved in a car accident and needed some X-rays. I called on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they were able to give me an appointment; the next day. A Saturday appointment made it much easier on me as I work Monday thru Friday. When I arrived, I was welcomed by Christy, she was very friendly and helped me fill out the "first time patient" paperwork. They called me back so quickly, I barely had time to finish the paperwork. I needed three separate areas X-rayed, so figured I would be there all day. Mary took me back to the X-ray room where Meagan took my X-rays, with Mary assisting her. Meagan was very nice and professional. She got me positioned each time and quickly moved out and took the X-rays. I really appreciated that because it's hard to hold some of those positions the doctor requested. I was in, done and out in less than 30 minutes. No body wants to go get X-rays, MRI's or CT scans but if you have to, I would highly recommend Lexington Diagnostic Center. Oh by the way, the cost is way less than if you have them done at the hospitals; which is a big plus if your insurance doesn't cover everything. read more

Horrible customer service and the worst run business! They are greedy and treating their clients horrendously. They do not care about you! GO ELSEWHERE!!!They charge you your full deductible upfront because they state they don't want to invoice you later. My deductible had already been met and I told them that. THEY CHARGED A 2% CREDIT CARD FEE AND DID NOT MENTION IT, (on the deductible which BC/BS states they had no right to collect before the EOB is processed). Stated it's on your receipt - which they did not give me - AFTER THE FACT. They overcharged me, now I have to wait for a refund and that department is out today! Icing on the cake, they are keeping the CC fee they stole from me by not mentioning it. read more

I am extremely claustrophobic which I came to this facility for an MRI of one of my knees. When the tech took me in for the scan I was told there was a type of MRI for knees that is more open and a lot quicker! How would I have known to ask for this? They knew what I was having done when they got the referral and it was never mentioned. As I laid in the machine for 20 - 30 minutes anxiety, I thought, "Why didn't they tell me there was a better option?" They were running very behind, but they apologized which I appreciate and the front desk attendant made me aware of the delay which was good. I wanted to add after you change into the gown, the wait for someone to come and get me was much longer than usual. In fact, I felt like I had been forgotten. I peeped my head out of the door and a staff person saw me and walked right by. That was frustrating. read more

Showed up at 7 pm for a scheduled MRI. Parking lot was dark and empty. Walked into a dark and empty facility--one receptionist in an empty room of scattered chairs and a TV. Why weren't there any lights on? It would certainly cheer the place up. And make me feel safer. The MRI tech was great. Everything went off without a hitch. I don't doubt the competence of the employees. I just think the place could be more inviting and give visitors a greater sense of safety. read more

I want to send my thanks to Lexington Diagnostic Center for working me in prior to the Xmas holiday and then evaluating the same day an x-ray which confirmed that I have pneumonia. I'd been struggling for the last month to get my doctor's office to treat my cough and congestion aggressively. I'm finally recovering at home where otherwise I could have ended up hospitalized which is a frightening prospect in the midst of a pandemic. Lexington Diagnostic is also taking its patients' safety very seriously. The "waiting room" is your car in the parking lot and patients are escorted inside for service individually. I had a great experience and would not hesitate to return or to recommend them to others. read more

Fast friendly service. I always try to go here for all my outpatient radiology needs. I find that the prices are much lower than that of the hospitals as well, especially if you need a CT scan. I've never had an issue with my service/treatment here! I've always found everyone to be quite compassionate & empathetic to my needs especially after I had surgery. Melissa did my shoulder MRI yesterday. Amazing lady - very professional and personal. I have had Lee do CT's in the past, and he is very good. The ladies at the desk are friendly and efficient. Today, I contacted Lexington Diagnostic Center to get access to the patient portal and Tim helped me with that. Again, a very customer-oriented person. Long waiting and staff does not seem to be in any rush. My first time Doctor sent me over with no appointment stated it would be at least a 3 hour wait. Scheduled an appointment and still have to wait nearly an hour for a 5 minute X-ray. read more

Lexington Diagnostic Center & Open MRI is the best imaging center in the area. I recently went there for an x-ray. I had shopped around and found the prices on self pay considerably less than UK and Pro Scan. With a large deductible on my insurance, I am essentially paying out of pocket for everything. They were professional, quick with the radiology report , and got me an appointment the same day. I usually don't get super excited about having procedures done (really, who does?) but Lexington Diagnostic makes it so easy! I would highly recommend! read more

Wow is all I can say. My daughter needed a simple chest xray and CT of the sinuses to be completed in Lexington and conveyed to Cincinnati. Over the course of more than a WEEK Lexington Diagnostic staff was rude to me more than once over the phone and rude to my provider in Cincinnati. I have always had LOVELY experiences at Cincinnati Children's, Cleveland Clinic, Vanderbilt Medical Center, the NIH in Bethesda and even University of KY and Baptist Health here in Lexington. My daughter has had 18 surgeries, 2 open hearts and spent more than a year's worth of days inpatient. Her medical care cost $4.7 million in her first two years of life. She has 18 specialists who actively participate in her care across multiple states. ALL have been wonderful in communicating and ensuring that she received the testing and treatment necessary. In almost 13 years of dealing with her medical needs full time I have honestly never been treated so rudely. If LDC really wants to gain business away from the major institutions they should probably start with an attitude adjustment for those answering the phones. It's obvious that they did not want our business (which as you can tell from her stats is quite often! LOL) read more
