Had this company install hardwood flooring and baseboards in my home. Upon completion they added…read moretheir "standard" retail markup to the final bill for materials they purchased for the job. Standard retail markups in the construction industry range from 10-20%. Total cost to them was $1,608.8 and I was charged $2,293.92. They added 43%!! Aside from their ridiculous markup percentage, what's upsetting is that I couldn't find any mention of an up-charge on the initial contract. I called the store to understand why I was being charged a 43% retail markup and also walk through the contract to find the additional charges listed somewhere. I spoke with Adrian the store manager - he was extremely dismissive and rude. Not only did he not know how to properly calculate retail mark up but he in fact agreed that any mark ups that their company chooses to charge their customers do not have to be in the contract stating: "we don't have to disclose our business practices." How convenient.. It's very unethical and poor business practices to charge customers undisclosed markups on materials. I hope that anyone deciding whether or not to work with this company considers this review.

( I want to say, His Son Adam jr. has his own company performing Heating, Air, Hvac, and gas plumbing, and he has good work ethic, tools, fair pricing, gets it done...) Adam the "Elder" will supply minimal work, shoddy materials, or push them back onto you, when it was supposed to be inclusive...He will delay doing work repeatedly, every possible excuse...he has no crew really of his own, and no tools, can't rent tools from at least one company here...When he does show up it is for a minimal amount of time (and late, and don't leave him to it so you can get your own tasks done, he will leave right away...) Wednesday and Thursday he might work, then be missing another two weeks... I had to call him every day... Shame him... He will take tens of thousands of dollars from you and give you nothing, or very shoddy unfinished work that will take hiring another worker to finish or do over... and workers he sends will quit soon for not getting paid...its just lose, lose, lose.
