I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!Lexington Lakes in Stuart, FL is the most ridiculous place I've ever lived at. The people are all incompetent in the hoa. The most unbelievably stupid rules ever. To get into this place was a hassle because no one knows what their doing. They knew I had a motorcycle but said nothing to me about them not allowing it in the community. I had been speaking to Brittney in hoa office for weeks, she knew I had a cycle, I mentioned it many times, and I wrote it down on the forms clearly!!! I moved down from PA thinking my move in date was the day after I arrived. They said all should be fine, credit was good, there should be no issues. When I got down here they said I was denied because I had a motorcycle, unbelievable! Britney knew I was coming from PA, she knew I needed to move in that day. They also knew I was stuck in a hotel with all my things in a uhaul, it took two weeks to get me in which is absurd. All because these incompetent people didn't have the consideration say, you cannot have a motorcycle here, can you put your cycle else where so we can get this approved for you now. They all knew I had a cycle!!!! So I had to go through the whole process again of qualifying. I had to get my lawyer to call them and make threats in order to light a fire under their a**es. If I wasn't desperate and needed a place right there and then, I definitely would've gone somewhere else. They do not know what they are doing!!! Other issues, the parking is horrendous, there are only two guests spots near my place and you cannot leave a car there over night which is absurd. I have four kids and when they come over there is no where to park. They will park on the side of the street of behind my car but the guard park behind me and the guard knocks on the door minutes later asking you to move it. I ask where and she shrugs her shoulders. They also stay overnight sometimes but they do not allow you to leave your car in the guest spot overnight, I guess they need those spots empty for some reason. This place absolutely sucks, the hoa is incompetent. Something else that makes no sense and is very unfair, they allow dogs but not cats. The owner who Im renting from is fine with a cat but the hoa has a problem with it?!? Who do they think they are and why should they have any say or even care in what the OWNER allows in HER own place!?!? That's ridiculous! I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!! Update: I got my cat registered with US Service Animals, I have a certificate which comes with legal representation if anyone at Lexington Lakes tries too mess with me. I also know there are people with cats in here (of course) my daughter has a coworker with two in this neighborhood. So if there are going to tell me I can't have one, they will have tell everyone else the same. I guarantee you there are plenty of people with cats here. read more

