We get back to the car to round everyone up and the owner drives up and says hope she is not going. At that moment he says he's not letting her go and it's his business. It felt like a total power trip in the way he spoke to myself and my husband. We let him know his employee had no problem taking our money. "It's my business and I say what goes". The female owner is extremely rude and unprofessional during any interactions. She lacks integrity. Concerns are met with aggression and focused on explanations about the challenges of running the business or references to her background and misunderstanding of her rather than meaningful customer service. Professional communication and customer relations could certainly be improved. The campground itself appears poorly maintained. The grounds are unkempt, the grass is often not mowed, and basic cleanliness and upkeep are lacking. The office is rarely open, making it difficult to get assistance when needed. It's disappointing to see the condition of a campground that was once a beautiful and well-cared-for destination. Long-time visitors will likely notice a significant decline.
