Simply excellent work. I generally do yardwork myself, but I decided to give them a shot. They got…read moreme a quote extremely quickly. It was very reasonable. The work was executed in what seems like no time at all and done to a level of quality that was well beyond my expectations. Even better than that I now don't have to do this again myself since I will be using them again. All associates I dealt with from invoicing staff at the office to the installers and even the owner. Bobby was exceptional. They did the cleanup of my yard edging of my islands and mulching amongst other miscellaneous things. Thank you !!

I must warn against Sunnyside Gardens in Byram. The owners, Bob and Scott are awful business people…read moreand horrid at customer service. I had topsoil delivered and asked for some to be dumped on my lawn and some in my backyard. As the driver backed into the yard that Thursday, he reiterated that is what he was to do. I confirmed at his driver side window as he backed up. He then went on to dump the whole load in my yard within the next two minutes. When he got out of the vehicle, he said, "Oops, I forgot you needed some in the front yard." So, I had more topsoil delivered the following Monday. Some to be placed in the front, some in the back. I got home Tuesday from being out of town, and saw the pile on my lawn as I pulled up to my home. "Good", I thought, "they got it right." I unpacked my car and went around to the rear of my home and saw MY BRAND NEW AC UNIT HAD BEEN RUNOVER. The driver, Mike, had PLENTY of room to maneuver and not come anywhere close to it. I had 6 trucks previously deliver dirt and not a one came close to my AC. I called immediately, and was told the owner, Scott, would call me back right away. No call came. Since they would be closing shortly, I called about an hour later. Again, no call. The next morning, Scott came by with Mike, unannounced, to look at the damage. The driver admitted to hitting my air conditioner. He said he "tapped it". No, he CREAMED it. Cracked the pallet, pushed the whole unit askew, and dented it. I did not know if there was internal damage or not, and I told Scott this. He promised he would make everything right, and for me to talk to my HVAC guy (duh). I did and Devin from CLIMAX COOL awaited Scott's phone call. It never came, see the texts below. At some point I spoke with Bob, the brother and co-owner. He noted he got a new phone and did not receive my texts. Why would SCOTT'S phone, all of a sudden be BOB'S phone? And no matter, they should have been trying to contact ME if they cared about the situation and customer relations. I finally went to Sunnyside in person and met with Bob. He noted, "I AM NOT IN THE MOOD TODAY", when he found out who I was and why I was there (to get my unit back to its original status). Guess what? I'm not in the mood your driver hit my home and you aren't doing anything about it. He offered he was going to call the cops to settle everything. I noted I was disappointed after 3 weeks I had to come and see him, he and his brother were not PROACTIVE and NEVER called the tech like they both said they would. He angrily, like I was bothering him, called on the tech on the spot. Awaiting to see what happens. Please know, I said several times to each, "I just want this rectified, and I want to use you again in the future." When I was on premises, and was returning to my car, he yelled, "And your business? I don't want it." You're not getting it, so no worries, buddy. Also, Mike and Scott pulled in while I was there. Noting this because, if a driver can't make clearance on the side of a home to deliver, they should not be behind the wheel of heavy equipment. OWNERS OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT ARE RUDE, LIARS, AND DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. On the other hand, I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE EXCELLENT STELLAR SERVICE OF CLIMAX HVAC OUT OF SUCCASUNNA AND DEVIN AND HIS CREW!

Donaldson's Greenhouse & Nursery - "Ten inches of topsoil" Not

I've always bought my plants from Donaldson's, so when we needed landscaping, I went to them. After…read moreleaving my number several times over a two year period, I met a nice lady there who spoke to the girl and they actually called. When getting an estimate, I clearly stated that I wanted low maintenance shrubs and that I wanted the clay removed and that I wanted room to be able to plant flowers. I was told 10" of topsoil would be sufficient. While there may be 10" in some spots, there mostly isn't. I can't plant marigolds without removing clay and putting in purchased potting soil. I bought a drill and auger for planting bulbs....the drill hand up, because it hits clay. Furthermore, the guys showed up a day early while I was digging up @50 lilies in full bloom. Dave said to just leave them and they would set them aside for me. When I got back, there were no lilies. He apologized and said they forgot and to stop but the following spring and he would replace them. When I went back in the spring, he said "I don't remember that." No integrity. I have to say, they did a nice job on the walkway. However, when I asked if we should do the front steps first, he said no... that it would be easy to remove a couple of paving stones and put them back. When we had someone out to look at the steps, they said it would be a lot more expensive to do so. After they put the rhododendrons in, I drove over to their facility and asked if they needed to be fenced for winter. I was told no. The deer decimated them. Out of 4, we had to remove 3. One (now fenced) is trying to come back. The other bushes/trees are too close together. And removing some will leave weird gaps. So far, eight bushes/plants have died. There was also to be a planting area with topsoil around the septic posts. It first he did three little circles. When I said I wanted the whole area plantable, he extended it. However, it has never been plantable because there was about an inch of topsoil over rocks.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Donaldson's Greenhouse & Nursery! Everyone who works here is a delight…read morebut I must speak to Denise who is literally the sunshine of my life ever since I met her. I had little to no knowledge on gardening prior to my first visit and Denise has been so patient and so kind teaching me many many things. I love her classes - and can't wait for the one she has this coming September. We make these gorgeous seasonal centerpieces which I can plant right in my garden as well. When my lemon tree was not thriving, she nursed it back to health for me because she is the mother of all plants. There is no other place like Donaldson's and what makes it the most special is the sunflower of the nursery and that is Denise. I am so happy I found them and I look forward to going just so I can see Denise's smile.
