We were in for a…read morehuge treat, as the sisters in attendance spoke fluid French, Spanish and English amongst other languages. This beautiful Catholic gift and supply store in the lower town of old quebec is run by the Nun's from the Monistary of the Magnificat. It features hand painted statues and figurines, books, rosaries, paintings, calendars, magazines, kids books and more. Most of everything is handmade by the nuns. They were very kind and took relish to show us their own printed books, hand made rosaries and hand made and painted religious icons. They had a vast collection of prayers and I was able to find the rosary of archangel st. Michael. They are a non for profit charity and this order has schools all over the world. Their works are vast and their pious deeds are depicted in their annual calendars, which is their only fundraiser. They took time to talk to my son and gifted him a medal he wished to purchase. I recommend this store to any catholic traveling through Quebec City. A true gem.

Quebec City is a nice half-day trip. We took the bus from Montreal and left in the evening. In…read moretotal we were in QC from 11am to 6:30pm, where we actually had 4 hours "left to kill." We sat at the park for two hours. The last two hours we decide to walk all the way to Fanamanga for a bubble tea! Because why not! The bubble teas are VERY sweet and all made with powder. They mix and mix and mix all the artificial flavours together to make the new craft, but they do this with love. The staff here are very kind. I do enjoy this little shop with shelves and shelves manga (en Français), the complete Sailor Moon series en Français, a shine of Totoro in its fluffy big size, a wall of Japanese snacks, and clothes!! And a washroom. It's a very nice place to hang for an hour! With a nice April breeze flying in. Peaceful and quiet. The customers who visit here are very kind also.

They also have a lovely performance space upstairs, brick and chairs with a little bar. Great heart, lots of light in the bookstores and well located in the busy area, definitely worth supporting!

J'ai partagé un peu de mon palmier avec lui et il a semblé apprécier. Je ne pense pas que ce soit son premier. Après mon expresso, je suis retourné et j'ai trouvé de merveilleux souvenirs, notamment des t-shirts, des sweats à capuche, des vestes et il y avait tellement d'articles pour la maison que je voulais mais que je savais qu'ils ne rentreraient pas dans ma valise. Pourtant, j'ai aussi acheté un magnifique livre pour enfants "Dorianne et Edgar sauvent Noel à l'île d'Orléans" de l'auteure locale Martine Patoine et c'est ravissant. Je n'avais pas réalisé que la copie m'avait posé un problème et, par chance, j'étais garée juste à côté de l'auteur et son mari et son adorable chien m'en ont donné une toute nouvelle parfaite de leur voiture. Une boutique délicieuse, une tarte aux pommes et un café merveilleux et plein de bonnes choses à l'intérieur! ***** I heard from a few people that the apple pie here was wonderful, so after lunch I stopped in for an apple pie with caramel sauce and espresso. The playhouse and patio are so cute and quaint, a wonderful place to grab a snack. I was joined by a handsome rooster - a little cheeky but polite... I shared some of my palmier with him and he seemed to appreciate it. I don't think this was his first. After my espresso I went back and found some wonderful souvenirs including t-shirts, hoodies, jackets and there were so many home items that I wanted but knew they wouldn't fit in my suitcase. However, I also bought a wonderful children's book "Dorianne and Edgar save Noel on the Island of Orleans" by local author Martine Patoine and it is delightful. I didn't realize I had a problem with the copy and luckily I was parked right next to the author and her husband and adorable dog gave me a perfect brand new one from their car . How lucky! A delicious apple pie and coffee, a wonderful apple pie and coffee, a wonderful shop and lots of goodies inside!

Mais les temps plus especial sont nos repas aux Bluetière du Vire Crêpes. Tous les repas sont excellents, sois les crêpes plus sucre ou les œufs " Bene " avec les pommes de terres. It's ont une boutique et une pâtisseries pour apporter après aussi. Ils ont un beau endroit a l'extérieur ou on peut commander une sandwich du camion blue " stationer " au gazon.
