He was quick to provide a quote and answered all my questions about the price, the strength of the concrete and what to expect. We were pleased with his quote and signed the contract. It took 8 weeks for the team to schedule us (which is typical, FYI). When the crew were ready, they called to check on our availability and right away spent the day taking out our old asphalt and concrete and framing the area. They asked for half the payment at that point. The next day (Friday) they taped and covered with plastic our front door, our garage etc so there would be no splatters, then in the afternoon came and poured-making sure to contact me to make sure I knew what was happening. Then on Saturday, their crew came out again to clean up the plastic and put back our landscape pavers and rocks that they had to remove to add the concrete frames. I especially appreciated how kind the crew was and how hard they worked to put back the landscaping exactly as I wanted. Terry came to check on the work personally and did not want the other half of our payment until he knew that I was fully satisfied with the work that was done. Showed up first thing the next morning for the demolition of old section of driveway. Everything was picked up and cleaned up prior to doing next phase. Next day they set the forms first thing in the morning. Concrete was delivered between 1000-1100. His crew was great, ensuring they kept the area cleaned up. They went so far as covering the driveway with plastic when it started sprinkling. Great job and the price was right.

He said it was because I "drove on it with salt on the wheels" (yes, it's a DRIVEWAY.) Turns out he cured it with too much water, and the surface spalled. After unsuccessfully trying to get him to stand by his work, I had to pay another contractor $7000 to replace the driveway and most of the city sidewalk. I asked them to remove and replace my sidewalk, they removed and raised it 4 inches which has changed my entire yard. They moved all of the mud and debris into my gravel driveway turning it into a mud hole flowing into my garage. In the middle of pouring the concrete they realized the sidewalk was too high to be able to close my storm door so they made a last minute adjustment, now I have a dip in my sidewalk. My shed doors won't open all the way. There is more but needless to say their attention to detail leaves a lot to be desired. Almost forgot, they ran out of concrete towards the end and had to order a new batch that started chipping in the first week. I have called dozens of times, texted and emailed with little to no response. I do not recommend Optimus Concrete.

We hired G Ruh Concrete to install a patio at our home a little over a year ago. Not long after the job was completed, we noticed several quality issues -- ones they acknowledged and promised to fix. Unfortunately, despite repeated assurances, the follow-through never came. Over the past year, we've made every reasonable attempt to resolve the situation: calls, texts, emails -- all ignored. Most recently, we've discovered we've been blocked on social media, which feels like a final attempt to shut down any communication or accountability. We've given them ample time and opportunity to make it right, but at this point, we want others to be aware. If you're considering working with G Ruh Concrete, we strongly recommend proceeding with caution. Our experience has been one of frustration, broken promises, and zero professionalism when it came time to address their mistakes.
