This is a beautiful space where people go to recover, rehabilitate, and restore their dignity and their lives. My 69 year old mother was a patient here and when she arrived doctors could arguably confirm she should be going into hospice, but we believed in God for her recovery - thankfully the owner Jim believed she could recover also. When she arrived she could not speak, feed herself well, and was physically weak all over. I was SO anxious to leave her in this state, but was immediately assured by staff that she was in good hands, and that she was safe. They nurtured her as if she were their family and I knew then even more that we chose the correct location. Within weeks she saw an eye doctor, physical therapist, speech therapist and occupational therapist. She participated in multiple types of activities (finger painting, gardening, celebrating birthdays, and her favorite - bingo!). After a month my mom graduated from puréed foods to a better diet, could feed herself, had less confusion, and was improving every single day. I am now happy to report she is even stronger, mind is sharper, speech is amazing, and can tackle occupational tasks that this facility assisted her to accomplish. It is the little things that we do every single day that we don't realize we miss until we don't have them. When we find ourselves in this place we need somewhere to go to recover - this is your place! The owner (Jim) will acknowledge you, spend time to speak with you, and the way he looks after his employees and is always upgrading the space shows deeply how much he cares. In my moms time there, they completed a beautiful remodel. Not once did this facility wreak of any smell. Jim - as I write this tears fill my eyes. I am SO thankful to God for your work! I am thankful for your spirit, and for showing up as your true authentic self! To ALL of the staff of Richmond Post Acute - you are all SO valued! You are all SO amazing! He was pompous and full of himself and put a bad taste in my mouth. It didn't take me long to decide this wasn't a good fit for mom. The place looked cleaned and the workers seemed nice. Most rooms appeared very small though with three beds to a room; not okay in my mind even for a short stay. Do your homework and hopefully, you'll have a different experience considering this place appealed to me as it was close to home and had good reviews. Tours are everything!

I also saw Alicia after giving birth and she again checked my pelvic floor and gave me exercises to do to help strengthen both my pelvic floor and abdomen. I have gone through multiple PTs and am highly selective with whom I work with. Karen is the real deal. If I have future injuries, I know to see her because I know Ill get the best care I can get. She works with all kinds of people, and everyone in my family has loved their sessions with her. Her work is something of a middle-ground between massage and chiropractic work, so she focuses on realigning the body and using unobtrusive means to get everything in place. My mom sees Lorilee to address chronic back pain and foot problems, but I usually have my sessions focus on small problems or discomforts, or just to feel especially good. I keep returning to Lorilee because she is an incredible person and easy to talk to. Seriously: this woman has some amazing stories and life experiences. She is always accommodating with doing her body work in a way that makes me feel comfortable, and it's never painful like chiropractic work can sometimes be. I have been more than satisfied with Christel Clear and intend to keep getting body work done every time I'm home.
