I called in for a Suv battery used 800 on up on cranking amps I asked if they had they said yes over the phone. When I arrived the women was selling a used battery with no stickers to confirm the amps and she told me three different amps on the same battery. I bought this to her attention and she told me to go somewhere else and she refused to show me a reading of the volts and amps. I went to another shop out of my way and they gave great service and a better price and they showed me the full reading of the Volts and amps. NONREFUNDABLE IF YOU PAY WITH CASH and I had to replace it again because I had to drive it out of state. while liberty is ok for used batteries short length of time for older model cars their new batteries for newer model cars are terrible. I purchased one about a year ago 100.00 for my car and twice within the year when i took it to the dealer for oil changes the battery test they performed showed that it's not giving a sufficient amount of power for the car. Of course the i took it back to liberty they said it worked just fine. this time i went to walmart and payed 10 dollars more for a brand new battery and i immediately noticed the difference. Liberty has always been there with new or rebuilt batteries when I was low on cash. If I got a bad one from them, they were always quick to replace it. ALWAYS keep your receipt! This is the worse and most unethical car servicing place in the history of car servicing centers in all of California. Not only did they misquote on the price of repairs, but then the kept the car for almost three weeks and on two different occasions stated that additional work was needed. It was not until I went to the dealer and they confirmed that the part that was suppose to be fixed was never even fixed. So, essentially, they charged for doing unnecessary work that was not even associated to the root of the problem. They have caused me and my entire family stress due to lack of transportation and having to pay money that we already didn't have. I am disheartened that business of this nature can remain that lack integrity and consumer consideration. Please trust that this is a real experience and that the good ratings on here are biased. If I could give 0 stars I would. My dad bought a battery from here for $80, which has totally failed to work. He attempted to exchange it and they said that the battery is the wrong one that is on the receipt. Then they go on to call him a liar and a cheat. These people are very rude, very unprofessional and have caused my father's blood pressure to go very have. They threatened to call the cops if he didn't leave. I've bought a total of 3 batteries from this shop. The batteries pretty much will fail after the warranty and the price is fair for that ($40). The reason my rating is so low is due to the fact that the recent battery I purchased is faulty. I went to exchange it and the owner was convinced that the issues were not due to their battery. The car just shuts off while operating (obviously dangerous!). I passed a CA smog literally the day prior and regularly tune my car up and this never happened until I replaced a previously failing battery (that I bought a year prior from this shop). She would not exchange it even though there was also another customer there with the exact same issue with their battery. She was really nice but defective batteries that cause cars to shut down in the street is dangerous and even a partial refund or an exchange would have been better than pretending like the battery is not faulty. Took the loss and went to Walmart to get another battery for $45 (to replace the two week old bad one) and I haven't had an issue with my car shutting off. Just go to Walmart, at least the warranty will be honored. read more
