A pediatrician even recommended the FH location, so off I went to the closer, Ann Arbor location. For only $15 they will go through your hair carefully and see if you have the lil critters. I did not have them, so yay. If you do have them, they will treat you right away I believe. The price depends on the hair. A toddler was less, while some hair is $120-190 a head I believe. This makes sense bcs some ppl have very thick, curly hair that is more time consuming. Leila salon, they do leave a spot on the receipt for a tip. The only difficulty was too many vague, uncertain back and forths in order to make the Ann Arbor appt. I let the main number guy know it was going on too long and he promptly made the appt for me- why didn't that just happen in the first place? Luckily the timing was ideal (4-7 days) for me tho- bcs it's actually better to let the buggers grow a little in order to see them if you have them or so I was told. All in all, I think it's well worth it to go to the professionals and let them handle it!

The PA provided recommendation that was not clearly explained and didn't feel tailored to my son's situation. She was going on and on about what her brother used many years ago for hair loss, it was weird. Mind you my son is only 20. I had to specifically ask to speak with Dr. Singer who I made the appointment with. When he came in, he seemed to take a more thoughtful and thorough approach tailored for my son. However, he only spent less than a minute with us before quickly leaving the room. He did not clearly explain the final plan leaving us confused. He asked the nurse assistant to do cortisone shots and my son was very nervous and I asked her if she can better explain to him what this procedure entails. She was no help!!!! As a parent, I expected more time, communication, and direct involvement from the doctor, especailly being we CHOSE YOUR OFFICE and it was my sons first time there.
