We filed a complaint with the Virginia Board of Accountancy and were informed that an audit was expected to take place at the end of last year. We have not received any updates on the outcome. We also hired an attorney, at our own expense, to formally present our concerns to Sareene Tax and Associates in an effort to seek reimbursement. They stated that no mistakes were made and have not reimbursed us for any of the expenses we incurred. In our view, the errors were clear, and resolving this situation was both stressful and costly. For these reasons, we cannot recommend this firm.

I am not happy with this location. Christina did a great job processing my return super quick, but…read moreas a result of her rushing through my return to see if I was approved for the loan, she left off my 3 children and only included 1 child. I asked her multiple times if she got all of my children, I even confirmed all of their social and birth certificates were uploaded so she could see them ahead of time. She confirmed she received everything. Even after that, she still did not include them and now I have to do an amendment which is going to take forever. This should not have happened. Tax preparers should take their time to ensure all fields were filled in correctly and she did not. Even when it went through their review, they still did not catch up. I will be filing a BBB complaint as a result of this careless error. The IRS is extremely behind in processing amendments! I hope I am not chosen for audit because of these errors. The Branch manager then took ownership but claimed I raised my voice and that she was trying to be "patient" with me. First of all, do not show your privilege attitude onto me. I never once raised my voice at her. Was my stern? Yes, it was. I have never disrespected anyone. I have a right to be upset. She kept cutting me off and I was patient with her the entire time but now she wants to accuse me of raising my voice at her. Are you serious?
