Race track directly across the street running until 11pm. So loud we could not stay outside and even inside the RV was too loud to sleep. No warning from the owners. Nothing.

Not bad, not spectacular. The folks who do come here adore it and many have standing spots…read moreyearround with built out sections like porches or add-ons extending off their trailers. One might call it the poor man's lakehouse. The majority of the campground area is surrounded by trees so the sites are more dirt and rocks than grassy (bring an air mattress!). It's also along a creek so your site may not be too far from a lovely rolling stream -- a great spot to set up for the day with your beach chairs and a ice cold brew. I highly recommend a walk up the gorge. Bring water shoes or sandals with straps because you do end up in the water and your sneakers would end up soaked for the whole stay. The falls are beautiful and a great spot to cool off in the water. There's a rope that's been tied up to a few trees so you can scale the gorge up to the top of the falls. You can have day visitors - cost is $5 per vehicle. The sites overall are a little bit pricier compared to State Park sites (nearly double the price) likely because it's a private campground. There's a store at the entrance of the site where you can grab necessary amenities like papertowels, lighter fluid, garbage bags, etc. I probably won't be back for my own personal camping expeditions, but will join our crew again since this is where they've been going for years.

Luxury Cabin Review!…read more We stayed 2 nights in cabin 23A, June 13-15. We were taking a road trip (from Indiana) and during our research came across Letchworth State Park. We really wanted to spend some time hiking there so we set out to find a place to stay. We searched for AirBnB's and hotels, but couldn't really find what we were looking for, then came across Woodstream. We have active boys and this was prefect for our family. The cabin was even better than the website pictures. It had 2 AC units and they cooled very quickly. Our boys loved the bunkbeds with privacy curtain and built in nooks, lights and outlets. They even had their own windows! That was such a fun space for them. We did do some limited cooking and it was equipped with everything we needed. We stopped for s'more supplies on the way there and realized we didn't pack our sticks. We were pleasantly supplies that the cabin had them! There was storage for our luggage and bags under the beds as well as cubby space. The fire ring was so cute and we all loved lounging in the adorondak chairs around the fire. My boys loved playing in the creek. We were too busy at Letchworth and our own site to try out the golf course and pool, but when we checked in there were many people enjoying both. We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!

We won't be returning since we have two children 11 and 13, who couldn't find much to do. There is a basketball court, peddle bikes, canoes, paddle boats and a little playground (no swings). The "beach" was a little area of sand with a tiny area to swim in the pond. Maybe the "kitchen" opens on the weekends but there was nothing during the week. The little store has a few candy items and odds and ends. My husband confused this with another location that has a pool and Gaga pit -something needed if taking kids. The place seems clean and the one staff member that I saw was very friendly. Seasonal campers seemed nice as well. This place is dog friendly!

We were able to see the medium and smaller waterfalls and I was blown away by how beautiful it was. There are incredible views everywhere you turn with tons of photo spots and scenic overlooks. The trails are really well maintained and were a good easy hike. I also love how much there is to do here beyond just hiking. There are biking trails, horseback riding, and even skiing in the winter. It feels like a park you could come back to in every season and have a completely different experience. There is also a welcome center with a small gift shop and a nature center. You could easily spend a whole day here. I loved it!

This park is great in every season, and we are lucky to have it here. Most people show up for the waterfalls and the views of the gorge. They deserve the hype. The scenery alone is worth the price of admission and a solid chunk of your day. If you stop there, you are missing out. Dig deeper. Come in the winter and see the ice volcano. It feels like something too cool for WNY. Stop by during the hot air balloon festival in the summer and watch the sky fill with color over the gorge. Get off the rim trail and explore the trails that go through the woods. Make time for the less populated side of the park. Fewer people, more natural trails, and no admission fee. It has a completely different vibe and is perfect if you want something a little more peaceful.

The campground is wide open with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are kept immaculate and it is so quite and peaceful even though it's not very private. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the host was around even day checking on things. She was wonderful! We loved our stay and our campsite. Can't wait to be back!

If you want some good old fashioned car tourism, where you drive, and then see an incredible vista, this place is also for you. I'd love to go back.

First the good stuff. beautiful park. well maintained with lots of nice hiking trails. Easy…read moreaccess to the upper and middle falls (by car) with a hike to the lower falls. We were there during the week so not as crowded as it probably is on the weekend. So day trips are highly recommended. The bad: we camped overnight. it was a two night minimum but at 30$ a night did not break the bank. the facilities are old and pretty beat up. still works but needing replaced. there are camping area's for pets and for those without. There is no cell reception. again, not a deal breaker but good to know ahead of time. camp sites are close but not on top of each other. For campers who need to do dishes but do not have a sink it is forbidden to do them in the bathroom. no camp sinks are provided. just had to wipe them out and wash them at our next campsite. As I said above, great for a day visit not sure i would stay overnight again. a solid 4 stars for day trips but only 3 for overnight camping.

My daughter's high school graduation party was ruined because of the staff at the Ontario County…read morePark at Gannett Hill! I rented an enclosed pavilion for her graduation party in October of last year. The party was planned for Sunday, June 28th. We called Ontario County Park the week before the party several times and left several messages to see if we could decorate Saturday night and then her party was Sunday. No one returned our calls. My 17 year old daughter started decorating Sunday morning at 8:30 am. At 10 am a group of woman from Buffalo showed up at our pavilion and said they also rented the pavilion for Sunday. Our only communication with this establishment was their scheduling calendar. My daughter checked this calendar daily worried that her perfect day may be ruined. Up until Friday morning before the party, the calendar said we were renting the correct pavilion on Sunday. After the woman told my daughter that we were double booked, my daughter checked the calendar and it now said we were renting the pavilion Saturday and these woman were renting it Sunday. Someone messed up and moved us on the calendar at some point Friday or Saturday. The grounds guy and his "boss" told us that we needed to leave or they were going to call the police and have us arrested for trespassing. They told my 17 year old her mom was going to be arrested. My daughter asked the staff why no one had returned our calls all week and the "boss" told my 17 year old daughter " she should have walked her happy little a$$ around the park to find him". This is unacceptable! The police showed up and we were packed up and leaving. Now we then had 2 hours to rent tables and chairs and contact people that the party was moved. We were only able to reach about 50 people out of 100 who were invited. I am a Naples tax payer and I think if they messed up and double booked us I should have had dibs over the park in Naples instead of a group of woman from Buffalo! I spoke to a gentleman who overseas the staff and he apologized and was going to call me back. He has not called me back in almost 2 weeks. My daughter and I have not been refunded our $175 we spent on the pavilion and cabin for the weekend. Do not plan your special events at this park. It is heartbreaking to see your child's day ruined when there were plenty of things they could have done differently!
