Flying with Liberty Balloons was an incredible experience from start to finish. I booked a flight the day before and Lisa worked quickly to see if she could accommodate my mom and I. We are so happy that she could because it was the perfect day to fly! We had Lance as our pilot and he was wonderful. We circled around the falls probably three times before we worked our way over to the gorge. When we got there we followed the gorge for a bit and he took us so low in the river that we bumped the top of a river rock! It was awesome! After that we went back up passed the falls again and landed in a field. I have flown in Sedona, AZ as well as Napa, CA and I have to say that the Liberty Balloon Co. flight and ground crews were the best that I have had! They were very experienced, worked great together and you could tell that they loved their jobs. They made you feel comfortable. I didn't catch the one ballon chasers name but he was cracking jokes the whole time. The one guy helping just started (he used to do photography for them and is now helping the crew) and I enjoyed watching Lance teach him how to break down the balloon basket and pack it up. In the past there was a lot of shouting between the pilot and crew during landing/pick up which really made the end of our trip awkard and less enjoyable. The Liberty Balloon Co. team was my favorite out of all my balloon experiences! Oh and I didn't see it mentioned when booking but you receive a little certification when you land and you get to have a little traditional toast! I will definitely be recommending Liberty Balloon Co to friends and family! It might seem expensive but don't let that scare you away because I promise it's worth every penny! read more

We wanted to share our experience with Liberty Balloon Company. Our ride was in the evening, on Sept 19. We met at the launch site and were provided an excellent briefing about the hoped-for upcoming flight. This briefing also gave us opportunity to get acquainted with the others who would be flying with us. The pilot, Lee did an outstanding job explaining the things that we would need to know to make our flight the best possible experience. Due to the wind on the day of our flight, we were not certain we would fly. However, after waiting out the wind, the team of pilots ultimately determined that the conditions were acceptable and they quickly inflated the balloons for us to board and depart. Seeing the gorge from the balloon flying just feet from the water and, passing over the "Middle-Falls" so close you felt you could almost touch it, is an experience that will never be forgotten. As we continued our flight, the pilot steered the balloon to allow optimal views for both ends of the basket. Everyone (ours had 7 passengers) had ample opportunity to see the sights along the flight. Ultimately, we set down in a field that was clearly familiar to Liberty Balloon Company as the recovery team was in place waiting to grab ropes and haul us in. The Recovery crew (which apparently included Super-Girl) did a fantastic job of getting us safely stabilized and out of the basket. They quickly had the balloon reeled up (we got to assist in this process, another fun part of the whole experience) and we were too soon headed back to our launch point. The launch site in Letchworth Park is absolutely spectacular. You do have to pay to enter the park, but if you give yourself time to explore its worth it. The pilot (Lee) and his crew were amazing and passionate about their craft and creating amemorable experience. The whole process from beginning to the end of the flight was explained before they even inflated the balloon and then at each step along the way. We were awestruck the entire flight with the amazing views of the gorge, falls, bridge, farms and overall scenery. Off in the distance were the skylines of Rochester and Buffalo. At some points even make out Toronto and Lake Erie. It's a bit pricey, but the experience was worth it. If the opportunity arises again, I would definitely go again. Note: keep in mind that balloon flights are VERY weather dependent i.e. 7+ MPH wind may cancel the flight. Safety really is thier top priority. It took us a couple calls to get off the ground. read more

Liberty Balloon-Balloons over Letchworh Park: September 10, 2022 It's a joy passing out outstanding reviews, so here goes.... My wife Kay and I along with two lifelong friends had one of those worthy bucket list experiences as we soared up and away in a beautiful yellow balloon above Letchworth State Park in New York State this past Thursday. Weather was 75 degrees, sun and clouds, 4 MPH wind speed. Trip was provided by Liberty Balloon-Balloons over Letchwork Park and a outstanding fun time had by all. The evening was a few hours from start to finish (an hour in the air). Suggest you give it a try. It will not disappoint. It's an AWESOME experience that we are still talking about days later.. I gave my college graduate niece a present of a Balloons Over Letchworth hot air ballon ride on 7/6/22. It was a beautiful warm evening and, although we had a late start, our trip was amazing and beautiful! The pilot, Lee, was so knowledgeable about the area as we floated over incredible landscape.
