After the visit and follow-up, we were billed $602.49, and I still have not received a clear explanation for why a scheduled wellness visit was billed/processed in a way that left us with significant deductible charges instead of being covered by insurance. They do not let you call the billing department, so I first emailed billing about the issue on April 22. After no response, I followed up on May 1. After still not receiving an answer, I emailed again on May 12 just asking them to acknowledge they were receiving my emails. They finally responded on May 13, saying the issue had been sent to upper management and resubmitted to insurance. I had to follow up again on June 2 before receiving another brief response. At no point did I receive a clear itemized explanation or a direct answer to my main question: why was a pre-scheduled 4-year wellness visit not billed as a preventive wellness visit? At this point, I am out this money unless I pursue formal legal options to recover it. And now I need to find a new pediatrician as I would be stupid to work with this people again.

I watched people who came in after us go in. Finally someone comes out to the lobby to tell me they don't have the vaccines we need in stock but were hoping the vaccines would come in while we were waiting. I gave them another chance. Second time they didn't have official approval to give a vaccine AFTER making us wait again. Never heard of calling someone to tell them this before dragging their child there??? 3rd time we waited forever only to be told they had just given their last vaccine to another patient and would call us when it came in. That was in June. It's September now and still no call. Needless to say we have found a new pediatrician.

Shelby gave me paperwork to fill out and to put on my dash by 8:56am. This man in a blue jacket met me at the front of the parking lot and driveway to guide me to where I needed to go for my PCR testing. My temperature is well under 98. Another woman came to collect my insurance and my ID card, while I filled out the paperwork. Filled out my paperwork by 9:05am. They have a lot of staff here. The same lad that took my ID came to collect my paperwork and to get back my ID. They told me to keep the pen, since it had been in my car. They take all precautions here and take the virus very seriously. They don't need a script here at all, no symptoms required either. My doctor had wanted to provide them with his script paperwork, so that they would provide the results to them directly. They can't and won't send to doctors at all before a procedure. I will have to pass it along myself. The nasal swab today was much more invasive than the first time I had it done. It was shoved it up so far and that it made my eyes flood with tears, that's way up there for sure. Quick and efficient service here for sure. Would get it done here anytime required again.

The first thing that impressed me was the separate waiting rooms - one for sick kids and one for well kids - genius! The front line staff has always been welcoming, courteous and helpful. The nurses are very kid-friendly and incredibly knowledgeable! I have called the nurse line so many times over the years and feel like I have always received professional and reliable counsel, wether it is to bring my kids in to be seen (we are almost always able to get in same day which is a HUGE plus!) or a recommendation to try an OTC medicine first (appreciate not dragging my kid in if it's not necessary!!), or even an assurance that I was managing a sickness appropriately. I even appreciate the billing staff who, because of inadequate insurance for a time and a very sick child, I got to know early on, always handled our situation with kindness and compassion! All of this is, IMHO, exceptional compared to our previous experiences with two other practices, but, of course, wouldn't even matter if the doctors weren't absolutely top-notch medical professionals! Their expertise and dedication, apparent to me in every interaction, is what continues to make me confident in recommending Northeast Pediatric, and also why they are getting all five stars! (Shout out to Dr. Earles and Dr. Antone, who are the doctors we usually see). No practice is perfect, so as for negatives, sometimes the wait time to see the doctor can be a little long, especially if you've called for a same day appointment and they are fitting you in, but in talking to other moms and my own experiences, this is a universal issue with every medical practice wether it's pediatric, adult or specialty.
