On the day of May 24th I was given an excuse on why I could not see the apartment (vendors was in the apartment cleaning) two days of the move in date. The assistant was really rude to me as I acknowledge that at that point I asked to speak to a Manager due to I was told the apartment would be ready. The manager then still gave an excuse on why the apartment could not be seen before the day of signing. Day of move in May 26, 2023. Me and my mom go and ask if we could park the uhaul we was told yes. Parking the uhaul we noticed that cleaners was rushing out of the house cleaning and cleaning carpet. They told us the signing was at 2pm we got back to the at 2:15 we proceeded with the young man who was very professional. He came to the apartment. Upon entering the apartment it was a complete mess the floors was coming up. The base boards was not clean, or painted when we were just told the painter had just left. Upon the inspection we were told that the apartment had a infestation problem at that time my mom was like what kind of infestation we were told a roach infestation remind you they are asking $1510 for this apartment that looked as it was worth 500 in the living condition the ceiling fan was broken and a piece hanging and the window panes was molded. At that point I was disgusted. We decided not to go through with the apartment. The worse part for me was they had no concern at all for this kind of situation the manager didn't even show her face to try to explain. So if you are trying to move to apt 1303 be mindful. It wont even fill up the tub all the way with hot water. The tub is literally too big to keep the water hot enough to have a hot bath because you cant even fill up the tub and the hot water is gone. Dont expect to be able to take hot showers back to back The maintenance doesnt pick up dog poop everywhere They have had the pool closed almost the entire past year and it hasnt even snowed. That was the only reason i wanted to move there. You cannot swim the lake(they tell u that later) You arent getting quality for your money my guy Its just pretty looking

In the beginning they come off as people who care about you and the issues you have as a tenant but in reality they're no better than vindictive poisonous snakes. The only positive thing I gotten from the leasing office is the corporate office private number; which is 1(229) 273-9430. Bill Turton is the owner, not that he will help but at least you will have it. I've been a tenant at The Richmond Apartments for a very long time and enjoyed my stay until I realized that my apartment was being burglarized by the maintenance workers. Over time, I began to realize that things were being taken from my home and the outside storage unit provided by this complex. At first it was small things like silverware, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins and mason jars. Things you knew you had but somehow just couldn't find. As time went on more things became missing, cleaning supplies, canned goods from my cabinet, packs of tooth brushes and toothpaste, bottles of Dove soap, bottles of lotion, scented candles, toys, children's book, clothes, school supplies, art supplies, Christmas ornaments and decoration. Food was taken from my refrigerator as well as my diabetic insulin. My prescription pain pills were also gone. My car keys were stolen and my car was rampaged through where the contents of glove compartment was spilled all over the car seats and floor. My credit card was stolen and $65.00 was spent at McDonald's. I've contacted the police and made numerous reports regarding the thefts but nothing could be done do to lack of evidence. I know it was the maintenance crew because there was never any forced entry and they always had access to the keys to my apartment. I'd informed Kayla and Tiffany about the situation. At first they seemed to care but then they became nonchalant finally downright defensive. I'd called them on several occasions to complain. Instead of addressing the matter they stopped answering my calls. The only time I'd get through would be if I called from a different phone number. When Tiffany realized it was me on the phone she cursed me out and hung up. Kayla whose supposed to be the manager did the same thing, then called the cops on me saying that I was harassing them. Because of their lack of concern the maintenance workers became more brazen and the burglaries escalated. Kayla took served me with an eviction notice claiming that I called the police too much. The case was thrown out. After I was able to find another place to live, I gave them noticed that I was leaving and I moved out. Although I cleaned the apartment they still kept my deposit and charged me additional fees. Because I refused to give into their extortion they are now trying to ruin my credit. I just want everyone who is thinking about moving there to think twice!

NOW it's randomly showing up on our credit and they are not even trying to collect from the person who actually lived in the apartment OR terminated the lease. When he brought legal documents showing that the debt was not ours Tamara's reply was "I don't care!". She would not even look at the documents and is taking hearsay to collect from people that should not legally be collected from. As the leasing agent knew my situation and that I was reluctant to get the apartment (it was on a 2nd floor and I didn't want that burden for my downstairs neighbors and the whole reason I wanted a home to rent) she explained to me that there was a $40 application fee (fine), $150 admin fee (rip off, but okay), and a $250 security deposit (which I thought was a heck of a deal!). After deciding (days later) to go ahead and secure the apartment in the event I couldn't find a house for rent, I went to the office with my application and dropped it off. A few days later, after approved, I brought in a money order for $400 and a separate one for the $40 to run the app. I have been lucky enough to find a home to rent and when I emailed them to let them know and request my refund for the security deposit, I was very unprofessional emailed back with a simple "okay, unfortunately the $400 is forfeited" exactly like that So I called. To make a VERY long review shorter...I was told ALL monies are forfeited. Wait. What? A security deposit for an apartment I had never moved into is forfeited?! An apartment that still wouldn't be ready for weeks? The manager explained this has ALWAYS been their policy. I worked property management for many years and never once have I heard of such a thing. I was told it was bc they had turned away renters. This is my problem how? It's called have a wait list. I had called back in April asking about apartments, no one ever reached back out to me to see if I was interested. I had to reach out to check the status of my application twice. Follow up is key. When I asked if there was anything available and gave my time frame, she curtly responded that there was nothing available on the first of April. I then informed her that it did not necessarily have to be on 01 April and she responded "curtly" that I could call back next week. I was quite annoyed by her dismissive tone, thanked her, and hung up. With a person like this working in a 'customer service' environment, it is a wonder how this apartment complex has any tenants. I have read the positive comments; however, these tenants must not have dealt with the employee I spoke to on yesterday.
