I rarely write negative reviews, but our disappointing experience at Lido di Bellagio continues to trouble me weeks later.
My wife and I visited for drinks, drawn by descriptions of the stunning lake views. The scenery truly lives up to its reputation, but the service made us feel unwelcome from the start.
Multiple reviews have warned about staff rudeness toward tourists, and unfortunately, we experienced this firsthand. The server took our order with visible disdain, and throughout our visit, we felt scrutinized by hostile stares from multiple staff members. The atmosphere became so uncomfortable that we nearly left before our drinks arrived.
Despite the undeniably beautiful lakeside setting, I cannot recommend Lido di Bellagio. Save yourself the unpleasant experience and choose one of the many other establishments around Lake Como where you'll be treated as a valued guest rather than an unwanted intrusion. read more
