Mandeep explored different approaches to assist with my mobility, while Chris is an Osteopathic practioner, who applied the deep tissue release therapy. This therapy felt like a blend of massage and chiropractic techniques. Arbind was part of the massage team, providing valuable support. Recently, Mandeep reviewed my latest ultrasound results and, now that he has a clearer understanding of the issue, he will be taking a different approach to my treatment. Although my arm is not yet at 100%, the Hayer Health team is working tirelessly to get it there, aiming for a pain-free recovery and return to full mobility. They are committed to ensuring that I can once again do everyday tasks like combing my hair, putting on jackets, and lifting my arm above my shoulder. Just today I had a treatment for an ice fall that I had during the recent snowfall (I had booked the appointment for general follow up treatment of general aches and pain that I accumulate). When she came in to see what we were working on today, I filled her in on my fall and her first question was "Did you hit your head?" and not anything regarding muscle or ligament, as she was aware of concussions that plagued me in the past. I assured her that was the only thing I didn't hit and then we began to work on the things that I had injured. As one was a knee, she did multiple tests and bends on both knees, as to set a baseline as well as check the general stability of both. Eventually she gave me an evaluation to the actual injury and recommended that we tape it, noting that if the tape itself caused irritation that I should remove it. Immediately my knee felt so much better (after she left and I put shoes back on and walked around for a bit my knee felt 1000% better). Following that we did some back work as well and again, it feels SO much better. For anyone who sees a clinician for any length of time, developing a good rapport and trust in the treatments is a must and Teryn is the gold standard. Beyond this, she is so kind and personable and relatable. Both pre, post, and during treatment she is willing to listen to tales of your life as well as share some from hers. Today I mentioned a book that I had planned to get my Mom for Christmas but only had vaguely looked at, other than the cover. Right away she knew the author and the other books he had written and gave glowing reviews so Mom now has multiple gifts headed her way. Thank you Teryn, for being phenomenal at your job and being so kind. As for the clinic itself, it's great. Excellent facilities, friendly staff, benefits affordable. Close to the R4 bus line. I asked some basic questions about the scheduling and about the physiotherapists. For whatever reason, she became very impatient and did not care to respond. I guess rude receptionists are pretty common but I have never encountered someone who just flat out ignored the customer. On my way to the centre I was contemplating starting a long term program in this location but the way she represented the store convinced me otherwise. Before I left I asked to purchase an equipment and was greeted by the same response. I decided to film her. She did not even notice this as she was too busy browsing the computer. I uploaded the video on YouTube and the comment sections agree that her behavior is completely unacceptable and unusual since I was the only customer at the front desk at the time. Not saying she is a complete moron but she seemed to be unable to handle the receptionist job. All she had to do is answer my questions or refer me to an expert but she seems unable to do that without giving attitude like an impossible kindergartener. It is a shame because two people referred me to this location.

She was courteous and patient and really took the time to have me properly set up. When one is in pain, sorting forms or administrative information can be a different type of challenge, but she was helpful and kind. My physiotherapist was Gordon. He really did help me with terrible pain I was feeling. I couldnt manage to secure an appointment before an upcoming trip so I had to go to another clinic for follow up.The doctor at the other clinic spoke very highly of the treatment I had been provided at Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic so far. He actually encouraged me to continue physiotherapy there as soon as I could find a spot. This is the only downside I could think of...like all good things, they are in high demand. You need to book an appointment as soon as possible because spaces fill up. I read a comment about Gordon being aloof. Some people prefer a therapist that acts with a lot of jokes,camaraderie and lots of humor. Personally I value professionalism and most importantly respect when someone will enter my personal space for treatment purposes. As a woman, I have felt uncomfortable at other places when I went for regular massage. At Marpole Physiotherapy I felt comfortable,safe, respected and in good hands at all times. I did not take the time to write this review for the clinic, they will continue to do great whether I provide this review or not. Their service speaks for itself. I mostly do it because when one is not feeling well and in a lot of pain you value being prompted in the right direction, where they will actually help you. He did some massage, and we mostly worked on teaching me simple exercises to get me back in shape for hiking. I've seen him half a dozen or more times over a period of months, each time given exercises that were targeted to where I had progressed to at that time. I just told him I felt ready to go back to hiking, and he suggested three exercises I can do for "maintenance" (my term). I would happily go to him again for help with any pain or body problem. He's very professional, pleasant, and helpful. P.S. My wife has benefited from his physical therapy before I first say him, and she recommended him to me. A different physical therapist (at a different place) had given her exercises that caused her greater pain and disability. Alex gave her a new, different diagnosis and exercises, and she soon was greatly improved.

The facility is also very nice, brand new, and conveniently located. I've been seeing Krysta, and she is so on top of things. She seems to know her stuff cold, is very easy to talk to and explains things well. She is also good at communicating with your healthcare team so your doctor is aware of what's going on. The first appointment which is the assessment was invaluable for me in getting a proper diagnosis and prognosis. Now I'm on a treatment plan and we've set some goals to reach for which is always a good strategy. Oh also, another thing that is great is that when you pay, they can directly bill your insurance company which saves you paperwork. Overall, would highly recommend coming here!