As a parent to one I purchased in Lexington Lakes. As with every new home there have been a few hiccups but they've been addressed and resolved in a reasonable amount of time. The HOA and the Association have been quick and efficient when wanting to add to my home (screen porch, impact windows). I submitted the proper paperwork and within a week I received approvals. Read your rules and homeowners responsibilities and everything you need is there. This community is spotless and the HOA does a great job of keeping to the rules. (Rules are provided prior to moving in; so reading the rules and regulations is a MUST to determine if LL is the right place for you/family). I don't find the rules to be unreasonable; in fact it keeps the outside looking beautiful and well maintained. Another reason LL is a great place to rest your head is that it provides all the amenities for adults/children such as a gym, playground, pool, and the neighborhood is great for walking/running/exercising, LL is quiet (but I live away from the upfront clutter) and very charming. Now lest get to the HOA fees: for one they are high, however, when placed into context of what you would pay for a free standing home or any other development, in my search, I didn't find one where the HOA included EVERYTHING but electricity and internet!!! the HOA many seem "too high" but if you had to pay for everything on your own it would be much more burdensome and MORE costly. What better way to actually SAVE money??? The HOA fees are proper and extremely fair. I purchased in LL for for all the above reason and a few I didn't name such as: NO SEX OFFENDERS allowed, if you have a criminal history (of any sort) pass by. LL has reasonable HOA fees considering what's included, this is almost a "turnkey" home (lock and leave for vacation), the manager has a lot to deal with but is ALWAYS professional and helpful! Stop being haters because the rules do apply to you and that is why eviction proceedings were placed upon you! In reality, the homeowners are not under the same scrutiny as renters (as it should be) and I applaud the property manager for keeping the riff-rats out! Let's start with 'experiences WILL vary;' that is just part of the human experience. One person may love Lexington Lakes, while another may have lived a torturous​ existence there due to, for instance​, nightmare neighbors overhead. THAT is life in a condo-ownership or rental setting. It can be a crapshoot​. Now, for my experience... I was there SEVERAL years and it was a great experience. The condo was good, the neighbors were great, management was helpful/respectful, and the pool was wonderful. @Heather.... I met people like you there. I can't conclusively, fairly say this is who YOU are, but you sure sound a LOT like some of those individuals I came across. Here it is... You are not conscious of the SPACE (albeit outdoors) you share with others. You believe rules are not written for you and your family. In fact, you probably NEVER took a moment to **READ** the rules for the pool deck which included NO jumping/diving into the pool and NO running around. Actually, I take that back. You probably DID give the list a glance then dismissed it as not pertaining to you and your family. You probably think that YOUR kids are just the cutest things on God's planet. Oh! Oh yeah!.... you also believe that "kids will be kids" and they are ENTITLED to have "as much fun as they want" even if it comes at the expense of other people's peace and enjoyment of the SAME pool area that they are paying monthly mortgage or rent to enjoy. Sound familiar, Heather? The pool rules, by the way, are there so that everyone can be safe AND enjoy themselves. The fact that your husband will "throw the kids," in violation of those rules (even if NO ONE ELSE is there), tells me a LOT about you. You have an obnoxious sense of entitlement. I doubt the "kids' laughing" annoyed anyone. The kids CONSTANTLY screaming at 80 decibels (even if it IS laughing) -- THAT is annoying and warrants a complaint. But your self-serving, self-righteous, entitled self would never recognize that. The VAST MAJORITY with whom I shared space with at Lexington Lakes and encountered in daily life had CLASS. Oh, and -- no -- you obviously don't know your demographics; Lexington Lakes is NOT full of "rich snobby people that have no life." But, they lived next to YOU who has no respect for others and are also teaching your children the same. The majority are no-where-near rich. They may have done well for themselves and moved there to enjoy a decent and affordable retirement. Hopefully, by now, you have moved from there because it sounds like you hated being there and, it appears, the feeling was mutual. I also truly hope that YOU have matured, Heather, and that you and your husband have evolved into better human beings that recognize that the world doesn't just revolve around them. Heather, I also hope you and hubby are doing better financially so that you can move into a house with your own private pool and some acreage​ around you so that you can be as loud as you want to be. I have been an owner in Lexington Lakes for 8.5 years and absolutely love it. Every HOA has rules. I repeat: EVERY HOA HAS RULES. It is YOUR due-diligence to read the Association Bylaws before purchasing or renting in any community that adheres by such. We are not an apartment complex. We are over 80% owner-occupied and have rules a regulations in place to attempt to keep it that way. Pride in ownership. I guarantee the crappy reviews on here are from disgruntled renters who didn't read the rules prior to renting. The rules we have in place are to keep the riff-raff out, property values up, maintenance dues low and OWNERS happy. If you are looking for a quiet place to live that is an excellent investment... look no further than Lexington Lakes! We have many owners who have been here 5, 10, 15 years... that speaks for itself. read more

This place is ridiculous. They want $125 for every person that will be living with you including minor children. I got in trouble for my fiancé visiting too much and they said he was a unreported resident. I told them I had a motorcycle when I moved in and then they tried to use that against me. They are constantly trying to get people evicted or get them mad enough to leave on their own so that they can get a turn over of people and change their fee again. My landlord was awesome and is selling his property because of them. I have 2 neighbors that are leaving at the same time as me because of them and several others that are "stuck" there for now that also hate it there. read more

If you have children or like guests near the pool, I would not recommend this place. It's horrible. They complain about everything. If no one is in the pool my husband will throw the kids. If the kids move at all on the pool or laugh we get complained on. Every. Single . Time. This community is filled with rich snobby people that have no life and apparently no family.
