Estrella made it easy. The price was fair, they got us on the schedule quickly, and they showed up when they said they would. The crew kept the area clean and neat, were careful and respectful around the house, and they did excellent work. They removed and repaired the deteriorated areas of the walk deck, improved the drainage, and finished everything off with a really nice PliDek surface that looks great and should last many years. Then I walked around our property to pick up any stray roofing material. That's when I discovered 2 pillar cactus were missing from my front yard. When I walked to where they'd been growing, I found a mound of gravel. Upon brushing the gravel aside, I saw the broken stumps of my 2 cacti. They'd likely been knocked over when roofing material was tossed from the roof. Did the crew think I wouldn't notice I was missing a tall cactus? When Nick/project mgr., came for a walk-through I told him and he said, "I won't tell the company & I'll buy a replacement at Lowe's and plant it myself." I told him I appreciated it... and then waited and waited. A few months later I texted Nick asking when I might get my replacement cactus; he said he was on the other side of town working on roofs, but he'd get to it. Well, it's been over 9 months! I've since bought a cactus and replanted it myself. I realize accidents happen but at least have the courtesy to say, "Hey, sorry, we knocked over your cactus." I'd have been okay with that. As for Nick, the project manager, I took you for your word and you didn't follow through. I recommend that if something similar happens to you, call the company directly to get results. Telling the project manager about issues apparently isn't enough and simply becomes swept under carpet.

I want to express my thanks to Danny Clark and the whole team at Arizona's Finest Roofing (AFR)…read more I had sought bids from 5 different local contractors. All of them presented as professional and courteous. But Danny from AFR was different. Each of the other 4 contractors provided me with an estimate to remove and replace our home's roof, but Danny offered a solution. He began by explaining different roofing techniques and showing me various materials. Then being a 3rd generation roofer he came up with a plan best suited for our application. The other roofers simply wanted to shingle over what was already in place. Danny opted to install a roof that had the potential to both insulate and reduce costs. He decided to place shingles on the pitched section of the roof and foam on the flat sections. To me that sounded like a unique way to beat the summer time heat here in Arizona. Now don't get me wrong, this option came at a premium but I am optimistic that once I have the opportunity to compare electrical usage data between this year and last, I am confident I am going to see a difference. And to anyone living through the Arizona summers, any cost savings in electricity is most welcome. I also want to take this opportunity to thank his office manager Tabytha, the site foreman Glen, and the two work crews that did the actual work. All of these folks working together helped the entire job go smoothly. I would also like to mention that once the work was complete, Danny came out to do a QC check to ensure that what was delivered was up to his standard. We had work done in all rooms including the addition of an Arizona Room , but for us it was a sewing room. Did it matter what the room was for? Yes in this instance it did, because I needed an excessive amount of light. They did a magnificent job, you couldn't even tell that the room was added on.
