The runners of the venue think that earshattering loud sound improves the movie experience. This might be true for deaf people but for me, a person with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis (Oversensitivity to noise) it did not. My Tinnitus is now so loud it keeps me from sleeping. If you have hearing problems - stay away from Splendid.
