But, that is common in riverside campgrounds. What was not common and the reason for two stars was the lack of porta potties for a camp area that had over 100 people. Absolutely unsanitary and smelly. I can't use a potty where the feces and paper is mounded so high it nearly touches me from the bottom. And the smell permeated the campground near the potties. We had flies too. We were all happy to go. Supposedly the 3rd potty didn't show-then rent one people. Or have the service switch out the ones there mid weekend. You should not put your guests through those conditions.

We drive down these windy skinny backroads and finally get to your destination. The staff helps you park and tells you to go to the office for your appointment. In the parking lot there are port a potties as well as changing rooms. Get yourself situated and head to the office for orientation. Make sure you apply a good amount of sun block. After the safety talk you get on a bus and head to the river. The bus was nice and bumpy and just the start of the adventure. When the bus parks you get your tubes and get into the river. There was a State Trooper sitting at the beginning so make sure you are following all the rules. You need to climb down a steep river bank and then get into the river. Make sure you are wearing water shoes. Plan on the adventure being a few hours long. The river wasn't too high so the water didn't move too fast. If we didn't stop it would have been about 2 hours long. Bring a lunch and hang out at the beach midway to extend your day. Get yourself a cooler tube. Bring a good size cooler. Look at the pictures. The one I brought was a little small. When we were looking for beers it was a little difficult because I had to more the food to get to them. It is tough to do when you are sitting in a tube.

First hiccup was check-in when the parking attendant couldn't find our reservations because she confused the first and last name of our reservation. We were frustrated trying to locate our reservation confirmation with spotty cell service and calling a similarly named company to confirm we were at the right location. She was apologetic after the mistake but didn't provide much direction after our waivers were signed. We walked to the building to confirm our reservation again and had to request life jackets for the children in our group. Life jackets are provided free of cost. We waited for other groups to gather for a brief instruction which included information on an island that can be stopped at, some points of reference for the tube float and instructions for exiting/ time to return by. The gentleman instructing was kind and personable. Transportation is provided upriver. The bus left after confirming everyone had a tube with no further instruction and no staff stationed at the entry point. We had no instruction that there was a basket with rope at the side to rope tubes together. This was pointed out to us by others tubers that were present. We spent the extra $10 for a 'cooler tube' which was a regular tube with two pieces of rope tied on to form an X in the center. We had to add ropes to our cooler tube to ensure our backpack cooler stayed in the tube. The entry point was nothing more than a step sandy path directly into the river. Shoes are required and a necessity as the depth varied and there were a lot of large rocks/ fallen trees that were difficult to see underwater. Once settled we joined many others on the river as it was a hot July day. The float was enjoyable for the most part although one of the ropes that I used to attach my son's tube to mine broke (not came untied) in the river which was frustrating. We opted not to stop at any islands and there was no signage for our float other than where to exit. The exit itself had some small rapids and I felt that the current picked up close to exiting. There were staff at the exit but they offered to cut ropes and take tubes to shore not to offer any assistance to those exiting. Again the depth fluctuated and there were large submerged rocks at the exit which were difficult to see/ navigate underwater. While this was my first time tubing, I have canoed and kayaked (in another state) before and was not as pleased with this experience as I have been with prior river rental experiences.

The tour was guileless, but you're told which way you need to go through different splits and are provided a water proof map. It was such a great time. There are small rapids you'll go through, it's so much fun. If you don't know how to kayak they'll give you a run down, don't worry! You're provided with life jacket, a dry bag and box for you're belongings, and of course, your kayak and paddle. Make sure you bring water and a hat. Oh, and your sense of adventure! We loved viewing the 300 sheer cliff walls and watching all the ducks and geese. It was genuinely such a wonderful time. If we're ever back in the area, we're definitely coming back and kayaking again.

Great setup if you're interested in tubing without all the hassle that other tubing businesses…read morerequire such as safety classes or life jackets, etc. $ cash to park, but accepts credit cards/debit cards to pay for tubing. Reasonable prices to tube and they offer a tube for cooler's. They have a small store where you can buy soda's, ice cream, and snacks. You can leave your cooler at the landing spot and they have grills set up there where they'll provide the charcoal and light the grill for you. Park, pay the tubing fee, take your receipt to pick up your tube's. They'll hold your driver's license and you can hang your keys at the gate. The River is clean and clear! It can take a good hour to get down to the landing spot or you can hang out in the river and relax. There's two landing spots. The first one is before the small rapids and that's where the grills are located. The second landing is shortly after the rapids. If you get out after the rapids you'll have to walk a short distance to the first landing where you can enjoy a picnic or grill out before boarding the buses to return to home base. Staff are professional and friendly! There's two bathrooms and a shower at home base where you can cleanup or change clothes. I've been three times and I've enjoyed each time. When the River is low the water depth is up to your knee in most place's and can go up to your waist in a few places. The depth of the River after the rapids is what I'd say requires swimming in some areas. If you can't swim or aren't wearing a life jacket I wouldn't go down the rapids. Their season goes until the end of September and during September they're only open on the weekends. They open at 10:00 a.m.

The staff had a lot going on guiding and checking in groups to their resort and getting ready for their Oktoberfest party they were hosting, they absolutely had all justification to turn us away but they didn't! They gave us a time frame to show up and they totally delivered and that's what earned them 5 stars). They were already guiding a group through so we just tagged along at the back end. The whole experience is pretty entertaining, they had the group working together (some were helping catch the person zipping, some helping un-harness, some helping move a platform used to get folks off the line), it was a pretty clever system and it helped move things along quickly and keep people involved. Anyways, my husband and I were debating all week wondering if it would be worth it ($25 for one ride) and the answer is... YES! 900 feet long, you end up going about 45 mph, and it's not a gradual 45. Once you step off the platform you drop pretty quick! People weighing 60-250lbs can ride and the guides are great about safety but flexibility. It doesn't take an incredibly long time (we got done in an hour and only because we waited for the group to finish) but it may be different for others. Overall, I was so happy we went and that the staff let us come. The staff was awesome, the line was fun, the pricing fair.

The equipment provided was in excellent condition and we easily established a team spirit among the zip liners. If you are up for the experience, be fit enough to hike up to the top of the platform while carrying your substantial harness that weighs about 10 pounds (at least that's what it felt like). There are also many other activities available beyond hiking. I highly recommend this facility and am anxious to return for another zip line adventure!

They are a Motorsport camp, so all things car related, perfect for my 12 year old who is obsessed with cars. They also host an Astro camp for those whose interest is space. While my son was there they did tons of driving on and off road, built rockets and launched them, did star gazing with the telescopes they have there, learned car mechanics, and so much more, including regular camp stuff: bonfires, swimming, sports, etc. Another pro was the ban of electronics; no iPads, video games, phones, etc. They keep the kids so busy, they won't miss them. One nice touch was the Thank You card they had the kids write home to parents. A courtesy I have always had my son perform, a good lesson in gratitude. Everyone working there was very personable, kind and helpful. They posted photos of the days activities each night. Any email to camp staff, both leading up to and during camp, was always responded to in a timely manner. This camp was perfect for my kid. He really thrived here. I was nervous, it being his first sleepaway experience, but he had no problems whatsoever and made friends easily with other campers. He's already looking forward next year. I may have to stowaway in his suitcase so I can go too!
