The company is simply cheating. I called the company when I needed a tree cut after an ice storm this year. They agree to help. However, they never showed up. A week later, one person called (probably his name is Steve, but I might be mistaken) asking where I still needed help. I said no. The people who cut the tree were supposed to remove the cut branches. I was surprised when I received a phone call from the company a month ago asking me to pay for the services. I never saw anybody from the company. I do not know who removed the branches, the city, the people who cut the tree, or the company. I specifically said that I do not require their services. Yet, I finally received an invoice for $321.00. I have nothing good to say about Lexington Tree Service except they are fraudulent liars. I will pay the bill but advise everybody to avoid the company. read more

LTS was hired to trim trees on our fence border. They broke a wood framed raised bed box which they used to stand on for trimming . The trimming created a wavy, not straight top. The foreman came to my door to offer to sell me some wrought iron similar to some I own. He commenced showing me his antique items. He did not supervise clean-up. As they left, my husband said they needed to clean up the trimmings. They did pick up some but threw the limbs and sticks in my compost. They did not clean up on my neighbor's side. My husband spent 1.5 hr. cleaning up and emptying the debris in the compost. We called to speak to Mr. Stinnett but he was unavailable. We requested that he call back. He didn't. We called a week later. Same thing. and again, a week later. Same thing. We called today and he was "unavailable" but when my husband noted that he seemed to be permanently unavailable, he took the call. He apologized for the poor service and said we could get a big discount if we used them again. Why would we use them again? read more

LEXINGTON tree service was absolutely phenomenal! They came to my sisters home quickly remove that huge water maple in one day; and also spread the mulch from grinding the stump all the way down to the ground, all over the whole yard. Their price was extremely reasonable. They also removed big bushes that were in front of the bay window that day. And also trimmed the tree at the corner of the house away from the house so it would grow into like a canopy at the yard so it will be beautiful in the spring and summer. I would highly recommend this company they work hard and did exactly what they said they were going to do and didn't tack on any pricing. They took pictures before and after as I'd asked. I would recommend these this company and you won't be sorry that's for sure! read more

Don't waste your time. They gave us a bid for tree removal and clean up. Our job required coordination with Kentucky Utilities. We were assured they would work with the KU schedule (over which we had no control). When it came time to do the work, they stopped returning our phone calls and emails. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we kept reaching out. We were told over and over again that Mr. Stinnett would call us. He never did. We were left in a bind and scrambling at the last minute to line up another provider which was nearly impossible. read more

I had several companies quote the removal of a large tree on my property. Lexington Tree Service had the lowest quote so I hired them to remove it. They showed up on the first day in the afternoon and worked 2 hours. As they left, they told us that they would be back first thing in the morning. Well at 1pm the next day, they were not there. I called the office and got nothing but a run around. The lady on the phone told me to talk to the owner. I gave him a call and talked to the rudest person. He cussed me and told me that I could find another F-ing company if I want. I told him to do the job he quoted. The crew showed up in a couple days and worked another 2 hours. At this point, it became a joke on the street. Will they show or not... Over a total of 10 days, they showed 3 times and worked 5.5 hours. It finally came down. From the beginning to the end, and into the future of this process I was/will be very satisfied with these folks. Here's why: When I called requesting a bid I immediately spoke to a human being, as opposed to leaving a voicemail. The owner, courteously wearing a mask - though, for me, it wasn't necessary since our interactions were outside - nevertheless I appreciated the good citizenship - was at my house within 24 hours and left a written proposal. (2 of the 3 other contractors we called either did not call back or never showed up.) Once the bid was accepted, the work began EARLIER than they said it might. The work was performed efficiently and without incident. The clean up was perfect. Upon completion we called the office and paid via Credit Card. Next time we have need trees trimmed or removed their present performance will have saved me a bunch of time because it eliminates my need to go through the bidding process. I'll just call them and be done with it. It's rare that I am this satisfied. So, "Thank You" to Lexington Tree Service for a job well done. read more

I was at Lexington tree service today and picked up a load of firewood.I called before I drove 40 miles one way I asked how much for trailer load told her the size she said 90 dollars small trailer 4/8/2 ft sides I got there loaded up and then the price changed 125 dollars I was told it was hardwood seasoned Well I got 3/4 of some oak and maple And a 1/4 pine wood I can't burn pine in this newer EPA stove Really in my business if you tell somebody what you got or gonna do for them.......YOU DO WHAT YOU SAY No wonder there reviews are terrible lately unacceptable. Do NOT use this company. They will do half of the work promised and will not come back to complete the job. It took over a year for them to fulfill the contract and it was still not quality. The secretary that answers the phone is very difficult to work with. She will tell you that they will "get you on the schedule soon" and hang up. They will NEVER get you on the schedule to finish the job. The invoice they sent me included very nasty personal remarks about me that were very hateful. These guys at Lexington Tree are pros. If you need a part for your mower they will take care of you. I had an old mower with a broken rim. I took it to Jason at Lexington Tree. They were super busy but Jason got his teammate to work my tire service in and got it fixed. I highly recommend these professionals. Best customer service in town. Also, they have great deals on every piece of lawn equipment you can think of from lawn tractor, zero turn, small mowers, weed eaters, blowers, GPS guided lawn bot (yes a bot that mows while you're at work!) to large commercial sized equipment. Where to start... I received an estimate and scheduled a tree removal before the individual left. He was a nice enough guy... But they never showed up. My wife called and emailed to clarify why no one showed up- no one contacted us back. I called to figure out what was going on and the woman on the phone hung up on me. Not like she was mean, she just started trailing off and it was like she hung because she was bored or something. A couple days after this technicians show up RANDOMLY and seem pretty confused when I tell them over my security camera that I'm not home, they never showed up when they agreed, I'm going with a different company, and they can leave. My wife calls to figure out where the whole mixup began, she's the type of person who likes to resolve things in case it was me who messed up. The lady on the phone just didn't seem to care, offered no explanation, and didn't offer to resolve the issue. I'm not going to beg someone to let me pay then for a job, so there's just zero ways to resolve this issue. Honestly, who is running the scheduling? Why do they have such awful customer service? Do they even understand how scheduling works? How did someone think this business model would work? It's line a Twilight Zone episode or something. I have more unanswered questions than before I contacted the company. I would never recommend this company because they can't possibly be competent based on what I've seen. Even if they offered to remove the tree for free at this point, and based on their screwing up of even the most basic things, how could I know they wouldn't just screw it up? Very slow finally showing up to do the job (over a month), and every time I called to ask when they were coming I was told, "If not this afternoon, then tomorrow morning." When they finally did come, they did not do the job that was agreed upon. They were supposed to cut a big dead tree down "halfway" to make it safer, did not come anywhere close to cutting it down halfway. Had a very bad experience with this company. They quoted my property manager to fall a tree and when they showed up the tree was down and they did not alter their quote. They did ten hours of work marginally and charged $2200. Find a better company. They seem to enjoy taking advantage of homeowners. read more

I called this company requesting someone come to my home and look at several trees that have winter damage. I was told that someone would come by to look at the trees and get back to me. After calling several (approximately 6 times) and being told that I was on the list no one arrived. The people in the office were not helpful and did not follow up. I paid over $1100 to have some underbrush removed from my fence line. When spring came this year all the shrubs grew back from the stumps. When I called to have the stumps removed, I never had anyone return my call. When I called again, the woman answering the phone said she had lost my phone number. I gave it to her again and still no one called. I finally had to hire another company to redo the work. I'll have to go to small claims court to get my money back. read more
