Im talking about parking, admissions, counselors, bookstore, library, finance. Everything is so freaking easy to get to! Its all in one building and the service is just the best! They work together like a family from what i gathered this last week of trying to get all my ducks in a row for summer semester. Parking is always a headache at the Rio Grande spot since its downtown, and goodluck finding the right building for the services or classes you need there. Special shout out to the counselor here, Gloria Miller!! That woman knows how to truly counsel a fresh off the boat student like me and break down every lil step we need to know! From registration processes to financial aid to breaking down the fees we can expect to deciding which degree works best for you. She will help you through it all! She also knows everything an active duty members such as myself needs to know and the exemptions that come with it. So she will save you so much heartache and time to get your education going! I wish i made the decision to see her a long time ago. I wasted too much time with a bunch of other random counselors between the rio grande and valley verde campus! Really cool hang out/studying areas all over the building too. With student's arts and crafts diaplayed all over and comfty chairs indoors or outdoors, im so happy this will be my place of studying for the next couple of years.

I had a good learning experience at Emerald Nursing School. I recently took a class to get…read morecertified as a nursing assistant. The class was reasonably priced. It finished in about three weeks. If you're able to learn fast, you'll breeze right through it. If you can't, I would recommend a longer program. They have an eight-week weekend option at Emerald. The tuition also includes the textbook and scrubs to wear for clinicals. You don't get to keep the text book. The state exams are separate costs. The class includes a lecture and skills lab, along with clinicals five days a week. If we weren't going through a pandemic, you would go to clinicals at a long term care facility aka a nursing home or assisted living facility. Once you finish the class, you take a state exam. The state exams are delayed right now. They'll hopefully resume in July, maybe August. You're still able to find jobs in healthcare by finishing the class I took. The classes are pretty small, which is good for me. There was a total of nine students in my class. You have to wear a mask at all times and social distance always. The staff is also kind and informative. Overall a good experience here. It's affordable and finishes quickly. Oh and another thing, you also get CPR certified after taking the nursing assistant class. That's typically a separate cost.

Having 3 young kids and 4 months of 40 hour academy weeks, it was a godsend to have this efficient and flexible program to get me fully certified and ready to work! The patience and availability of the instructors made the the whole instructional course and skills portion a flawless transition. I never had a problem with reaching Lisa-Anne Raney Waldock whenever I had any questions or concerns regarding the course or arranging the skills meetings. Everything was conducted in a comfortable, warm, and professional manner. They were very thorough and encouraging. The SAC has been around for at least 20 years, maybe longer. My high school graduation was held…read morehere! I came to watch my son run during his track meet recently. He won first place in the 100! It was an exciting moment for me and my family! The SAC hosts several sporting events like high school football games, track/cross country meets and band competitions. It has plenty of parking and it's very clean. Be sure to put on lots of sunblock and/or wear a cap because there is hardly any shade. It's good to also bring a cushion to sit on because the bleachers are made out of cement/concrete. You'll also be doing a lot of walking to your car or the restroom. I'd also recommend bringing a snack and/or water. They have concession stands but just in case they aren't open. They usually are though. The sound is always good here. They also have a separate building with a large swimming pool and more.
