WORST MECHANIC I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I have been lied to my face about the quality and workmanship performed. It felt like I was always given the most expensive option to service or repair my jeeps needs. I will not ever do business with Lopez auto service again. This last repair is what's lead me to this review. I went in because I got a check engine light for what turned out to be my exhaust gas recirculation. I was immediately told that I need a whole new part. No cleaning or inspection was done, just that I need a NEW part. Bought an OEM PART myself and took it to Lopez. They replaced it and even after it was replaced the same check engine light notification would come on. I was told to take it back "every time" it comes on. After a few times I got my car looked at by another mechanic, a large rubber cap was purposely placed somewhere inside of the system. Which caused the check engine light to continuously appear. The large unidentified rubber cap did not belong. Felt like I was scammed so I may continue to spend unnecessary $ here at this mechanic. read more

Great price I took my 2006 SUV to Lopez Auto Service & Tire. It was giving off strong exhaust fumes, running rough and several other issues that I had ignored for a while. I was greeted by Ray who was very professional and patiently listened to all of my concerns. He suggested I leave my SUV and they would check it out thoroughly. What followed is what I believe makes this place an excellent choice. When we next spoke, not only was I shown what the problems were, (main issue was the exhaust manifold with a long crack (no wonder the fumes)) but I was provided with options without any pressure or fast-talk. We discussed in detail which were priorities and which could wait. The prices quoted were very reasonable, I made my choices and agreed to the work.. Kevin and Peter worked on my car. As the work progressed, I would receive texted explanations of the work being done, and pictures of parts removed and parts installed. I really appreciated that. They are very knowledgeable and did an excellent job, going beyond what I expected in terms of quality and efficiency. When I picked up my car, all the work done was reviewed with me, there were no surprises nor confusion. All upfront and honest work. When I drove away, I was extremely pleased with the performance, it actually drove like new! I am very happy with this experience and with everyone I communicated with. Quick and Excellent service. They have friendly staff, and I purchased my tires from Lopez and the price was very reasonable and fast.

$20 to patch a tire obvious ripoff but quick and easy so if you're stuck in the area I guess you have a choice here

If I could give them 0 stars I would , first and foremost they take all day to give you a price and then give you the highest price possible , I took my car to get the light fixed they said 290 to take the bumper off plus whatever is making the light not work , I picked my car up and took it around the corner $80 to take the bumper off , do not come here at alll !!!!!! I absolutely love this place. This is my go to mechanic for everything from oil changes, tire service, and mechanical repairs. Today I went there early due to an emergency I had with my driver side window not being able to roll up. The mechanic let me know about the diagnostic costs and that he would get my car seen as soon as possible. They were even able to give me a ride back to my place and picked me up once my car was done. Extremely excellent and friendly customer service. 10 out of 10. The work they have done on my car for the past few years has been impeccable and their prices are very reasonable. The same mechanic even did a further inspection of my car and suggested a few things that I get looked at in the near future. I will definitely be back soon for further servicing. I asked to have my ac system vacuumed out and re- pressurized, initially the guy who answered said it isn't something they would touch because it's already had a lot of work done to the ac system. I had the worst experience with purchasing brad new tired for my Yukon. When they first swap my new tires with my rims they had 10 year olds doing it. My truck shakes, and my rims started to fall off. So we brought the truck back and had the owner ride my truck and he did notice my truck shakes so he submitted a new order to Yokohama to replace the new set. When we received the new tires we ended up paying an additional 100 to balance the tires and not even the balance fixed the shakes. In top of that my rim fell off and took him two months to give us a check to purchase new rims for one tire. Almost a year later we lost another rim. Worst mistake to go there. We never had any issues with the wheels and shakes until we went there read more

One chubby mechanic furiously shouted at me when I drove into their very small autoshop that I need to drive in quickly coz the car is behind me, but then blamed me that I need to watch out their gate when I entered. That's ridiculous to yell at a customer like that and he doesn't know what's respect? The rudest and unprofessional mechanic I have ever seen. They should have opened up their entrance gate more due to their limited condition. Another mechanic is more polite and helpful to take a look at my car's problem. But still, I will never go back to the small shop to fix my car if someone likes that disrespectful guy working there. He might be racist too. Left me with such the worst experience. read more

Drove in due to a spike on my tire. 15 minutes, I was driving out of the shop! The owner was there to look after the job and write up the bill, $10! I've been to other places and they would charge me $15 or even $20 for the same work. This place is fast, professional, courteous, and cheap. This is what businesses should be, straightforward and no nonsense. I was just compelled to write about this because my experience here has made me a future customer. Keep up the good job guys! By the way, if you bring your rotors in, they charge you $8 per disc to rotate it. Layman term: shave a bit off the brake rotors to smooth it out. If you go to PEP Boys, they will charge you $15 per disc, and only $10 if you buy the pads from them. Is this easy to figure out or what? read more
